Agreed. Watching this video, part of me is like "Well, other people have reconnected with their high school bullies who've messaged them on Facebook or whatnot, so why shouldn't I just reconnect with my high school bully, since she keeps trying to get in contact with me?" Then the rational part of my brain reminds me the most important part of that equation: the users in this video who were like "Met him at the dentist's office years later and he apologized" or "he messaged me on Facebook and apologized" or "ran into each other at a football game and he felt bad" IS THAT THE BULLY FELT AD AND APOLOGIZED.
My high school bully stalks me on social media (mostly my public ones, like Instagram and Twitter) and every few years messages me out of the blue pretending like we're long-lost BFFs or something. Literally two weeks after we graduated from high school, when I had a mental breakdown because I was seated next to her at the ceremony but not enough self-assertiveness to ask the teachers to switch our seats, she called me on our landline (this was back when we still had one), and was like "Hey, how's your summer been? Isn't it crazy that we're graduates now? Haha, college is going to be great!" and, now that I think back on it, kind of gaslit me when I told her I was still upset and angry about what she'd done. To boil it down to one sentence, we were sort-of maybe friends during sophomore year, but then during junior and senior year, she started emotionally abusing me, occasionally threatening to kill me, telling me my ideas were stupid, and one time stabbed me in the forehead with a pencil, and then the kicker was a few months before graduation when we were standing outside the school together waiting for our parents to pick us up (because neither of us had bothered to get our driver's licenses lol) and she assaulted me, pulling my hair so hard it came out of my head and telling me she hated me. But on the phone, she denied ever doing any of these things, told me I was just imagining it, etc. Even when I read aloud, verbatim, from my diary the day she threatened to kill me or the day she attacked me in front of the school building, she accused me of just making it up and insisted we were still best friends. I told her never to contact me again, hung up the phone, and spent my entire college career dealing with anxiety and self-doubt brought on by this trauma. I didn't make any friends at all my first two years of college because I was convinced that if I got close to someone else like that again, they'd just hurt me like she did. I managed to break free of this mindset my third year, when I got a part-time job and my coworkers proved, beyond a doubt, that they were true friends and would never hurt me or betray me.
She messaged me on Facebook a few years ago, but I asked her never to contact me again and blocked her. So then she deleted that account, created a new one, and tried contacting me again. I blocked that account. So then she deleted that account and recently sent me a message over Instagram. At that point, I got really pissed and told her "I asked you before never to contact me again. You have continued to ignore that and stalk and harass me against my wishes. This is your last warning. If you try to contact me again, I will take legal action against you for stalking me."
Actually, come to think of it, each time she's messaged me, I've started to doubt more and more the validity of my feelings. It would be one thing if she were to apologize, and acknowledge that she was an emotional gaslighting manipulator, then I'd maybe be able to forgive her, though I doubt I'd ever be able to trust her again and we definitely could never be friends. But at least we could be at a reunion or something together and I wouldn't be terrified that she'd try to hurt me.
I don't think she's remained friends with any of our other classmates, either. She's just a very sad existence who's too proud to admit what she did and that she was in the wrong, who is mistakenly thinking that the one girl who actually did want to be her friend now hates her beyond all reason. Last I heard, she was attending one of the local universities not far from our hometown and studying something random, like philosophy or English, but didn't have much else going for her. Which is probably why she's trying to reconnect with me, but going about it the wrong way.

My junior high bully was awfully mean and made me question why I was even living, I only saw him on the bus but that meant 40 minutes before and after school. He stopped bullying me after I sang a sad song near the end of junior high in the talent show, but never spoke to me after that. One day, 2-3 years later in high school I forgot my lunch I went to ask a friend that was sitting at the same take as him if I could borrow some quarters to get some food. The jh-bully stood and insisted on buying me whatever I need. I was still scared of him at the time, but without needing to exchange words I realized as we walked to the counter that he wanted to apologize but want sure how. In that moment I couldn't help but forgive him with only a smile and a "thanks". I just looked him up when I saw the thumbnail on this video. He's a great guy now and regularly volunteers and donates to charities. So glad he changed his life around.

