Kasey is refreshing because she is real. Nothing fake, no pretensions. Her art comes from within. This is the perfect follow up song from Lose Yourself. This should be the anthem for every woman on the planet. G'day from Australia.
She has evolved into a cross between a torch and blues singer. She has their authenticity and raw emotion. The more I listen to her soulful songs I am reminded of Billie Holliday's passion - please Billie fans don't feel insulted I love Billie. Kasey is becoming better and better as she ages ......... like a fine wine.
If you want something haunting, try Kasey and Paul Kelly singing 'I still pray' 2000 ARIA awards. Brilliant Christmas addition. Love your reactions. Cheers from Oz.
She did a 'live' performance of this in the US a few years ago. worth checking it out. the crowed were so enthusiastic and she was very moved by the response. Love your channel lovely. Merry Christmas from Australia
She is just one of a kind - leaves it out there everytime. Always hear her live. The next two on the list will be 'The Captain' from these PASTE sessions and 'Not Pretty Enough' live at the ARIA awards with Keith Urban. She is a phenomenal songwriter as well as singer.
So glad you found this one, and what I think is the best version. She's a little bit special, our Kasey. Check out The Captain which she released when she was about 19. Very different voice, but still uniquely Kasey.
That enthusiasm is worth a follow !! a good follow up, showing her personality and her enthusiasm to support up and coming artists , try Kasey Chambers with Sam & Lee Dyball - The Captain
That was awesome. Thanks heaps for reacting to Kasey. With Christmas around the corner would be awesome if you can react to my favourite cover of “O Holy Night” by David Phelps. This is heavenly
I agree, this was absolutely beautiful as well, I also loved the first one you reacted to by her. A genuine artist with a genuine voice. Easily recognizable 🙂 Even still, what stood out to me the most here is her incredible breath control. I don't know if you noticed, but if not, have it in mind on a listen. I think she is an artist you have to experience live, or at least watch a live recording of, it just adds another depth to it all. And I know that she sounds amazing live, there is no other possibility. Very nice accompaniment on the guitar as well👍 Take care, Adrianna! See you tomorrow 🙂 Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
Good reaction to a great song. Where to from here? Depends on what emotion you want. 'Nullarbor Song (Live)' - Homesickness 'The Captain' - It's all just too much, can I hide behind you for a while? 'Not Pretty Enough' - What do I have to do for you to notice me? 'Barricades and Brick walls' - You're mine, boy! 'Rattlin' Bones' - Old Negro Spiritual.
Id love to see her do something with amother aussie singer Karise Eden...check out her the voice performance of Its a Mans World. Also i think you'd like the Black sorrows..Never Let Me Go.
Glad you liked it. It's a great song. There are quite a few versions on youtube, all slightly different. My favourite version is the Bluegrass Underground one: ruclips.net/video/OeWzXIkA8Rg/видео.html Alternatively, there is also one with guitar, slide and violin on the Cayamo boat, 2019. ruclips.net/video/WqiT5z2v__s/видео.html You might want to check then out - just for your own enjoyment. Both more powerful than this one , likely because they are before an audience,

I should know this by now, but who's the dude on guitar that makes every one of these (Ain't No) performances sing - her brother?
I’m not going to lie … I don’t know 🤣 I’m sure somebody told me but I’ve officially forgotten 😂
No problems, so love your reactions, was hoping a fellow Aussie might answer my question 😁@@SoulSessionSundays
Don't worry! If they have any musical taste at all, they will stay to the end. 😊
The captain?
Not pretty enough?
Let’s go

She wrote this at the end of a nasty divorce. It's OK though. He was a selfish little jerk anyway.
