    Kushal you bring amazing perspectives,
    Me being an indian hindu think different and act differently when I'm surrounded by like minded other indian hindus and even the muslims who are culturally assimilated.
    I live among a populace where your phenotype hardly has anything to do with your identity.
    I can now imagine the challenges that they must be facing when all of a sudden they have to make such a radical shift in the way they think and act , yet kudos to them that they turned out to be quite a successful community.

    Razib must understand that the Term HINDU NATIONALIST in India PRACTICALLY means a HINDU person who loves INDIA. In India there is no difference between NATIONALIST & PATRIOT in a practical sense.

    One thing I want to emphasize, Affirmative action is and always dead wrong and hurts all. By definition, it assumes or try to equalize outcome. Which is stupid and worthless idea. You can give everyone equal opportunity and that is a must to start but messing with the outcome is a fool's mission. It is destructive to its core and to a society anytime any where. Minority population rise much better without that and in fact, it was designed to keep the minority down. It is like lowering the height of basketball goals for shorter players or the ones have jumping limitations in a game. Democrates cant leave people alone, they have to mess with every aspect in the false notion of democracy so that they have life long job as a politician doing nothing but harm.

    Razib is spot on. Most first gen Indian Americans are neither beneficiaries nor fans of reservation quotas in India. They see it as anti-merit. Hardly surprising they are anti AA in US as well. 2nd Gen on the other hand lean left like most young educated people do and are more pro AA.

    • @harisadu8998
      @harisadu8998 Год назад

      Younger gen got brainwashed at a young age by the democrat media machine. So they support black lives matter more than things that talk more about things that actually affect themselves.

    Kushal loves reservation. It's his biggest weakness. Now that he's left business and become a professional commentator, you can expect his views to become worse.

      He is a BA, hasn't aspired to get into IIT or IIMs or other top colleges in India. Suffice to say he hasn't experienced first hand the brunt of reservation menace in the top education institutes and how it changes lives of the top 5-10% of general category populace that actually drives the economy largely.
      Don't take his stance on this seriously at all. He has never had a skin in the game. His view on reservation is as delusional as me asking Taiwan to give up freedom to make peace with China or me giving solutions to solve the middle eastern crisis in chaste English.