I outlived one bully from middle school.
After all those stupid threats he gave me as well as constantly blaming me for even the smallest things and even assaulting me from time to time, karma got him back in high school. He and a friend were members of a violent gang and both were shot by someone in another gang in front of their high school---only his friend survived, but the bully from my middle kicked the bucket by the time he was rushed to the hospital. He was only 15 while the man who shot him was in his early 20s. (Glad I don't attend that high school because gang activity is pretty high there)
I heard the guy who gunned him down is now serving between 55 to 60 years in prison for first degree murder, among other crimes like violating parole, eluding police for four years/resisting when caught, heavy drug use, child abuse, attempted murder (the bully's friend), domestic terrorism, aggravated assault (especially at a police officer), vandalism, disrupting the peace, grand theft auto, and even armed robbery. Even when in court, he told people that "he wasn't guilty" of killing him. But anyway, a guy in his early 20s who still has a whole life ahead of him is now going to spend a huge majority of his life behind bars. It would be an achievement for him if he survives his whole sentence only to later be sent to a retirement center.
    Achievement unlocked: Life waster

I was bullied generally in high school. There were two particular teachers. One was Mr du Plessis. Everyone knew he had a thing for a pretty boy called Paul Mony. Eventually he hit on Paul and Paul thumped him and everyone knew it. The other gave me a shitty nickname and was virulently homophobic. He got thrown out because one day he gave a boy a lift home and tried to sexually molest him. Yes, homophobes often turn out to be fighting gay feelings - not too well.

One of them even messaged me on Facebook and I pretended that I don't know her and deleted my account shortly after. Considering the severity of their abuse, the fact that nobody from authority wanted to help me in dealing with them (family connections, yay!), the fact that I was on therapy for depression for 3 years after I finished schooling and still I am coping with trauma, nightmares and flashback attacks, I consider their fate as good riddance.

One of my bullies (I had a lot of them, probably 50% of our about 300 students) turned out to be a good person. She's a nurse now, has a kid and another one coming, apologized to me years ago annd such. Had a rough time at first, but is now doing well. We're also on good terms, and I'm glad we are, because she's my husbands step sister.
This man seriously turned my life around. I had a bad life too, before I met him. But now we're happily married, have our own house, dogs and a child, and I couldn't be happier.
Most of my bullies went nowhere in their life, some of them have apologized, and some are doing pretty well. Teenagers are stupid, do stupid stuff in groups, but thankfully most of them grow up and realize they were dumb, and turn their lives around. Most of them bully, because they have their own problems (maybe at home, maybe just with themself etc.), or just because they 'want to look cool infront of their friends'. Thank god most of my old bullies are a lot nicer these days, tho I can't say that about all of them, but I wish all of them luck in life!

One had a mental breakdown at her first years of uni due to "stress", abandoned uni and went back to leach of her parents...I guess not being able to channel stress into mocking/hitting others while at a small class in a small town where everyone knows each other is bad for your health.
The last time I saw the other (who wasn't only the entire class's bully but the younger children's bully too) she has gained a lot of weight. Me and my hs bf joke about karma morphing her into an unatractive beach ball shaped person as a punish for her actions.

Well, I moved schools back in November 2018, there were people from my primary school there. First class, one of my primary school bullies comes up to me and apologises, which I appreciated and accepted. He did not keep up that apology, he went back to doing so, along with some old and new ones. Can't wait for secondary school to be over, remind me in 10 years or so to come back to this and tell you where they are.

A girl in my elementary school bullied me for no apparent reason. Any time she was asked why she did, she always said "I don't know." She switched schools during 4th grade. We ran into each other in high school years later where she said she was sorry for bullying me and said that she did it because she had a crush on me. I said that I forgave her and asked is she wanted to hang out after school. Since then, we've been together for the last 25 years, bought a house in 2004, got married in 2006 and had a daughter in 2008. A lot of the stuff she is into (generation 1 Monster High, Helluva Boss, Skylanders even though there hasn't been a game since 2016, etc) have become huge guilty pleasures of hers and mine. I love both of them to pieces.
P.S. People who bully your crush in hopes that they'll fall for you, *STOP.* It might work in movies, but it sure as hell well won't work in real life.

