Whatever you do, don't take online dating seriously at all haha. That book called The Dating App Confessions by Logan Tindell was funny.

Having a great online presence these days can also help tremendously, should come as another way to generate dates but not necessarily the main way, it’s a combination of both usually

I don’t agree with this at all. You can get in big trouble approaching women these days. Now if you’re 6’2” handsome Chad, she’ll probably talk to you. But if you’re not the ideal guy in her mind, then she’ll either flat out reject you or she’ll make it very uncomfortable for you. I don’t think this is good advice at all.

At all, depends how you do it, if you know how to speak to woman, they'll still appreciate you walked up to them, obviously you need to know how to make a good impression. This is something any guy can work on and improve 👌
