Chamoy is a red liquid condiment made from dehydrated fruits like plums and apricot, chili powder, salt, sugar, and citrus. Tamarind is a tree that bears the fruit that is brown in color when ripe, sort of looks like peas in a pod except the inside is a little pastier and the taste is really sour when eaten natural. A lot of mexican candy uses both chamoy and tamarind

Im Salvadoran and tamarind is a fruit that tastes between tangy, sweet and sour. Salvadorans make juice with it. Chamoy is a spicy sauce (kind of like the Mexican sriracha but not really lol). It goes really well with tamarind ☺️

I love artificially flavored strawberry things because I'm allergic to natural strawberries. I miss eating them. I recently tried mixing Nesquik strawberry powder with McDonald's vanilla ice cream and it tastes just like those strawberry shortcake ice cream bars. Really good. You should try it! You could try different powdered things mixed with ice cream and vanilla frosting. I heard that Cool-aid mix is great to change up the flavor of cake icing. Rosana Pansino tried to do it with cool-aid and Jello pudding mix and the Jello was too granular for it but Cool-aid worked good. I've added different Jello mix (just the dry) to sweet bread like Amish Friendship bread and it makes it moister and gives it a little extra flavor too.

I don't remember the jelly stuff in the middle though. I just remember that they were really good. Now I am going to have to see if I can find some. LOL! I'm not a goat person either. My parents had a friend that had goats and tried to convince me that the milk for our fresh sliced Strawberries was cow milk not goat. It was goat milk and it ruined my nice strawberries. So the lady got me a new bowl of them and I was good. The milk tasted like they smelled. Horrible! FYI, Separating the Nanny from the Billy doesn't help the taste either. Also, in some Walmart's they have a little "pyramid" of the Mexican candies and treats close to some of the express check outs.
