I got my first relaxer at 3. I was 29 before I found out that I had curly hair. 12 years later, I'm still in awe of my beautiful hair.
Right...my parents marvel at my curly hair...who knew??! Haha
At 3??? I got mine at 4. What the hell was wrong with our parents back then🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
My sister relaxed hers at 12 but we still never knew she had curly hair until she was bout 3yrs. I thought i had it too but nahhh
I got mine when I was 11. After I stopped letting my mom do my hair it grew from above my shoulders to waist length. I was stuck with thin, dry, stringy, straight, frizzy short hair before and I never realized how beautiful I looked with my natural hair.
Ok

As an Asian girl, I am in love with your hair! Black people's hair is beautiful and I admire how much you guys can slay the look and how much you give care into your hair! I don't think I will have the patience as you guys but I admire black people for it. They wear their natural curly hair beautifully, slaying curly and straight hair at the same time! I wouldn't want to have this because black people should have a thing for their own since white people had been taking their things since way back. (I've read about it because I am interested in the black people's history and culture.)
Edit: if I said any offensive stuff then, I'm really sorry. Please know that I love your work!
You didn't say anything offensive! And thanks I like Asians hair too its so thick and nice and shiny too!
Don't worry! You didn't say anything offensive. And actually as an African American girl I'd like to thank you!

As a white lady, who has survived cancer and chemo, yet with very little hair left, I watched your video in fascination. First, I just want to say you are such a Beautiful Lady, and you do a wonderful job on your make up. So classy and it was refreshing to see someone doing their make up so that it truly looks natural! I can tell just by the eyeliner alone how careful you are and how Precisely you do your make up. I think you’re beautiful and I loved your smile as you worked. Last, I was tired with you as You worked through all the sections of your hair to accomplish your goal. I was a little envious of how much hair you have, to be honest, and the end results were FANTASTIC😊♥️
Thanks for sharing your video with the world.
this was such a sweet comment to read, I wish you the best Vickie ❤️ and maybe you can try a nice long curly wig? Im sure you'd look sooooo good :)
I agree. I’m Caucasian and was fussing that after my hair grew back after chemo it was finer and I couldn’t wash snd go

chile what is semitic hair...... just say jewish curls or sumn. and ill have you know that the hair texture is vastly different so yes it is very “far off”. jewish people, unless they’re black jewish people, do not have afro texture hair. curl pattern =/= texture

Ppl wonder why black women wear wigs....the love for our hair is a battle of patience and preparation....

Not true, wanna be European!
@@RoeBenJudah Wow! That's not true for some of us. Having to wash, dry, flat iron, get perms(that was created to kill us) etc. The black woman is bashed from the way she walks to how she fix her hair. Can we get credit for anything.
@@latanyajackson8060 My big brother always said if a woman takes time to clean her teeth, feet, do her nails and hair she she'll take time for her....
Maybe it's time to take care of what you have and quit being lazy especially if you know you can't afford it. My opinion is not directed to those who have medical issues and have to wear wigs for those reasons.
@@RoeBenJudah I respect your outlook. But we have to be open-minded. I wear wigs due to a certain style and may not want to cut my own. People are entitled to doing things a certain way. We won't always agree but we can agree to disagree.

No magic necessary when you have the talent and you put in the HARD WORK. You can be the most talented, but it's for naught if you're not willing to put in the hard work.
We should give God the credit for whatever talent He has blessed us with, instead of giving the credit to things having to do with Satan.

Ugh it’s so refreshing to see a hair stylist who’s hair is actually healthy as well.. hairstylists with unhealthy hair makes me hesitant to Let them do Mines 😭
🤣🤣🤣 I would be hesitant too if yo hair all f***ed up
Well, actually hairstylists rarely can do their own hair. You see the other hairstylists' work on them. I mean, I know one quite good stylist (she does my husband's hair), whose haircut looks messed up.
i would never go to a person who does not take care of their own hair. if they don’t know how to take care of their own hair, i won’t pay them to take care of mine.
That part! That's like having an overweight personal trainer.
@@lightylight7590 hairstylists cutting their own hair and taking care of their own hair by washing and conditioning it, and avoiding or minimizing doing certain things to their hair etc are different things. having healthy hair is something that a stylist should have and should maintain. a bad haircut is one thing, and unhealthy hair is a completely different thing. it is more like why would you take advice from a person who doesn’t do it themselves.

