It may come off as cliche to see Destoroyah rise up for the third time after what seemed to be his downfall (counting both the previous part and this one) and while it is true I prefer to see it as a testament to his power: this guy just REFUSES TO DIE, no matter what you throw at him; only unconventional means (Like plunging him into our sun) are needed to kill it; and comparing how Destoroyah battled Godzilla and Kong 2v1 in the previous part it seems now like it was holding back, as SpaceGodzilla has comparable power to both Godzilla and Kong combined, maybe a little more (without his crystal power-up) and he was still getting wrecked during the moon fight. If Rodan is a fire demon, then Destoroyah was either the King of Demons or something more, like an unstoppable force similar to the grim reaper/death itself. I wonder how Destoroyah would battle Ghidorah, though I would imagine even he would have serious difficulty destroying the Destroyer, regeneration may not be enough to last against something this tough.

Now for the reason Kiryu beheaded this gigan is cause he was built basically from the remains of Dagon who once fought muto prime and took control of the metal body to claim his revenge over his ancient foe.