I'm not the victim but I was the bully but theres my story
I used to bully this girl in fourth grade and I felt like shit now remembering what the hell I did to her. She was a very sweet girl, shy, and smart. I remember her being new to the school and so me and my gang targeted her for the bullying.
She was also very sickly so she was always wearing masks and brought a towel to school almost everyday so gossip got around that she left boogers every where (they werent true at all, she was too polite to ever do that).
She never heard about the rumors about her and I heard that her best friend told about it in sixth grade and she was fine with it since it's been so long. Skip to fifth grade and she was the same, just a little more mature.
I did notice she was a little mature for her age and I think she got that from all the bullying. She was still bullied in fifth grade but we werent classmates anymore then meaning it was a different girl bullying her.
I should mention the girl I used to bully was an amazing artist but the people bullying her in fifth grade shamed her for it. Skip to sixth grade I didnt recognize her. Not physically but mentally.
She turned mean, toxic, and she also almost turned into a bully herself. I felt awful both for myself and for her. I learned she had a pretty shitty home life too so those were one of the reasons for her change.
Seventh grade came after we graduated sixth and I dont know how shes doing right now but i do hope shes doing ok.

Had an elementary school bully, we were best friends at the time (or so i thought). She would hurt me in different ways (physically, emotionally). At the time, I didn't understand why she would change from being someone I liked to be around to someone I would feel terrified by literally seeing. I understand now why she did what she did, as she told me herself years later that she was envious and couldn't control her jealousy and anger. Anyways, after 2 years of tormenting she moved schools. She really traumatized me back then, I was genuinely afraid of her because she was intimidating, very athletic and tough, knew how to manipulate, cheat off my answers-basically let her use me, etc. Everyone knew to not mess with her (one time she used a whiteboard cleaner and sprayed it in some kids eye). But I am glad to say she is a new person now! We currently go to the same high school and she changed drastically. She even apologized to me and we are totally fine with each other now. She's doing well for herself as she made the silver honour roll, honestly happy for her and wish her all the best in life.

In kindergarten, I got bullied by this one boy for not speaking English. My mom was hired by the school system from the Philippines because they needed teachers. The next year, this same boy had a crush on my best friend (this was 1st grade) and asked her out! A 7 year old! Obviously she rejected him. A year after that, he had a crush on me this time and he asked me to be best friends with him. I bet you know what I said, I said no. Duh.

I didn't have any bullies in high school since I left my original district in 7th grade to escape the bullies. I have Asperger's Syndrome and was the punching bag of the school. I've only really gotten confirmation of two of the people that bullied me back in the day. There was one, we'll call him P, whose mother I met at our family store once back in 2017. I recognized her the moment I saw her, and asked about P, and she had a restraining order on him. P was an alcoholic, and about a month before, they got in an argument with her about his problem, and when she tried to take the open can he had, he gave her a black eye.
There was another one of them I had issues with for a while, but we sort of made up with before I left, we'll call him C. C and I reunited last year at a mutual friend's graduation party. There was no ill will, and he was quite happy to see me, and even invited me to go hunting with him on his family's land. We did exactly that, and told me that his childhood was rougher than I'd imagined. His parents were separated, and he lived with his dad, who he constantly got in fights with that would often get physical. One day, his dad just left, and he had no choice but to walk a whole town away to his mom's house with his most valuable possessions (including several hunting firearms slung over his back). After he graduated, he moved out to Colorado for a few years, but recently moved back to spend time with ill family members. At the end of the first morning hunt, he dropped a big bombshell on me; P, who was a friend of his, had hanged himself just a few weeks before and left behind a girlfriend and kids. I wish I could feel sorry for him, but after everything he did to me and how little he seemed to change, I just couldn't. Still, C's turned his life around and become a respectable guy. I almost got my first deer with him (a nine point at that), and I may very well hunt with him again.

