This is a really good, objective comparison of the Hellcat Pro and the Glock 19. I could see a case where a new shooter is being encouraged by a seasoned shooter to buy a Glock 19, and this video would help them see the differences in a well thought out way. Good info for anyone debating between the two for some reason.
These are sometimes tough to do without being overly harsh on one or liking another too much. Glock is a default for a lot of people either by word of mouth or people in stores recommending them. They may be a great choice or may no fit at all.
I really appreciate the video!! I bought the hellcat because of your hellcat pro vs 365 xl video and I haven’t been disappointed yet! This gun has run every ammo I’ve put through it including some 5 year old reloads I had laying around! It’s definitely noticeable on the recoil but that is to be expected on a compact pistol such as this! I love all of the insight the community has provided on this gun and your videos are at the top of them! Keep up the good work!
I got the original Hellcat back in 2019 when they came out in a trade in for my old Gen 4 Glock 19. Even though the Glock 19 and Hellcat look a lot alike, the evolution is by far better with the Hellcat. The only modifications I made to my Hellcat were getting a DPM adjustable recoil spring system to fit my way of shooting and to reduce some of the snappy recoil found in all micro-compact pistols. I have never regretted getting rid of my old Glock for the Hellcat, it's a great everyday carry gun.
I have shot glocks and 1911's for years. Held a Hellcat Pro a while back and take possession of it Monday. Excited to put it through its paces and see how she does. I have 3 models of the glocks all in .40 cal as that is what I carried on duty. The 1911's were also carried for a short time. I have put thousands of rounds through each without a hiccup. So we shall see how the Springfield Hellcat Pro performs.
Im a first time buyer, could you expand on this a bit? Primarily use will be CC and the hellcat pro is my front runner. What do you think makes the glock 19 better?
@@andyswimmer91 Glocks history of reliability is what sets it apart. “It just works.” The Hellcat Pro is much newer although original Hellcat has been out for a few years. For strictly CC I would recommend Hellcat Pro out of these two. I’ve had both. Never had a malfunction out of Glock. I’ve run about 700 rounds through Hellcat Pro with no malfunctions. The slimness of the Pro makes it easier for CC.
@@andyswimmer91 nothing wrong with the hellcat pro. It will prolly be a great gun for you. The Glock 19 is slightly bigger, so it’ll be easier to shoot, a tiny bit harder to conceal. It has amazing aftermarket support and holster availability. It’s known as one of the most reliable guns of all time. It would flex easier into home defense and competition roles. It’s the do all pistol if you only have one. However if you end up going hellcat pro don’t feel bad, it will be a great gun for you. Welcome to the community. Edit: Oh also only one has taken out a mass shooter at 40 yards ;)

I just bought a Hellcat pro yesterday waiting to pick it up in Thursday. It was between the pro and the 365XL. After this review I’m feeling pretty good about my choice. I got to shoot a few mags of it and it felt an amazing and less snappy than the glock 43x. Great channel great reviews. I’m also out here in Arizona I heard you mention it a few times. I’m in Tempe. Keep the videos coming
Great comparison and something I really wanted to know. I had to run my Glock 19 full of lint and dirt for 1500 rounds to get a malfunction. My wife has the regular Hellcat with about 800 rounds and no malfunction.
Had the 365XL. Loved it but with large hands, I felt like my hand was overwhelming the pistol. Never could get comfortable on the grip. Hellcat Pro fit like a glove when I picked it up. Ergonomics as you state. Also have the Gen 5 Glock but like the slimmer profile for ccw on the Cat. Good review.
I just purchased the HELLCAT PRO and this side arm is AWESOME.. I carry everyday and really like how well it conceals and love the way it feels when shooting. I have no optics on it and still really accurate
I got my hellcat pro CA version last month. I really like the trigger and feel that it’s a way better trigger than my g19.3. The take up to the wall is not mushy, the wall is clearly defined, and the break is very crisp unlike my stock Glock 19. Even when I changed out my Glock triggers to Overwatch ones, the trigger still feels mushy. Hellcat now has 17rd standard mags instead of the 15 rd now. The only issue I have with my hellcat pro is the rough grip, it’ll dig into the web part of my hand after a few rounds. I got a hogue grip to fix that.
I am rocking the the hellcat pro myself. So easy to edc I forget I even have it on me sometimes. The trigger I feel is a pound atleast to heavy but still shoot it well. Slightly down and left of center but training to get better for sure. New trigger soon.
I purchased a Springfield Armory XDM it shot great felt great in the hands but it would not load my favorite ammunition Hornady Critical defense. Sometimes it would have a failure to feed for that reason. I got rid of the Springfield and now my everyday carry is a Glock.
Always carry a G19 but lately I'm looking for a smaller profile. I think the Pro fits that criteria I have (prefer) 4 inch upper, 15 round, 1 inch thick slide and optics ready). Thanks for the review
For carrying the hellcat pro is the better choice. Shootability the g19 is. You have to balance it and make your decision. I shot the g19 gen 5 back to back with my HC pro this last weekend. The G19 had noticeably less muzzle flip and recoil.
I’ve been running Glocks for two plus decades and have all the holsters mags etc; it’s a system that I run and trust. But I recently got a Hellcat Pro to replace the G48 in my rotation after I had reliability issues with three different Shield Mags. Annoyed me. As does Glocks refusal to innovate. I run them because I’ve got so much trigger time on them, but I’m not sure if I’ll get another unless they step up their game. Haven’t taken the Pro to the range yet-I pick it up Monday-but we’ll see how she does. I average 300 rounds a week w my carry gun of the season, with most of that being steel; I’m not particularly nice to them.
