Months ago, we started watching the TV series Vikings and got intrigued with the legends of Ragnar Lothbrok, Rollo, Lagherta, Bjorn Ironside, Ivar the Boneless and all the other legendary Viking characters
Today, we are on a travel around England to discover the legacy left by the Vikings
We travelled all the way up to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, to see the ruins of the first monastery to be raided by the Vikings in 793 AD
Then we head south to York. Once per year, York hosts a Viking festival, which by chance just happen to take place while we were there: it is called the Jorvik Viking Festival

The Vikings certainly own a fascinating history of exploration and plundering. Nice reporting and research. Happy travels.

This is really cool! I never realized there were so many Viking reenactments and places to visit in England. I'll have to add some of them to my list when I go - such a fascinating history!

Guys, this is awesome! So well put together and you visited some amazing places. I'm from England and I've been to Northumbria, but wish I had checked out these spots. You've inspired me to explore my own country more haha. York is beautiful too, it so interesting to hear some more about the Viking history. Thanks so much for sharing!

Man, that church was beyond beautiful! I have always wanted to visit it love all the detail in the architecture and stain glass windows. They don't make things like that anymore

So interesting! I've never been to Ireland. But I've learned a little bit about vikings from Erik Northman from Tru Blood. LOL. Those reenactments are cool! Did anyone get hurt? They looked like they were really wacking each other! LOL! Great video! All the shots of the castle and the nature were so epic! And that church at the end! WOW

So so so interesting. I love exploring history when I travel. I actually haven't watched the show yet (I know I'll get hooked ). I'll have to make time to watch. Your baby is so darn cute and I love how you even included a baby narration at the end. Love it! Subbed.
