Thats when Shantanu and Satyavati pray to Ved Vyaas muni to use his magical powers to grant them a child as boon.....
When Ambika and Ambalika met Ved Vyaas in turns, they could not handle the aura of him...
Due to Ved Vyaas's aura,
Ambika got scared and she closed her eyes...
Thats why her son was cursed to be born blind...(dhrithraasthra)
Ambalika for the same reason, shivered and couldnt control herself...
Thats why her son was cursed to be pale and yellowish (like in jaundice) (Pandu)...
Because of no capable person born by them, Satyavati sent her servant to be miraculously impregnated by Ved Vyaas too, (she was used to serving great gurus and sadhus, so she could handle the aura of Ved Vyaas and thus, her son was perfect... (Vidhur)...

Jisne zindahi bhar chhal kiya aakhir me usko vaisi hi mrutyu mili. Phir chahe vo duryodhan ho, jaydrat, dushashan ya aapka pyara mahan dhanurdhar. Kyuki uski hi sajish thi abhimanyu ko chhal se marne ki.