@@darylragland1502 Yep! I’ve had a dozen Glocks over the last three decades. Only had problems with Shield mags. I even have a Gen 3 G17 w nearly 20k rounds through it. Zero problems. But my G48 doesn’t like the Shield mags at all
Shield mags…. That’s your problem right there. You’re using “imposter parts.” I use the Glock factory OEM 10-rnd mags for my 43x and 48. Plus two spares in the pants pocket. Easy. I’m confident I’ll repel any bad guy(s) with that combination. Train yourself to reload quicker with the 10 rounders. It’s not like you’re on-duty chasing down bad guys with a 43x or 48, for why would anybody do that? That’s what the 19 or 17 is designed for.
@@darylragland1502 Yup, I totally agree. The Shield magazines are Overpriced range-junk. Nothing beats current modern Glock OEM magazines for ultra reliability. I don’t understand why people always want “more.” I’m still trying to find out what the “magic number” of rounds is to carry concealed and where “enough” …just is. Especially for ccw use or off-duty use for cops? If my concealed carry needs for the day warrants “more” weight and bulk than a 43x or 48 with factory 10-round magazines plus two spares in my pocket, I’ll carry a 19 or 19x also with two spare magazines. I’m not afraid to carry a “bigger hammer” concealed (when needed) as I’ve been doing so professionally now for 32 years. Most times, it’s just the 43x plus two spare mags in my cargo shorts.
I can see how newer-ish shooters might choose some of these thinner grip options. Ive been carrying a glock every day since 1996. Before that i carried either a pt92 or a 1911. The “glock sized” grip is just engrained into my preferences now. The only real change ive made is i moved to a gen 4 19 when i started having heart issues and started suffering from neuropathy (nerve damage, feeling) in my hands and the gen 4 feels perfect in either hand. And btw, i will say that a magwell added to a 19 is awesome. I chose the magpul.
EXACTLY... you sound alot like me ... I've got a few GLOCK'S & everyone of them is GEN 4'S & regardless of what people say about the GEN 4 I've got at least a couple thousand rounds through all of mine except one of them & THANKFULLY NOT a Hiccup with any of them with Many different types of AMMO
I’ve been carrying my Gen4 G19 for the past several years but I’m wanting something just a tad bit more concealable and have been going back and forth between the 365XL and the Hellcat Pro. Found your channel recently and have been watching all your comparison videos. Got yourself a new sub. Thanks for what you do.
There's always the 43X. W/S-15's. I haven't had one problem in 400 hundred rds. , changed the mag catch in ten minutes. 3pk w/ mag catch 139.99 tax s&h -150$
I have the p365 and my wife has the hellcat. Both are fantastic firearms and you won't go wrong with either. I picked the p365 because I can pick a 10round flush mag, a 12 round extended, and 15 round extended for off hand reload. Really versatile. And that 10 round flush really makes that gun disappear. I could wear shorts and a t shirt and it would easily blend right in. I found recoil to be easily managed with practice and after that accuracy is great and I can still double tap really decent and still be accurate.
I have the hellcat OSP and Glock 19.5. I carry both. Since I have the G19.5, I have been hesitant to get the hellcat Pro. I sold my 43X just recently, because I couldn't bring myself to trust the Shield mags and didn't feel like re-configuring it back to stock. So for deep CCW, I use the hellcat 13/15 spare. But for everything else I swap between my Walther PDPs and Glocks. I also removed CZ from my line up because they are very 'heavy' compared to their Walther/Glock/Springfield counterparts. If they come out with a high capacity Walther PDP slimline or a Walther PDP 10mm, I might just go all out Walther.
Great review and comparison as always. I first bought a Hellcat after comparing it to the P365. Chose the Hellcat because it just felt better in my hands and the P365 was going through issues with the firing pin at the time. Very happy I made that choice. The Hellcat has been flawless after 700+ rounds. I fed it as much a variety of rounds as I could. I deliberately fed it a cocktail of garbage rounds and couldn’t get it to malfunction at all. Once the Pro came out I had to get it. The Pro has been just as flawless. Now that I have both I use the Hellcat for concealed carry and the Pro for the home (and concealed). Unlike other guns I own I don’t feel the need to modify the grip with stippling or grip tape etc. The adaptive grip texture on the Hellcats are amazing. The two have pretty much turned all my other pistols into range guns and that includes Glocks, HK, Beretta, S&W, Ruger. At this point I just can’t see anything replacing the Hellcats. The only other gun I may consider replacing them with is if HK ever comes out with a model that competes in this class. As far as snappiness, I don’t see any significant differences with any other guns in the same class.
I’ve been shooting GLOCKs since I went to the police academy in ‘97. With the exception of a S&W 4506 and 5906 along with a Sig P220 I’ve only shot GLOCKs for the past 25 years so the grip angle that everyone talks about feels natural to me.
While I’m open to change I am not interested in having multiple magazines for each gun. I have several glocks and several mags so to change is not really an option.
Well you’ve already have several different magazines if you have several Glocks. My bedside gun a gen 5 Glock 19. But there’s no way I’d try to conceal it. The hellcat pro comes with 3 15 round magazines.
