  • Full American recipe for creating “SheleeArt Style” blooms! Of course, I have to put my own twist on it and make them a bit abstract. Substrates are wooden box purses that you can find at Michaels (in-store only). Next video will concentrate on using this unique pouring medium in other techniques. In the meantime, let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for the love and support!!!

    thank God I found you . You are the only one I found that shows the cans , and explains the materials needed ....everyone else just rambles and talks and blabs without showing the things actually needed for the blooms .

    Thank you for your recipe and the products that you use. There are so many recipes on line it was helpful to see I can buy a can of white house/interior paint and get the same results. I haven't worked on any acrylic pours for about a year. I switched to alcohol pours on paper since I also like to use them in card making. After watching you do your pours on your granite... I've decide to use my kitchen counter and pour again. Thank you for the inspiration! BTW the first canvas that your husband likes remind me of an agates and I thought they were beautiful. I've made jewelry for years so I appreciate what mother nature creates.

    Hi Karen! I saw a peice you did recently using what you've been learning with the shelee art but executed like a more traditional pour on Instagram and its stunningand the possibilities are exciting! Your one of the 1st I've seen that has incorporated the bloom teqcniqe and its properties while still moving forward with acrylic pouring as a whole. I've done my own experimenting but my point was that it's encouraging to see an artist I respect, with a larger platform bringing in relevant content & fresh ideas.
    I guess I could have articulated all that with a "great work " but I was recently reminded of how much value there is in feedback. Most especially for working artists.
    So I thought I'd say that. Beautiful work as always but also thanks for diversifying and inspiring. Mahalo 🤙

And maybe I used another artists recipe with a little alcohol ink. What do you think? Are you still using the squirt of glue all? Does it hold the cells better? My experiments are really ranging. From excellent to wth happened?? Really loving swiping more than spinning to you know...show them who's boss! Got that from you!

I took Shelee’s course and am not on Facebook to talk with the 2000+ artists conversing about the various products in the USA to use. Thank you so very much.🌸

    • @WaterfallAcrylics
      @WaterfallAcrylics  4 года назад

      It’s spreads and makes a giant messs. Doesn’t work with the base paint

  • @ileneweinstein281
    @ileneweinstein281 4 года назад +1

    Karen, love your videos ! Just a little unsure of the house paints. So the base 1, white is used to coat the canvas. The base3 untinted is used for the Pillow? But I think you used the same white paint for the pillow under your puddles. I don’t think I’m right. Help! 🥰😇

    • @WaterfallAcrylics
      @WaterfallAcrylics  4 года назад

      It’s this: White house paint to coat canvas; the UNTINTED house paint is mixed with varnish-that’s your pouring medium to mix the colors with. The Amsterdam titanium white is mixed with the Floetrol to make the cell activator-the last color on top of the all the other puddles of colors.
