I was a notion user for 1.5 years of med school and it was fine but I just felt that I had more freedom with how much I can put on a page using one note. Notion couldn’t be viewed offline either but One note can soo it was an easy switch over to using One Note.
Omg this video was so straightforward and easy to follow. Will definitely be adopting this and using these steps.I’ve been wondering how to take notes and this is just straight forward and easy.
tysm- i am going into first year of med school and this is great ty- i used mindmaps for my A levels (UK exams when ur 17/18 leaving school) and they were good so glad to know thats smthn i can continue w! i rlly appreciate it being a shorter vid too my attention span is appalling lol
Congrats!!! Which med school are you in? Yes absolutely, mind maps are super underrated these days! I literally cut so many parts out to get it down to 5mins- I’m so glad that you liked it 🙏🙏😍
😭i can only imagine, sorry for the pain of it lol. Im starting at Keele University (UK) on the 18th Sep, thank you! Also I meant to ask, how did you keep tack of exam dates and deadlines for homework? Did you use google calendar or did you use something else? I am currently using Microsoft ToDo to track all my deadlines and exams but i feel like I am always missing something. Would you reccomend putting on it on google docs too as its own calendar for school?
@@trinhity9630 I always use Google Calendar for these things! I don’t set a reminder for them but checking Google calendar became a habit so I could see what’s coming up all the time
Thank you! I currently use the Samsung S8 Plus and the S pen. They are fantastic. I used the surface go tablet in university and the Microsoft pen and they worked really well too.
I will complete watching this vid. Later, but it is so great , this is my first video watched in yoyr channel , hope u the best . Do u have any means of communication like social media, wanna ask u about some things on study and productivity, I am 4th year Physiotherapy student in Egypt.

How do you download lecture slides (having it in pdf form) into OneNote without it coming up as blurry? I’ve noticed that anytime you export a PDF to OneNote from windows and then view the slides on an IOS device they come up as blurry.
I’ve not had any problems with it being blurry…. I’m not sure why you’re experiencing that. Maybe you might have to try re-downloading the app and try again
I just started my first year of medical school and saw a lot of people make notes on onenote- I currently annotate my lecture slides (as all my lectures are pre-recorded online) and then use a combination of older previous students notes and flashcards from my medical school to convert the information into anki cards? (what do you think of that) I'm finding it quiet difficult to try and find a perfect study plan right now so I'm looking around
Hi! I think everyone has different ways that work for them. I've had friends in med school that do this, but they still have their own notes besides having anki cards. The problem I had with this method is I found that I couldn't access specific information quick enough say when I'm in 4th year wanting to refer to my 1st year medical note. Does this make sense? You want your notes to be future proof as medicine is a life long career. :)
I’m haven’t used scrintal before so I’m not 100% sure but on a quick glance of the app- OneNote has an infinite scrolling vertically and horizontally. You can literally click on any area of the canvas to start writing or drawing. Zooming in doable too on desktop but especially so on tablet. I hope that sort of answers your question!
I am starting my undergrad for Med Sci this September. May i ask what kind of laptop did you use and as of right now which one do you feel the best is to use for med school is (according to you)? I don't wanna regret after buying any:(( Also does airdrop really matter? I have an Iphone but I'm thinking to buy a 2 in 1 laptop cuz i dont have enough bucks to buy both a mac and an ipad :( pls HELPPP
thank you very much for all the insight. I love One Note myself, but this inspired me to use it even more. Question, Do you or did you, use a tablet during lecture? or the laptop? I have the Surface 2 laptop, and i love it, but i see other students using a tablet instead and much more convenient to make notes.
Thank you for your lovely comment, I’m so glad you’re inspired hehe makes this video worth making! Yes, so I used both laptop and surface tablet with one note. I honestly think the laptop was good enough for me but I didn’t know the tablet was going to be THAT much better haha. I loved the tablet because I memorise well with drawing- so that’s a big bonus. Defo something to consider if you want to treat yourself 😜
Just a little comment, Notion free plan is fine for student use. And if you register with university email you get unlimited file uploads. Still not sure what app I like the most tho
so you do this all on the one note online? cuz when i try to use the app on my laptop the layout is different(not like the layout in this vid) to the online one
Hi Eni! I do all of this on the desktop app, which does look slightly different from the online view. As I currently don’t use one note frequently, I haven’t downloaded the app!

Hi Aaisha! Im so glad you found it easy to understand. LOVE one note, the app itself is just so user friendly and straightforward too :P
Could you make a video of master pages and linking systems? It’s such a good idea and I will like to adopt this to my note taking system.
I’ll add it to my list of videos to make!
Will be trying this when I return to school for my B.A in Psychology. Thank for the tips!