Been carrying a 19 for years.. Then I found the hellcat pro… In my opinion this is what a 19 should be.. I have a 48 that I love but ammo 10 rounds turned me off. Yes I know about shield arms.. I have never been a big fan of aftermarket pistol mags.. Ar different story. I am loving the heck out of the pro.. to the point I may buy another and beat the crap out of it just to see how well it holds up..round count and mild abuse. I don’t have a channel now but may set one up just for that.. I want this pistol to succeed.. I think it’s that good.. Only in as a competitor to the 19.. I still love my 19 it just sits either on my battle belt or in my get home bag. That’s my 2cents lol. Great channel just rolled across ya today. DB..
I personally prefer the Sig P365XL over the Hellcat Pro. I run the P365XL with an Icarus Precision grip module which I know makes a big difference. Given those two choices, I'd go with the Hellcat. I am not a fan of Glocks, I shoot them worse than any other gun, so I avoid them all together.
365XL is a great carry option. I love mine and I shot everything before choosing it as a current carry option. Was not a fan of the Hellcat platform and that influenced my purchase decision. I carry G19 and 365XL for all the applications I use. But I hear good things about the Hellcat Pro. I guess it’s all about what feels good to you for whatever use you have.
Scott fitting to the person is so overlooked and with all the options we have these days we get a lot of different styles and ergos to make the most of what we buy.
Nice job as usual. I haven't been much of a fan of higher capacity pistols because I have short fingers and they all feel like I'm holding a fence post until I picked up a hellcat osp a couple months ago and it felt great bought it shot a hundred rounds through it and love it about a week later the gun store had the fde version so I bought it too ( wife is about to have a fit) seen the pro the other day yep you guessed it just waiting for the fee version, I think I might need professional help.
I purchased the hell cat pro and it is my main carry now I’ve been a Glock fan boy forever but felt it was time to try something smaller to tuck and duck wow the Pro is the answer and it’s super accurate, I thought I’d never get rid of my gen 3 but this Pro is the real deal
I have learned to work with Hell Cat Pro as my first CC gun. When I first held it loved the sights the grip and trigger then practiced to get used to it.
SHTF, I would have to go with the G19. But for day after day everyday carry, Hellcat Pro all day. This pistol is extremely fast out of the holster and to the target. Running mine with a TLR7A-Sub What I really want is a 4” barrel Hellcat Pro.
I have both a Gen5 19 and the Hellcat Pro, along with a couple 1911s. I owned an original Springfield XD 9mm and a XD Mod2 before I bought my Glock. Dollar for Dollar and feature for feature, I always felt that Glock's have been lacking when compared to other brands [Springfield, S&M M&P, Canik etc]. It's Glock perfection until you change out everything on it to match the features you get out of the box from competitors. If Glock really wants to blow away the competition, they need to add better grip texture, better stock sights and come down $50-$75.
Problem is no matter what Glock doesn’t do. They still get sold over and over again ! Until their sales are really affected , I don’t see them rushing to innovate.
My wife picked up a Hellcat Pro she didn't like it at first, then she looked down the sights and changed her mind. I have carried the G19 for years and the G17 before that. Recently (as in the last 5 years)my Glocks have started biting my hand every time I do any kind of expedient type of shooting. I've actually considered switching to the Hellcat Pro.
I’m a huge Glock fan but also carry the Hellcat OSP when i need a lighter and better concealment. I experienced several FTL’s for the first 400 rounds with the OSP but has been reliable since. I favor the Glocks for accuracy however. I’m still on the fence with the Pro vs G19. Great job with the pros and cons!
I actually sold my P365XL bought a Hellcat Pro. I did not like the XL. I could not shoot it accurately and the grip was too small. My buddy told me he tried both Sig XL and X and he said he can shoot to smalller 365 much more accurately. I dont know what it is about the XL but its just arkward lol
Always been a Springfield man for a while. I currently carry the hellcat but I am in love with my wife’s PSA Dagger. So ergonomic and soft, accurate shooting. I want to trade but she says no. I may have to get a dagger for myself.
Great review! Your fantastic review finalizes my new EDC decision to proceed with the Hellcat Pro. Your emphasis on grip angles was not very well explained on other reviews and since I am a 1911 guy, the Hellcat Pro will work best for me. Subscribed and following! Thank you!
Nice review! Well spoken, thought out, and you support your opinions with realistic experience. I carried a Glock 43X for a while. Currently I have a regular Hellcat, but Springfield is sending me a Hellcat Pro with an optic, so I'm going to try that out and review it in an article on GunMag Warehouse.
Years ago, I went to go buy a Glock and the guy at the counter asked me if I had tried the Springfield. I said, no. He said try it.... I wound up buying my Springfield XD .45. Years later, I need a C&C weapon and went right to the Hellcat OSP. I dont know if I love red dots on C&C weapons, even though I have the Swamp Fox, but I shoot well with it and it hasn't jammed so far. They really need to improve the aesthetics on Glocks as well as grip.
Great video brother!!! If my hands weren't so damn big, I'd carry my MR920(G19). This makes a good argument for the Hellcat PRO though. But I carry one of two pistols, Walther PDP 4", or XR920. Just don't like the short grip.
I carry a 19 daily but we just got the hellcat and the pro available here in California. Got hands on with the pro at a show last week. Definitely picking one up asap as my new daily.
Thanks for another great video. I perused the comments and saw folks choosing a variety of quality pistols for concealed carry. My choice is the P365XL with the Icarus Precision grip.