I loved watching this. Your hair is fabulous! I’m like you and prefer BIG hair, but sadly my limp hair just won’t get like yours. But I can dream.
But it can its called a perm just don't moisturize it as much. Allow it to dry tease your hair and fluff
treasure man lmao bruh you wanna try to avoid a perm if you can help it, there’s other ways to curl hair for a week or two maybe with a couple refreshes. i used to curl my hair on sunday night and wear it all week and wash on next sunday and curl it again that night. i didn’t even need a refresh. by day 3+ it would be niiice and big, it would stand up where i put it

@@treasureman1198 I've had perms. They looked great in the past. But my hair today just doesn't act the same. 🤷♀️

OMG it's beautiful. I wish my hair was thick like this.my hair has been falling out and getting thin after I took chemo. I have about 3 strings now
I love watching black people do stuff to their hair. I've got 2a hair so I can't do much with mine. But black hair is so unique, beautiful and interesting. So much love, care, time, patience and sometimes products (and probably some sweat and tears) go into their hair. Some of y'all must have great upper arm strength from just doing your hair. Hope whoever reads this stays happy and healthy! Don't forget to take care of yourself and stay safe! :)
100th like. :)
Upper arm strength 😂😂😂 nothing burns like that upper arm. The amount of times you have to shake that blood flow back into your arms, take a ten minute break. Only to still have more than half your hair to do after an hour😭. The gifts of a black woman. Lol

Hi dear how are you doing which products did u use please
Loving my Lockdown length as my work was online I just wasn’t doing anything with my hair mainly wrapping it and my hair is past my shoulders gonna see if I can get more length for the new year then take the plunge
More than just products more about methods and realized that hair growth is a by product of good health and paying attention to what we put in our temples. I am 52 with long strong hair. I learned long hair comes from a healthy scalp. And my hair loves moisture. Not rocket science.
My hair is a 3a 3b or something in between. I never learned how to take care of it. My parents are both mixed and my mom was not as knowledgeable in curly hair so I always had my hair relaxed as a kid. I transitioned my hair already and as Ive been learning my hair just coils more. I had no knowledge of my curl pattern or anything and even my mom thinks I'm using rods to style my hair when its just moisture and a Denman brush. I am so thankful for you tube channels like yours. 😍

When you are going through difficult times in your life, don't isolate yourself. There are people who have been through what you might be facing right now and they overcame it. Don't push people away, surround yourself with people who are spiritually mature and get the help that you need. Isolation when you are in pain and don't know if there's a way out is dangerous and that's why we have suicide cases. Listen, there's nothing that you can be facing that God is not able to solve for with God nothing is impossible. Hold on. Jesus loves you.

This is a video about self acceptance, loving yourself, hair art and the simple beauty of life. You slick by interjecting, cares of the world, misery and thoughts of death into it. Darkness was not a topic here, you need praise so much your willing to put a damper on things. The devil always comes like an angel of light. Nobody was even thinking about depression, problems or suicide until you brought it up. Real slick with it. Beautiful people understand that peace is maintained when surrounded by joy. So let's get back to hair art and how amazing you all are in spite of the struggle. Validation comes from within not from others

If you need to straighten it, sis you got curly hair. Look into the curly girl method.
No one should wash their hair daily, if it's that oily it means it needs more oil and is overcompensating

9:53 - 10:01 her talking sounds lowkey like she rapping on that beat lmao i might be high but listen closely yall
Omggg😂😂😂😂
Soo true😂 Replayed it so many times lol

