We Caught The BEST CARP In The Lake On Corn!
For this latest episode we visited East Delph Lakes in Cambridgeshire, where we'd booked a 24 hour session. It was a lake we'd not fished before, but one which we knew held a good stock of carp.
To find out a exactly how we got on and if we managed to catch a few fish, then watch the latest episode from the waters edge…
As usual we hope you enjoy it and any feedback is always much appreciated.

Sweetcorn, Scaly bangers, White Lips and Dusto. What a lovely film. You guys are always welcome at my place. p.s Rory my son is well chuffed to be in the open gate bit.
Hi James, apologies for the late reply! Glad you liked the video and that Rory was happy with it! :-) Thanks again for having us and we'll see you soon for another crack! Cheers Chris.
Just binge watched all of your last five videos 😎 absolutely awesome content!

Haha, indeed mate, such a good bait! :-)

Superb stuff Steve 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌽🌽
Thanks Paul, glad you enjoyed it! :-)
Great video! 👏🏼
Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed it!
Absolute belter of a fish mate. Great vlog.
Thanks Peter, glad you enjoyed it! :-)
Wow such a magnificent fish , beautiful colours I've never seen anything like that one before. Great video again. Stay safe guys all the best from Downunder 👍.
Thanks as always Peter, glad you enjoyed it! :-)
Airbourbe noise does penetrate water. Ie voices etc..
But if you bang the ground. Sound through solid goes through the water.
Proven while diving.
Doesn't
Yes mate, banging the ground is one of the worst things you can do! Haha.
Guys this preping has done me a couple of times where I have packed everything in the car but I said I will put the bait in in the morning and I've left it at home. Just goes to show you corn is the best for carp. In my own country ( Hungary ) we use sweetcorn as ground bait ground down and as hook bait. I do like using strawberry flavoured as hook bait. works every time. I actually never use boilies and I never will. Great session guys.
love to see it!
Thanks Kieran!
Nice video guy's it was worth waiting for one of the best channels on RUclips if not the best
Thanks for the kind comments Paul and for taking the time to drop us a comment! Glad you enjoyed the video. :-)
Nice one cracking carp
Thanks Mark! :-)
That last carp was amazing keep up the good work
Thanks mate!
Absolutely gorgeous carp would love to catch it and great artist Cheers.
Thanks Alan, glad you enjoyed the video! :-)
Great video again. You handled the bait situation beautifully. Could have been a Samaritans job, but no, well done.
Thanks for the kind comments Ian, glad you enjoyed the video! :-)
Quality video as ever. I've always known about corn and use it with spod mix but I think like so many I often overlook it and go for boilies. Just goes to show you dont need to spend a fortune.
Thanks for the kind comments Lewis and for taking the time to post them! Glad you enjoyed the video. :-)
Awesome video. Great fishing but gutted ya forgot all the bait and the fact you prept it all as well. But the good old corn came to the rescue lol just goes to show you can spend a fortune on the latest and grates bait but a 70p bag of corn dose the trick. Fishing can be a funny old game. Grate stuff lads look forward to the next vid tight lines 🎣🎣🎣
Thanks as always mate, glad you enjoyed the video! :-) Hope you're well and that you've been catching a few.
@@FromTheWatersEdgeTV yea been out but not catching to much but still great to be out tho lol
That last carp was a beast well caught
Thanks Eddie! :-)
great catches well done, what lake where you on??
Thanks mate! We fished the back lake I believe, I'll check with Steve for you though!
That carp with white fins was such a beauty.
Thanks mate, it was a belter!
Nice video and very nice fish there especially that last one. Do you ever get problems with corn coming off the hook/hair after casting out? I've had that happen numerous times so I'm reluctant to fish corn on the hook unless I'm on the pole, where I'm lowering the rig in gently.
Great video keep them coming 👍
Use fake corn fished over real corn 👍🏻
@@JR-gk7nc I have been since I started Carp fishing, I often fish fake pink corn on a German rig👍
The old saying was right never move great fish Steve tight lines John
Thanks for the kind comments John, glad you enjoyed it! :-)
from italy i have never seen frozen sweetcorn ahahaaha what a strange thing lol
Haha, it's even cheaper than the tinned stuff! :-D
Proof to anyone starting fishing watercraft is the most important part of anything not fancy tackle or looking good
Indeed mate! However good your bait and rigs are, they have to be in the right place. 😊🎣
First whoop whoop 🙌
Thanks mate! :-D
Feel like buying some Korda tackle after this vid not sure why
Do u mean fox
@@justsamuelhaze I think he does LOL
Haha, nice one mate! :-)
Hi guys is it worth a go behind seashore yarmouth
I'm not sure Andy, I've not fished there for years! Give it a go though, definitely worth exploring I'd say. :-)
What kind of company are fishing rods.
They're from a company in the UK called Fox International mate!
Okay but can someone explain the benefit of fishing slack lines close to the margin like that? Thanks :)
It allows the line to follow the contours of the bottom, avoiding liners and the risk of fish coming into contact with it and spooking off.
@@FromTheWatersEdgeTV thanks a lot mate, where there’s risk; there’s reward.
Does the sweetcorn not melt your PVA bag? Anytime I've tried it collapses before I can get it out
use a load of salt on the corn first, stops the pva melting as fast.
Yeah it does Jack, Steve did mention it in the video. You can either dry it off, add some oil based liquid to it (which doesn't melt PVA) or some salt.
@@FromTheWatersEdgeTV cheers, will be giving that a whirl this weekend!
correction bread has caught more carp than any other bait
Haha, bread is another great bait, there's no denying that! :-)
What reels are they please if anyone knows
Fox FX11s dude...
They're Fox FX11's Daniel. :-)
Spot on John!
You lost weight Steve?
Looks like hes recieved a few death threats doesnt he.