Been with the 43x for a couple years now but I’m far from a Glock fanboy. Nothing out there gives me the confidence in grabbing my firearm in a high stress situation but the 43x. This hellcat pro may be a solution out of my Glock problem lol. I do carry a Taurus Gx4 when I’m at home and outside working and I really like it. It fits in my mower perfectly, it works every time and scares off coyotes.
I find my self carrying my G-19 gen3 more than my Wilson p320 and my Fn509 mid size. If I want to go micro I go Khar Cm40 or bersa bp9cc or Taurus Tcp109 slim lol to many options not including revolvers but as long as it’s comfortable for the day and outfit works just fine.
@@TacticalConsiderations I’ve been wanting to check it out. I’ve got rather large and long hands so with the palm being thinner causes me to aim down a tad bit
my carry has always been glock 26, but i always considered glock 19 to be my favorite gun and overall the best handgun, just based on all the research i did and i like how it fits in my hand etc. Glock 19 is good for carry but also for home defense and SHTF etc etc etc.
@@TacticalConsiderations all pistols perform better than all people that shoot them. What do you need in performance? if u can a man sized target from 15 yards, u good. What more do you want and need? glocks too me are the ideal because they are sooo simple to break apart and clean and use and they are reliable. reliability is #1.
Great video, but look at your Glock mag... they are steel covered in polymer. I bought a few magpul Glock mags, they are fully polymer and they bulge when fully loaded, factory steel / polymer coated Glock mags don't bulge.
Glock makes a great weapon... However, I'm no guntuber, however, I shoot, train, and I've found given the evolution of striker fired pistols, my experience with springfield, Smith and Wesson, glock, and taurus, I would trust any of them, never had issues with any of them to date. Have sold my M&P and glock in the last two weeks to aid in funding my purchase of a blackout defense Quantum MK 2.
I’ve carried various Springfield pistols for the past 20 years. I typically carry the 4.5 XDm or the subcompact Mod 2, and currently have the Hellcat Pro on order. I’ve shot Glocks in the past but I didn’t care for the grip angle.
Went from carrying a G26 to a gen 5 19 but once I got the Hellcat Pro It won me over super light, accurate, not as heavy overall feels sooo good in my hand. Glock 19 will always be in rotation though.
Ive used a hellcat for my EDC for a couple years now. Never had a misfire or malfunction. It is snappy for sure. Thinking about trading it in on a hellcat pro. Might just keep it and get the pro too. Cant have too many.
i have the gen5 glock 19, and the first thing i did was swap the sights and trigger. i got the trijicon hdxr night sights and the glock upgraded trigger.i love my glock, however i recently purchased the hellcat pro, the desert color. It came equipped w/ a Crimson Trace 1500 red dot and out of the box its really great. i love it! no issues or misfires, and feels great all around!
I have the Hellcat OSP, Hellcat Pro OSP, and Glock 19. They work really well. I stopped carrying them and I ended up with the P365X. It's similar to the Hellcat OSP in size but with a Hellcat Pro OSP grip.
Very good objective comparison! In my opinion, the Hellcat Pro out Glocks the Glock. 1. Thinner = more concealable. 2. Best production sights in the market. 3. Better grip angle & texture. Reliability & trigger about same as the Glock 19. Incidentally, I have shot both brands extensively.
Everyone knows to change the sights on the glock. This is question of value and not quality. This is a old and tired rib on Glock. The grip angle is a major advantage for recoil mitigation and ease of draw under stress or when seated.
Great video. I really liked the original Hellcat and the Pro is also very cool. I like the SIG P365 std and the XL more than the Hellcat models however, and chose those instead. Having said that, If my attire allows it, then Im carrying a Glock G5 19.
Have you tried the Walther PDPs yet? I love my Glock 17.5 and 19.5 because I have personalized them so much that I can't bring myself to sell them. That being said, my order of carry are the hellcat OSP (OG), XDM Elite 3.8C 10mm, Walther PDPs (4" and 4.5"), and then my Glocks.
Good question, I loved the PDP so much I picked it up a year ago. It's the full size 5" model so it plays a different role than the compacts do for me.
To me it breaks down to grip angle. While neither poses many issues, training with each is crucial. Stick with one and run the piss out of it. With all of that said, I CC a Shadow Systems MR920 Elite, the grip modules can be changed that puts it somewhere between an M&P and a Glock.
@@TacticalConsiderations With today's offerings most pistols or rifles will perform well. The differences will lie in the hands and training of each user. Heck back in the day when I joined we were issued A2's, they worked as designed although most guys now would consider them outdated...they still work as designed and do the job. Semper Fi
@@franciscoarrillaga87 Yup, the perfect pistol is the one we can use proficiently, and works every time. Not all pistols are created equal...Highpoint vs Glock for example. No one who's trained will ever claim a Yeet Cannon is as good as a Glock. A guy really can't go wrong with any of the big players, Smith, Glock, Sig, SA, CZ.....there are many others. Price doesn't mean I can shoot it better! But we all know a $150 Highpoint will not shoot equal to a Staccato. Run what ya brung, and train with it.
I regularly carry the Ruger LCPII, G19, G26, 365, 365XL, P10S and P01. I have more rounds through the G19 than any firearm I own. Unless I'm pocket carrying the LCP, I always carry concealed OWB at 3 or 4 o'clock. I always carry the biggest gun I'm comfortable with depending on what I'm wearing and doing. Larger guns are just easier to shoot. My first two choices are always the PO1 and the G19 and I work down from there. Heck, I'd carry a P10F, a G34, or a PDP with a 5 inch barrel if I could make those work. They're just a we bit little difficult to conceal LOL. I don't own a Hellcat of any kind, so I can't comment on shooting it. Great job as always Mike.