Omg lmao yes
😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 true
As you see, African hair is not just “get up and go” ✊🏽🤩😂
The same is true for any curly hair types no matter where you’re from.
Thank god my hair is not curly although curly hair is so beautiful 😭
SHO TF AINT 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No! I can’t even imagine!
You can go a lot longer without washing it though so there’s that at least. I’m just desperately trying to train mine to make it to 3 days instead of just two lol
@@lucygoosie7726 she said AFRICAN HAIR though. Stop all lives mattering our moment. Curly hair is not the same as afro hair.
I needed to see this video yesterday! my twist out came out like a party city wig😩 I almost lost faith😂 thanks for posting this video! 4zzzzzzzzzzz hair is so much work😬
Bronze Milan Girl! You did not say “Party City Wig”!!!! I’m dying right now 😂😂😂 this comment is gonna have me laughing for the rest of the day! SN: I’m glad you didn’t lose faith.
🤣🤣
That "mhm" slight laugh she did in the end was so cute. Look like Octavia Spencer and Jill Scott..
Hajaar Smith you nailed it she definitely looks like a mix of those two
I was just thinking she reminds me of Jill Scott! She's very pretty!
Yesssss Jill Scott ❤
Hajaar Smith yes!!!
Yes, she is a stunning beauty!!
As a white with pin straight hair that doesn't hold any curls for longer than two hours, I've always dreamed of big curly hair. Little did I know how much work and money it is! My respect to all the women with curls, you look amazing!
I am LOVING the all-natural afro that is hopefully coming back. Lets save our time and just let our hair grow and be.
country hix save the money too, goodness. a lot of us could’ve bought a car in cash or put a down payment on a house with all the money spent on hair
I love your videos so much and I love the positivity you spread on your channel!
I’m not even kidding after washing my hair I used a leave in conditioner and I had curls! I was so surprised because I wear my hair straight most of the time. I couldn’t believe I have cute bouncy curls lol
Its amazing right?!
Just Indifferent I’m late lol I’m so sorry, I didn’t get a notification. I used Bella curls coconut whipped creme leave in conditioner. I still swear by it. It has a good amount of slip and has my curls poppin.
You are a whole different type of Beautiful!!
I've been natural for five years and I never ever wear it out , like never!!
No twist outs,blowouts , nada!
Wigs and braids only and I gotta say that you have truly changed my entire prospective on my hair.
I understand Hair so much better also!! You've made me excited about actually enjoying it, opposed to only protecting it!! I'm no longer scared to incorporate some dang heat and take a freaking break even if it is just a week
and just enjoy my hair every now and again. And Im sure you're shaking alot of us naturals up in that way♡
Those curls 😍, I’m almost 21 and I still don’t understand my hair and I really hate doing it. I wish someday I could understand it better and make it beautiful.
You will, dont give it.
Same
Same here! Im 20 and JUST got my first bonnet 😭 and I am trying to completely stop straightening it! We got this! :)
Deja Hall well I dyed my hair back to my hair natural color and started to take care of it, my hair went through a lot and it deserves a good care 😂.
I Had To Cut My Hair To Start To Understand It.
That's what I tell people, you never know what's hiding behind a relaxer until you try. All hair is good hair. Beautiful work lady!
Pure truth. 31.1.2020
Beautiful young lady. She has mastered this hair technique which leaves her hair looking healthy, silky and just beautiful. Thanks for this tutorial.
Was not expecting that reveal!!! Yessss!!!
I usually hate hair videos, but I saw that “bullies cut my hair” video on my for you page, THATS rlly inspiring and now I follow u and I’m addicted to ur videos
Why don't you like hair videos
Cindy99765 most hair videos r very boring
lol same, i never liked hair videos, but hers are just so nice
I'm a Caucasian girl and im watching this 😂 don't ask me why I'm just so amazed lol
But I want to know why. Explain?
Teeenuh Beenuh she already said it just amazes her
Dude, I'm white with rlly short straight hair but I watch this bc it fascinates me tbh. Idk why but it's so interesting to see how many amazing things people with different hair textures can do
Teeenuh Beenuh I am Caucasian too and went to beauty school myself but we were never taught how to work with hair of different textures, especially coily hair. The older I get the curlier my hair is becoming. These videos are fascinating not only because it’s good to see what a great stylist can do, but also because they are helping me learn how to work with my curls. I have family members who are women of color, with hair that ranges from straight to Uber-coily. There are so many cool things to try to show off how beautiful any woman can be, from natural styles to silk presses, covering alopecia to replacing/repairing damaged edges. At 68 I am still learning!
Yea, tbh, some of these natural hair channels are just entertaining.
I swear you took the words right out of my mouth 🙌🏽 Since I’ve went natural my hair is so manageable. I used to rely on relaxers for that 😩
🙌🏾🙌🏾💜
I don’t know what it is about watching other people do their hair and make up that’s so interesting but I love it.
OMG So I WAS TODAY YEARS OLD when I discovered that my hair, which I've considered to be and told was straight (to be fair, it is pretty straight), which gets poofy after I shower and brush it and settles down with time is because I have a bit of a large wave pattern in it that gets messed up after washing it. They're broad waves and it's not super dramatic people with curls would probably laugh, but it explains this poofy, unkempt look that has always bothered me and I wrote off as just "thickness." I discovered this after watching you handle your hair with your hands to encourage the hair into its pattern. I was just playing with it with my fingers and saw for the FIRST TIME that my hair wanted to settle into some broad waves and not just stay kinda awkwardly poofy like the brush left it. I ran to my boyfriend and was like "Look! Am I crazy or is my hair a bit wavy?" And he was like "I thought you knew it was wavy!" 🤦♀️ It had never occurred to me to look in my hair for an natural wave until watching this channel. It just wasnt in the narrative I was told about my hair growing up. Your video encouraged me to look at my own hair with a new light and learned something about myself. Thank you!