Died of a drug overdose 3 years after graduation.
Felt absolutely horrible when I found out, since I'd fantasised about him dying in all sorts of horribly creative ways since we left school.
At the end of the day, he was still a human being and, as horrible as he was to me, there were still plenty of people he'd left behind who truly loved him and had their lives touched by him in a very positive way. And that was something I couldn't dismiss just because I wasn't one of those people.
Plus, it didn't fix any of the problems I was currently dealing with in my life at the time.
All in all, from that day on, I learned an important lesson about holding grudges; you can wish all the hateful shit that you want on someone but, if it ever actually happened, it will never undo whatever pain or humiliation they've put you through.

Mine cyber bully: she was just using 70 alternative accounts to stalk me and talk shit about me. But i just keep my cool and blocked her without saying anything. She really was focussed on me that's she failed middle school. And her parents abandoned her when she's 18 and a failure. That's what i heard from a former friend of her. But it turns out that she was a psychopath the whole time and tried to have romance with me. I would say no. I probably rejected her but i forget i did. But at last i never see that girl no more. And i am now in collage going for succes.
And that's why bullying and stalking others isn't needed in lifen if you think have a mental problems. Try to get help to make sure. I don't feel bad for the person do.

There all kinds of bullys. In high school we didn't have a classic bully, but after high school everyone had bully story. In college, After college, I got one of those dead end jobs, and had to ride the bus from my apartment. The bus was on the way to a city College, and many of the students rode the bus. I would ride, and the student would ask me, "Why are you riding the bus? Why doesn't your Daddy just buy you a car white boy." Yeah, I was white, and the only white person on the bus. It sure beat walking through the black neighborhoods, where they asked you, "White boy? Why are you walking through our neighborhood?" Eitherway, in most case, thing were fine. I noticed, most of the students were gay males. The ride was a long one, so I would talk to everyone. Most of the people were okay. I was often told, I was not only the only white person on the bus, but the only straight young male on the bus. This wasn't exactly the truth, but almost it was almost true. I asked, why that was so, since it was pointed out to me. Most the gay guys had to think about it, but said, "Life isn't like on TV. When you're black, and gay, every hates you." When your parents find out, they hate you, or throw you out. The schools are black school, and the teacher all have a silent contempt for you. Teacher would say nasty things to you, even when you were very young. The other student were the worst. You had to be smart, or it was a fight every day. The teacher would just stand by and say, "You got to learn to be a man." while someone five year's older than you, beat you senseless. I was told, being black and gay, makes everyone a bully when your a child. Still, you knew there was no place for you, so you had to try harder, to make a place for yourself. That's why they went to the city college, because an education was their only out. Not every black male was gay. There was this one time, a guy was riding the bus for a while. He was going to the city school, but he wanted to be a comedian. He would say jokes about all the gay student riding the bus. None of the jokes were very funny. This guy would walk up, and down the bus, threaten the gay students. Most of the people riding the bus had jobs, or things to do. Everyone hated this guy, and said so, but not to his face. He was big. One day, the bus was packed, and and there was standing room only. The big, guy was telling his jokes, when the bus stopped, and most of the people on the bus got up, and left at the same time. They just swept the big guy off the bus. One older woman said, "Oh boy you're gon'na get it, you're gon'na get it now." Off the bus, I could see the the mass of gay guys surrounding, and clubing someone with pipes, and baseball bats. As we drove away, the older woman kept say, "He's gett'en it, gett'en good." I assumed they killed him. Six months latter, I saw the same big guy get on the bus. He was a bit crippled up, and his face was mashed. He stared at the floor, the whole bus ride, and never talked. So that's what happened to that bully.