As far as concealed carry goes my biggest issue is the grip. I can easily hide a longer slide, depending on what I'm wearing, and with a good gun belt the weight doesn't really bother me. It's hot and humid most of the year here and covering a bigger grip under a tee shirt or light button down is sometimes difficult. Also I've been carrying a Glock for over 35 years so I'm not likely to change, nothing against other manufacturers it's just how it is.
43/19/19x. 43 is my usual go for edc (work/gym/errands). 19 is typically my go to for extended time out and about or away from the house. 19x for the house and winter time. I prefer the 19 for the grip length but my hand fits the 19x grip perfectly.
If Glock is "perfection" then why are there thousands of different upgrades for sale? Maybe the motto should be Glock: Great if You Change The Trigger and the Sights. And you can stomach the grip angle...
I used to diss Glocks, but the Gen 5 just works for me. Triggers are better and enough resistance on the wall and break that I trust it more on draw than say a PDP (also a great option).
@@TacticalConsiderations yes there is and most agencies have them so I personally feel if they are that proven and that reliable. I can trust them wholeheartedly with my life
I have a Hellcat Pro and have had zero issues. Put about 800 rounds through it. It even feeds ammo consistently that none of my other pistols will feed. Specifically Ammo Inc. hollow points.
@@TacticalConsiderations absolutely but I just love the fact you can personalize Glock to exacts because of the aftermarket support, main reason why I’ve stuck to it lol I do love Cz, Sig & Springfield XDM Elite series
I could never get into glock when they came out because the damn molded finger grooves. They’re made for skinny fingers. By the time they stopped putting them on their guns I was already a Springfield fan. Got the hellcat pro and I love it.
I feel that for sure. When I was much younger I loved finger groves as I grew up I began to hate them. Although there is one here and there which surprises me with a small groove in it or wider groves that fit
Watched this comparison before and have since bought the Hellcat Pro. I love my Glocks but seem to carry the HC Pro a lot more!! Just fits better and I get more consistent aiwb draws while training. Again… thanks for sharing!!!
I have the Hellcat Pro and after shooting the first 100 rounds my reaction was its a too snappy, the trigger pinched my finger and it hurt the web on my hand. It did perform flawlessly, its extremely accurate, love the sights (the green front sight and U rear sight are the best I have ever used and after 29 years in L/E I have shot and owned many) and it very comfortable for concealed carry. So I set out to try and get the "flaws" fixed. First was to replace the trigger with an Apex one. Pinch problem solved. Next I had Fred's custom shop Port the slide and barrel. Snappy recoiled reduced but not yet to my satisfaction so I replaced the recoil spring and rod kit with a DMP setup for the hellcat Pro. Felt recoil and snap further reduced to manageable level for faster sight acquisition. Next I applied Talon pro texture to the grip and no more hurting web. I know most people will say but you almost doubled the price of the gun and my reply is your right but at 15 yards I rat hole the 10 ring and head shots.
I know this is anecdotal but I went to the range yesterday to try both the hellcat pro and Glock 19 and the range didn’t have a hellcat because they had a jam which broke a piece off of the frame. This made me want to just buy the Glock for their track record?
I had my Glock for a long time and it’s a great gun but when I held the hell cat pro and shot it I said this is the one I want for my CCW. Gives me options and don’t really have to change much about it and the one I got came with 4 magazines so I’m good on ammo capacity
I’m an ex-po so Glock is what I’ve been into but for concealment reasons I have recently gravitate towards the Hellcat Pro and I am in love. Hopefully it will show to be as reliable as the Glock. I am just praying it shows up to work if, God helps it, I really need it. Good video. Thanks
Great channel! I have both of these guns but I carry the pro and I love it. Better than my Sig xl with Wilson combat grip module. Points natural to me.
I have had my HS H11(exactly the same pistol just not branded Springfield, Im not in the USA) I have carried it daily for almost 2 years and have thousands of rounds through it. Not a single malfunction across all sorts of ammo.
Just bought G19 Gen5 MOS my first Fire arm and my dream gun since childhood.. so happy right now.
Awesome, enjoy it, be safe get some solid experience.
I love Glock
This is a really good, objective comparison of the Hellcat Pro and the Glock 19. @@TacticalConsiderations Can you compare the hellcat pro w p320 m18.
Sometimes you will just find something that fits better.
Thank you for your honesty you just made my decision hellcat!!!
Great video. I'm a G19 devotee. Been considering a Hellcat. They've just made the CA approved roster.
@R3508 it's like the perfect EDC
The evolution is better? How so?
I have shot glocks and 1911's for years. Held a Hellcat Pro a while back and take possession of it Monday. Excited to put it through its paces and see how she does. I have 3 models of the glocks all in .40 cal as that is what I carried on duty. The 1911's were also carried for a short time. I have put thousands of rounds through each without a hiccup. So we shall see how the Springfield Hellcat Pro performs.
Its got a different feeling for sure. Its weird with all the testing I do going back and forth from glocks to sigs and everything else.
Bill, any update?
Update?
I have put my hellcat pro through the paces and I am very pleased with the results and quality of this firearm. I now carry it concealed daily.
