    Amazing Review. I just booked this place by accident. I’m unbooking. My kids will drive me nuts when they get bored. I’m going to Punta Cana. Which resort would you recommend?

    Thanks for the honest review. Can you provide a recommendation for a better option for a beach that meets your requirements (which are ours too.). Thank you!

      Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico…we have visited this resort 3 times always staying at either Lindo or Maya. There are 5 different hotels on this property; Beach & Del Mar are the entry level, Lindo and Maya are a tier up and Grand is adults. The property is mature and beautiful, beach is fun with lots of activity, food, bar and washrooms right on the beach. Water sports include free non motorized and pay for motorized. Waves most days are just right, some coral spots but mostly sand from the first step into the ocean. Have recommended this resort to friends and all have been impressed.

    Thank you very much for this information, I am planning a family vacation this June and I was looking at this resort. But with the lack of entertainment I will probably go someplace else. One question, do they have a night club on the Ziva side?

      I don’t even remember a night club at all, definitely not on the Ziva side.

      Not sure what you are looking for in terms of activities and entertainment for your family but my daughters thought this was a boring resort aside from everything else. We have had much better value and more fun at other resorts and they are begging me for a "do over" because they don't even feel like this place was a vacation. Subscribe and you can see my review of that resort when I post it.

      I recommended the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo/Maya in the Mayan Riviera to a colleague in November and his family has never been south before and they loved it and want to go back. Great value for your money and lots of fun for everyone. We would have gone back this year but wanted to give the DR a try. JaysDMC has some good videos on the Iberostar, check them out.

      D Kul love the Iberostar Paraiso Maya as well . Only reason we won’t ever return to ANY Iberostar is because of the lousy restaurant reservations system they use. The RIU resorts dropped the reservation system and it has made those resorts SO MUCH nicer.

    D Kul, what resorts would you suggest were better than this resort? Looking for a place that would be fun for a 13 and 11 yr old boys.

    • @dkul7518
      @dkul7518  3 года назад

      That was our first venture to the DR as a family. Previous vacations have taken us to the Mayan in Mexico (#Iberostar Paraiso Lindo & Maya, #Hard Rock Mayan Riviera, #Grand Palladium, #Grand Sirenis) and Cuba (veradero and Cayo Santa Maria)...all have different experiences to offer. Our family agrees #Iberostar Paraiso Lindo/Maya is guaranteed good time for all and overall great experience. I’ve recommended to friends with girls same age as mine and they loved it. Guess it all depends what your boys are into. The Iberostar has added some water slides since our last visit and we are looking forward to going back there. Rooms could use some updating, very traditional but clean and comfortable. I hear that there were some rooms that were being renovated. Probably would have booked the Iberostar already if we didn’t have to self isolate for 2 weeks upon our return.

    • @dkul7518
      @dkul7518  4 года назад

      Not sure how old your kids are but yes they have a kids club which opens at 9am located by the waterpark. My kids ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to do kids club so they wouldn't even let me get close to look! LOL! Only kids club that has ever been able to get even a little of my kids attention was the Star Camp at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, Mayan Riviera. Most family fun we've had on a vacation with the Grand Sirenis a very close second (but I don't think their kids club comes close to the Iberostar). Looking at one of the programs from the Hyatt and the program on that day was 9am welcome, 10am mini golf, 11am beach game, 12pm ping pong, 12:30 lunch, 2p spanish lesson, 3:30 pool game, 4pm sand castle, 5pm closed. Then they had movie time by the fire pits at 7pm. Search star camp on trip advisor under the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo or Maya and see what the reviews are as they could probably give you a better idea about the kids club.

    Almost ALL reviews I’ve read/listened to were rave reviews. You sound like a complainer. Maybe you were there too soon after the completion of construction.
    For people reading who don’t know, this review was from very soon after opening. You have to take MOST of his review with a grain of salt. Man-you gotten extend some grace and let the staff work out their kinks! The takeaway is for the guy making this video… don’t go to a brand new resort.

  • @briannwo1900

    Thanks for the review. Not sure what to make of it ? Your review is almost exactly the same as the one from EZE who made a review only 24 hours ago. All the reviews on TripAdvisor complain about the “towel game “ being really bad and that you can NEVER get a lounger yet your video shows the resort empty ? Strange conflicting reports about this resort !?

    • @dkul7518
      @dkul7518  4 года назад

      Towel game usually depends on capacity rate and I can honestly say I did not experience that game while I was there on the Ziva side. Maybe it happens on the Zilara (adult) side or maybe they are seeing rolled up towels on chairs in the club section as the resort was constantly putting out fresh towels for club guests.

    Every review I see of this place, there is never anyone around. It looks like a ghost town. Was it as empty as it appears in this video? Those nails on the beach are COMPLETELY unacceptable anywhere, let alone a 5 star.

    • @dkul7518
      @dkul7518  4 года назад

      I recognize your name from some common threads we were on on the facebook fan page (which i have now been removed from since posting this link). It was that empty on the Ziva side but appeared busier on the Zilara (adult) side, which was great for me as it was the first vacation in 5 years where I didn't have to run down to the pool or beach at 6am to reserve chairs...LOL! Agreed, definitely unacceptable.

    Thank you for your honest review. Your review seems to conflict most that I’ve read. Most if not all of the negative reviews are because the hotel wasn’t fully open.
    I’m booked for the week of 6/28. I can’t wait. This will be my first time to PC, DR.
    I like the fact that the Hyatt Ziva is a fairly small resort that offers just about everything that a mega resort offers.

      Adamas make sure you wear shoes on the beach and take immodium and Pepto Bismol with you because you will need it! I don’t think this review has anything to do with the resort not being fully open - it’s opened! The beach is open, the restaurants are open, the pools are open.

      Adamas sorry but your comments seem to be contradictory when you say that “most if not all the negative reviews” and then say that my review seems to conflict most that you have read when you say you have read negative reviews??? I think my review is pretty on point with those other negative reviews and it’s documented video and not just someone writing something. I hope you don’t believe everything you read on the internet and I sure hope you aren’t reading your reviews at the Facebook fan page because they actually remove any disparaging reviews and I can prove that with screen shots of discussion thread that they have removed. Regardless, I do hope you have a great vacation and hopefully my review has provided the resort with some documented feedback so they can improve the experience for all future guests. I’d be interested to know if they made any improvements even though it would never change my mind about going back there.

    • @Adamas11
      @Adamas11 4 года назад

      D Kul My apologies for the confusion. I was trying to explain that your review is way more negative than others I’ve read (to an extreme). It’s all good. We don’t need to get into a pissing match.
      Anyway, this is a new resort with growing pains that hopefully they grow out of.