I also have strangely poofy hair, I have to try it, haha 😂❤
. Your hair more than likely is not properly moisturized and detangle to show the true pattern, are your biracial? That tends to be a trend with that ethnic background. Nonetheless, how does your hair look now? .
@@diamondmiles2760 Thanks for asking! I am not biracial, I'm a mutt white mix as far as I'm aware lol my family has a fairly wide range of hair colors and textures tho. I've started brushing my hair less since then and a day or so after showering and some finger combing it seems to settle from thick and poofy into flatter waves, which looks nicer. A little messy still, but less messy than poofy haha. Been wanting to try some products for wavy hair to see if that helps it settle in more quickly after showering, not sure where to start tho.
I actually enjoyed reading your story. Thank you for sharing!
I know this comment is old, but your hair is probably a 2a or 2b. I hope looking into wavy hair care methods has/will help you out! also, curlies (i'm a 3b) should NOT make fun of you. we kinda laugh when wavies call their hair curly, but technically any kind of texture can be called a curl. good luck!
The queen of hair 🥰🥰 love this channel
😊😊😊🙏🏾
I love this!! Gorgeous 😍 I love how you show people that you can always get curious & creative, & figure out a NEW way to style your hair NATURALLY. Or put a new twist on an old method too. Let those gorgeous curls do their natural THANG!!
Yess thank you!
My favorite part of these videos is your beautiful smile and little groove when you are happy with the style.
I love how you used products that the average person can still go out and purchase ourselves.. you’re a hairstylist so of course you could’ve used anything, expensive. So that’s much appreciated! Thank you
Absolutely!
Seriously!! It can be disheartening when they're pulling out products well beyond their viewers price range.
Love Lee Very!!! Sometimes I don’t even enjoy the video anymore If it’s a product I know is just ridiculously too expensive
Looking good!😍 I swear you favor Jill Scott!
She's so pretty, I'm glad someone else noticed that too. 31.1.2020
I hear it all the time!
Yup! I scrolled the comments because I knew someone else had to notice!
Girl, you are sooooooo beautiful. I love that you rock your hair natural. And so confident. I wish everyone was like that and not be afraid to rock naturellll. All you see now a days is little girls and old as well, trying to keep up with all the new trends on body, skin, makeup and hair. It is so sad. I taught my twin girls that you don't have to be the" Next "to be pretty be yourself and be confident. Wear you and wear it proud. And they are 25 and they are beautiful and so are you. Keep up the good work.
I have never seen a hairdresser on ytube that I want to watch so badly. I Like all your videos. Not only is it soothing to watch but also educational.
Yet another Black, Beautiful, Bold from the Heavens: Inspiring, Intelligent, & Smart SUSTAHS out🌺🌺Todah robah from my heart for sharing this knowledge of yet another way to rock our glory, our other covering. I appreciate you. Shalom
I wish every black woman would give their natural hair a chance!!!! THIS Weave Epidemic is killing us
shut up 😂
Literally. Women dying over weaves.
Ness Paradis ain’t nobody dying over weaves. stop acting like people can’t wear protective styles......... you don’t gotta say all this just to feel better about the way you wear your hair
y’all natural girls always say shit like this. wear your hair how you wanna wear it and don’t worry bout how other people got theirs. it don’t have nothing to do with you
bumsjae fr😂😂 if you wanna wear your fro or your curls out all the time then you do that. but some of us like being able to switch it up and wear braids or straight hair/wavy.
I am just in awe how beautiful and different you look with different hair styles and how beautiful you can make your clients look.
God just really blessed you with a gift of hair. You are gorgeous. Many blessings
I HATE doing my twistouts!!!!! 😩😂😂 It never turns out like this. One side is usually frizzy and the other defined. I'm going to try this product combo and hope for the best .
sweetangiegirl1 twist the other way and use a butter or mouse to tame the frizz
@@hairounaempress Thanks!
sweetangiegirl1 When I know I’m going to do a twist out, I try to reprogram my brain to only sleep on my back. When it’s tighter on one side than the other, I know I slept mostly on that side and my body heat changed it up. 🥴
@sweetanglegirl Its All about TWIST Wrap it Tightly and do LOC
method leave in oil and curl cream and get Denham brush. Clean brush or adjust how wide curl by pulling out teeth girl lay in order when takem out.
You and me both! My hair is always smaller and flatter when I do a twist-out. I just pick out my wash-n-go n go 🤷🏻♀️
Your hair skills are on another level. What I love the most is how humble you are about it!
😊😊😊
Word!
Beautiful! Black hair is naturally so versatile!
That color looks so good on ya and love the style, I love seeing ladies going natural. I think as hairdresser we often take gambles with our own hair 😂

Thank you😊

I like my hair big also....eclipse the sun big. 🚫☀️ It turned out cute! Great job!
Thank you!
I discover that my hair is curly just a few year ago. Yes, is that weird! Because i was a man with short hair and the instructions were: You wash, and brush, period! Some day i did a diferent shampoo, just shake my hair and It dried curly as a 3A high definition. Now i have a long curly hair fron the roots to de ends. (Life is misterious)