@@billhumphrey7846 thanks
Love the content! If I was strictly conceal carrying I’d go hellcat pro, but if it’s someone’s first/only gun it’s hard to beat the G19
Glock 19 is a true bruiser in the industry and hard to compete with.

I love the Springfield stock "U" sights.!
Those sights on the Glock would be perfection.
I really like a blacked out rear and bold font site seems to work for me
The original hellcat was great for me. Once i got used to it my 40sw didnt seem to snap so hard. That pro looks like a winner for springfield.
Pro has been a solid set up for me and my edc for a bit now.
Awesome man. The Sun Devil Town. I enjoy the PRO its a great all around pistol that fills a lot of size roles.
Like the hellcat, the pros trigger isn't great out of the box. I have the apex in both my HC and pro. Only gripe I have with it.
We have one of the Hellcat pro in the shop and man that thing feels sweet
It is a really nice set up . Very natural and comfortable for me
Great comparison and something I really wanted to know. I had to run my Glock 19 full of lint and dirt for 1500 rounds to get a malfunction. My wife has the regular Hellcat with about 800 rounds and no malfunction.
Glocks will run very dirty.
@@TacticalConsiderations I'm afraid if I clean my G19 it won't work!
Yah I am the same with you on the hand issues. .
I just purchased the HELLCAT PRO and this side arm is AWESOME.. I carry everyday and really like how well it conceals and love the way it feels when shooting. I have no optics on it and still really accurate
I'm glad you are enjoying it for all around carry
Especially if you get the Gear Up special. Dollar for dollar I don't think the Hellcat Pro can be beat and I'm a Glock fan. Love my Pro.
I had a G19. I sold it and got a Springfield 1911. I also purchased the Hellcat and the Hellcat Pro. I’m totally happy with my decisions.
Glad you found what you like
I am rocking the the hellcat pro myself. So easy to edc I forget I even have it on me sometimes. The trigger I feel is a pound atleast to heavy but still shoot it well. Slightly down and left of center but training to get better for sure. New trigger soon.
I noticed I was left when I first started the Hellcat OG.
No problems to report with my Hellcat. Recoil is easy to manage with 13 or 15rd mags.
I agree recoil changes with size and weight learning how to control the pistol with appropriate grip is what is important for any brand.
I purchased a Springfield Armory XDM it shot great felt great in the hands but it would not load my favorite ammunition Hornady Critical defense. Sometimes it would have a failure to feed for that reason. I got rid of the Springfield and now my everyday carry is a Glock.
Critical is known for that due to the design
@@TacticalConsiderations they work in all my Glock pistols
Always carry a G19 but lately I'm looking for a smaller profile. I think the Pro fits that criteria I have (prefer) 4 inch upper, 15 round, 1 inch thick slide and optics ready). Thanks for the review
The glocks are pretty portly compared to some others in the market today, however the 43X is a solid set up too you just give up some capacity.
It's tough to change something we are so used to but performance is what should drive the decision.
Only trouble I've heard on any glocks come from shield mags
It's tough to change after that length of time for sure man and magwells make a huge difference
EXACTLY... you sound alot like me ... I've got a few GLOCK'S & everyone of them is GEN 4'S & regardless of what people say about the GEN 4 I've got at least a couple thousand rounds through all of mine except one of them & THANKFULLY NOT a Hiccup with any of them with Many different types of AMMO
its very rare to have issues with a glock at this point unless its ammo or user induced.
Thanks for watching. You have a lot of options these days for a good concealed package. manufacturers have really turned up the heat.
Glock 26
XL and pro are both good. It comes down to preference. I like the pro better (stippling, sights, ergo, slightly larger grip), but that's me.
Walther has really impressed me lately with the PDP
I have both and they are both reliable guns. For conceal carry, the Hellcat Pro. It's so easy to carry and I don't have a problem with printing.
Yup its a perfect size.
I appreciate the comment and info on your experience.
I’ve been shooting GLOCKs since I went to the police academy in ‘97. With the exception of a S&W 4506 and 5906 along with a Sig P220 I’ve only shot GLOCKs for the past 25 years so the grip angle that everyone talks about feels natural to me.
I grew up on polar opposites from glock , the 1911 so it always felt odd to me
MISS my 5906. Little heavy but I was accurate as can be. The one that got away
Glock 19 Gen 5 and Glock 43x MOS with the S15 Gen 3 mags. These two are the best pistols I’ve ever used. They became my EDCs.
Good stuff.
While I’m open to change I am not interested in having multiple magazines for each gun. I have several glocks and several mags so to change is not really an option.
That is understandable for sure. Magazines are not cheap to change over
Well you’ve already have several different magazines if you have several Glocks. My bedside gun a gen 5 Glock 19. But there’s no way I’d try to conceal it. The hellcat pro comes with 3 15 round magazines.

Then I found the hellcat pro…
In my opinion this is what a 19 should be..

Thanks for watching .. The PRO definitely has a great feel and all around feature set for sure with 15 rounds and a smaller profile.
365 xl and the Icarus grip is an awesome combo. Glock angles mess peope up
Agreed
Well I am glad you found what works for you. The hellcats are a solid choice .
I purchased the hell cat pro and it is my main carry now I’ve been a Glock fan boy forever but felt it was time to try something smaller to tuck and duck wow the Pro is the answer and it’s super accurate, I thought I’d never get rid of my gen 3 but this Pro is the real deal
Glad you were able to get the PRO and liked it. Its interesting to switch brands.