There are two scenarios that usually cause bullying 1. The child comes from a broken home and is abused or neglected meaning they will probably end up in prison as there trauma manifests itself in a violent or abusive way or 2. The child is genuinely sadistic and or spoiled rotten meaning they don’t think of the consequences because they either don’t care or think mommy and daddy will bail them out meaning they will do something stupid and die because of it

My favorite school bully story. This kid was a idiot genius...knew how to mentally torture or physically attack other students but figured out how not to get caught or do the “who me?” routine. He began picking on a new girl. She had a cousin at the school. She was smaller than the bully but had been training in the martial arts for a number of years. Next time he picked on the girl her cousin was there & she verbally pushed back. People started to laugh at him. Turning red he tried to shove the cousin who easily dodged him. He tried to push the cousin several times. Each miss caused more laughter. Livid he tried to bum rush the female cousin...again the cousin was able to outmaneuver him. Overbalanced he fell & hurt the palms of his hands as he landed on gravel. Bewildered he started crying in pain & the crowd laughed even louder.
Bully’s parents came to school but many students talked to the principal of him bullying the two girls and how the cousin had never touched him. Unveiled the bully found the tide had turned against him as many other students were fed up with his behavior. They banded together & refused to let him be mean to anyone. The bully was deflated and he transferred to a different school the following year...

Mine works in a hotel kitchen, washing dishes and cleaning up after the catering staff. She started working there when she left school at 16, and she’s still there, 32 years later. She never married or had kids, I don’t think she ever had a boyfriend for longer than a month or two, and she rents a tiny basement flat that’s flooded three times in the last ten years. I went to university, have a career that put me in the top 5% of earners, my husband and I have been married for over 25 years, we have 3 kids and a grandson, and we own a quirky period home with fantastic views. I always nod a hello when I see her, and she just glares at me. She clearly still hates me, but at least now there’s some justification for it.

If I can turn back time I am going to stand up for myself (tbh not really still learning about confidence)

The bully who led the charge for his friends to treat me the same (I'll refer to him as Rupert) was an outspoken racist who would treat me as a lesser being just for having slightly darker skin than him, as well as for being gay (I'm not, but my friend was gay, but I didn't notice as I'm autistic and he didn't come out until after graduation) ended up leaving the school in disgrace a few months before the final exams.
Rupert had to repeat his final year.
I found out about 15 years later that somehow this grotesque excuse for a human being had not only gotten married but was also a father to at least two unfortunate children who have to live with him. I know some people are capable of changing and becoming decent people, but I guess Rupert lacks this ability.
Looking at his FB page, he's still a raging racist.
Recently Rupert's wife left him. I hope she's got full custody of the kids; they're all better off without him.

Unfortunately, shes training to work as a teacher for children with learning disabilities and other special needs. Ironic considering that she spent all our school years calling me a ‘retard’, making fun of me for being autistic, giving me death threats, throwing rocks at me while i was walking home and telling me to kill myself.

I had to deal with a gang of bullies in middle school. Later, after graduation and while I was in the US Air Force, I learned that one of the ring leaders had hanged himself in jail.
    Karma is a bitch.

My hs bully is a single mom had 2 kids with different fathers. She became a mom at 14 and now is alone. No one sustaining two of her kids one kid is a new born. I wanna feel bad for her but she made my hs life hell and made the principal and everyone hated me. She bullied me for being single and poor. My life now is more better than her also I fixed myself. Honestly I'm glad Im not friends with her anymore. She's toxic af. Very narcissistic indeed.

I was a sophomore in high school and I stop at a gas station in my old neighborhood on my way to school and I saw my bully from grammar school and he didn’t recognize me. I walked up and he opened the door for me and said here you go sir, I said thank you then he asked for money. Found out that he dropped out of high school and he was just hanging outside of the gas station asking for money with his other friends.

i was never bullied, but there were a few douchebags in my grade that i didn’t particularly like and got on my nerves. one such person said some racist+homophobic stuff on an instagram post. people took screenshots before it was deleted, sent it to his college coach, and he supposedly lost his scholarship, but it’s unconfirmed
