hi good video thanks... if you *DCAT [CTRL-N] that will display a page at a time... [SHIFT] for next page... ESC to quit list.. hope this helps a bit.. Paul..
This is a perfect tutorial for just getting into this for the first time when you have plenty of experience around computers, but haven't touched BBCs for 30 years. Thank you
Really helpful getting me started with my new sd card reader. Quick question, Is it possible to copy a floppy disk image to the sd card using the beeb?
Thanks for the feedback. :) As for copying a floppy drive image to the SD card using a Beeb... I'm guessing this means taking an original Beeb floppy and making a disk image on the Beeb first before copying it over? To be honest I've never tried this (on account of not currently having a _working_ BBC floppy drive), but I suspect there are folks over at the Stardot forums that could probably do this in their sleep. Have a look over there. Best of British.
what are all the codes for *fx commands on the bbc micro ?? ? do you or anyone else know this answer please ?? in order to run cpm or msdos on a BBC master 128 home micro ??? thanks
What are the odds?! Congrats on the new upgrade and I hope this video helped. BTW if you haven't downloaded MMBExplorer yet, I strongly suggest that you do.
@@OzRetrocomp I could of course just read the manual, but sometimes easier to absorb on RUclips. I hadn't appreciated that I could save to it just like a floppy for whatever reason. I just got one and hadn't really explored it. I couldn't figure it how to get my own disks working again but sorted now. I like that the cd contains all the information for roms of the past. It really is a work of art and dedication.
hello im trying to run a program from the bbc micro emulator 65 host on virtual acorn please help how do i do it? do i run dfs reader or something? thanks.............

Thanks for the kind words... yeah, I had to re-learn DFS to get my Beeb up and running, so this is as much for me as anyone else :)
@@OzRetrocomp That's why I always write README files in my software projects, and future me always appreciates it :D
Thank you so much. Just acquired a Beeb and bought a MMFS adaptor, finding this has helped my understanding so much.
It's such a beautiful "font" on the BBC series of computers... 😍
This was really helpful. Thanks.

I need to go read the DFS manual to understand how directories work...
So do I. 😁 Link should be in the description (I hope).