SO you have to switch teams and pitch the Glock ?
I have learned to work with Hell Cat Pro as my first CC gun. When I first held it loved the sights the grip and trigger then practiced to get used to it.
SHTF, I would have to go with the G19. But for day after day everyday carry, Hellcat Pro all day. This pistol is extremely fast out of the holster and to the target. Running mine with a

@@TacticalConsiderations You know it! 😀
I think if glock gave better grip texture, cleaned up the trigger a bit and maybe reduced that glock hump it would really change the game again.
Problem is no matter what Glock doesn’t do. They still get sold over and over again ! Until their sales are really affected , I don’t see them rushing to innovate.
You still didn’t say wich one of the 2 you think is better
@@Dadalorian_fitnessinnovate 🙄😂
My wife picked up a Hellcat Pro she didn't like it at first, then she looked down the sights and changed her mind. I have carried the G19 for years and the G17 before that. Recently (as in the last 5 years)my Glocks have started biting my hand every time I do any kind of expedient type of shooting. I've actually considered switching to the Hellcat Pro.
Its something worth a comparison for sure.
Hmm I'd be on the fence too if I had those ftl issues. Any specific ammo. I have run into some toubles with G2 lately on a few pistols.

Great review! Your fantastic review finalizes my new EDC decision to proceed with the Hellcat Pro. Your emphasis on grip angles was not very well explained on other reviews and since I am a 1911 guy, the Hellcat Pro will work best for me.
Subscribed and following! Thank you!
Much appreciated.
I like the pro man. its solid piece. The recoil will feel different but I'd run it any day
I love both of these guns in this video I would love to own both and I own an all black glock 43x with rubber texture talon grips I love it
Thst 43x is no slouch
Great comparison video my brother. I really like that Hellcat but ended up going with a SIG P365 Macro for edc.
Good choice
Dude Hellcat pro definitely on my list!! It feels SOOOOOO GOOD in muh hands!
It's so good! The grip texture and less aggressive angle makes it easier for me and my banged up wrists.
Glock could be vastly improved over its current design in trigger, angles and texture but it's so well proven
Great video brother!!! If my hands weren't so damn big, I'd carry my MR920(G19). This makes a good argument for the Hellcat PRO though. But I carry one of two pistols, Walther PDP 4", or XR920. Just don't like the short grip.
Yeah hand size will really dictate whats going to work right. Thst XR is a great choice
I carry a 19 daily but we just got the hellcat and the pro available here in California. Got hands on with the pro at a show last week. Definitely picking one up asap as my new daily.
They are nice carry rigs.
Thanks for another great video.
I perused the comments and saw folks choosing a variety of quality pistols for concealed carry. My choice is the P365XL with the Icarus Precision grip.
Oh man that Icarus is really nice.
I really like that Gx4.. I carried the 43x MOS for some time and its a great set up.
The g19 is a staple for many. I find the Cat Pro just the right size .
@@TacticalConsiderations I’ve been wanting to check it out. I’ve got rather large and long hands so with the palm being thinner causes me to aim down a tad bit
Love my Hellcat Pro. The trigger pull is what made the difference for me when I was shopping Glock. I was comparing to a Glock 43x
my carry has always been glock 26, but i always considered glock 19 to be my favorite gun and overall the best handgun, just based on all the research i did and i like how it fits in my hand etc. Glock 19 is good for carry but also for home defense and SHTF etc etc etc.
Performance is what matters.
Same here Boss, G26 and G19 also have a CR920 for even deeper concealment.

Brother I'm on pins and needles. Went with the 13.9 version with 4.5lb trigger. I hope the brake isn't super angry....
That is the combo. The brake is definitely noticeable but nothing unusual for brakes in general.
As things have progressed the last decade or so we have so many options for personal fit its tough to wade through it all.
Ive used a hellcat for my EDC for a couple years now. Never had a misfire or malfunction. It is snappy for sure. Thinking about trading it in on a hellcat pro. Might just keep it and get the pro too. Cant have too many.
The pro is a bit flatter.
i have the gen5 glock 19, and the first thing i did was swap the sights and trigger. i got the trijicon hdxr night sights and the glock upgraded trigger.i love my glock, however i recently purchased the hellcat pro, the desert color. It came equipped w/ a Crimson Trace 1500 red dot and out of the box its really great. i love it! no issues or misfires, and feels great all around!
Sounds like you got both of them set up and ready.
I carry a Springfield XD-9 sub compact and absolutely love it.
Glad it working for you .
I have the Hellcat OSP, Hellcat Pro OSP, and Glock 19. They work really well. I stopped carrying them and I ended up with the P365X. It's similar to the Hellcat OSP in size but with a Hellcat Pro OSP grip.
That 365x is a great set up I have the xl and its taken some getting used to with the way the trigger gaurd slopes .
There are a lot of positives to the PRO for sure.
The 365 is no joke for sure. I have one with the Icarus grip and its very nice.
Appreciate the comparisons.
Thanks for watching.

Bought a hellkitty pro straight impulse buy, hate the name but it’s a great little pistol glad I grab it .
Its a solid set up for sure. Just he right size for my hands.
To me it breaks down to grip angle. While neither poses many issues, training with each is crucial. Stick with one and run the piss out of it.
With all of that said, I CC a Shadow Systems MR920 Elite, the grip modules can be changed that puts it somewhere between an M&P and a Glock.
Exactly pick it and train with it. But also don't be closed off to new offering as performance may be in reased by small differences
@@TacticalConsiderations
With today's offerings most pistols or rifles will perform well. The differences will lie in the hands and training of each user. Heck back in the day when I joined we were issued A2's, they worked as designed although most guys now would consider them outdated...they still work as designed and do the job.
Semper Fi
That's why I'll always have my G26 g5 with me
@@franciscoarrillaga87
Yup, the perfect pistol is the one we can use proficiently, and works every time.
Thanks for watching. Glad you got everything figured out on your preferred carry.
Ther is something to be said for familiarity for sure. If your comfortable and perform that's what really matters
43/19/19x. 43 is my usual go for edc (work/gym/errands). 19 is typically my go to for extended time out and about or away from the house. 19x for the house and winter time. I prefer the 19 for the grip length but my hand fits the 19x grip perfectly.
Not a bad selection at all.
Maybe its a perfect starting point to add $500 worth of mods too lol.
I’ll stick with my 365xl thank you. Good video
Nothing wrong with that.
I personally carry a G45 for edc and am not going to change it because I believe wholeheartedly in the Glock proven track record
There is a lot to be said for glocks record.
@@TacticalConsiderations yes there is and most agencies have them so I personally feel if they are that proven and that reliable. I can trust them wholeheartedly with my life
That’s impressive!
I’m barely comfortable carrying my g48 , I couldn’t imagine edc my g45.
@@Dadalorian_fitness I carry it at the 3-3:30ish position it also has a x300UB on it. I use a NSR TACTICAL holster for it. I barely know it’s there
I have a Hellcat Pro and have had zero issues. Put about 800 rounds through it. It even feeds ammo consistently that none of my other pistols will feed. Specifically Ammo Inc. hollow points.
Glad to hear it.
I’d definitely run the Hellcat Pro over Glock 19… and I’m a Glock fanboy lol
No reason to be completely married to a brand these days
@@TacticalConsiderations absolutely but I just love the fact you can personalize Glock to exacts because of the aftermarket support, main reason why I’ve stuck to it lol I do love Cz, Sig & Springfield XDM Elite series
That Gen 3 with an SLR magwell and an Align Tactical thumb rest is magic! Completely changes the ergonomics.
Good stuff for sure.
Not selling my 19 or 43X but I’m carrying the Hellcat Pro now. 😁 love the way it feels and shoots!
All the keepers
Is the pro to snappy?
Watched this comparison before and have since bought the Hellcat Pro. I love my Glocks but seem to carry the HC Pro a lot more!! Just fits better and I get more consistent aiwb draws while training. Again… thanks for sharing!!!
Good choice!
People who say you double the price are the same ones who have 2200 dollar glocks after upgrades.
I know this is anecdotal but I went to the range yesterday to try both the hellcat pro and Glock 19 and the range didn’t have a hellcat because they had a jam which broke a piece off of the frame. This made me want to just buy the Glock for their track record?
Sounds like they had an ammunition problem not a gun problem. A jam doesn't do that, An overcharged round does.
I had my Glock for a long time and it’s a great gun but when I held the hell cat pro and shot it I said this is the one I want for my CCW. Gives me options and don’t really have to change much about it and the one I got came with 4 magazines so I’m good on ammo capacity
Glock 43x w/ shield arms mags and extensions.
Love the channel!!! Keep up the good work!
That is a solid choice for sure.
Did I really win a prize?
I’m an ex-po so Glock is what I’ve been into but for concealment reasons I have recently gravitate towards the Hellcat Pro and I am in love. Hopefully it will show to be as reliable as the Glock. I am just praying it shows up to work if, God helps it, I really need it. Good video. Thanks
I have run it quite a bit since I got it and I have no issues trusting it.
Interesting video, I never thought of comparing between the two.
Well they are both widely carried for concealed glock 19 being one of the most common I thought it might make a good video.
Great channel! I have both of these guns but I carry the pro and I love it. Better than my Sig xl with Wilson combat grip module. Points natural to me.
thanks for watching and commenting.
I have a Glock 48 mos and was looking to get ether a g19 or a hellcat pro? What would you recommend?
I prefer the size of the PRO over a G19 and the angles. But if you like glock egro's that can be a big change.
Thanks. Video was helpful just purchased two. Got the wife the new robins egg version. We’re excited to get out to the range
Awesome glad you got what you needed.
Have a Glock 27 just bought the Hellcat pro.. like them both.
Both are solid options.
Appreciate your all your videos. There educational and spot on.
Well I appreciate you watching and commenting. Making these is a great time and fulfilling when people are helped by them.
Why not get them all? I have plenty of different style pistols and love them all.
I like that idea
Great video! Thanks!
Much appreciated.
Great video and great overall review. What holster are you using btw
for which one? blackpoint for pro, tier 1 for glock.
Thanks for comparison.👍
What kind of holster is this?
Best regards.
I like tier 1
I have had my HS H11(exactly the same pistol just not branded Springfield, Im not in the USA) I have carried it daily for almost 2 years and have thousands of rounds through it. Not a single malfunction across all sorts of ammo.
Nice glad to hear it.
Been running glocks for years never will change but I do carry a sig p365xl for summer carry but other than that glock 19 is my everyday carry
Nothing wrong with that at all. If it works and you run them well then you have your winner
@@TacticalConsiderations yes sir
