  • Hi and welcome back to my channel 🥰
Second part of my style & closet upgrade: finding my body type ! And in particular the Kibbe one, as it is one of the most widely used system. I contacted again the two lovely stylists I had worked with in the previous video, and we had great sessions figuring out what suits my body type best !

So interesting Delphine! I made the Kibbe analysis by myself - and agree totally that this is difficult especially with the face features - and found out I am a soft Natural. This makes sense due that I am the typical Jeans with Blazer - combination - Lady and love fabric with texture: Tweed, Leather, Knits. All the years I tried to wear classic items head to toe at formal work events or Munich going out events etc. but felt costumized and since I made the analysis I know why :-) Regarding Linen you can try currently at Mango their great 100 percent vests and blazers. Have a great week!

It's crazy how helpful these analysis are ! Suddenly you get why this or that always felt weird/good 😅
Linen is sadly not the best fabric for me, or it would need to be made in a way that it's very soft & fluid 😊

I could have sworn you were a Romantic. (Rounded features, slightly sloping shoulders, not much angularity). While I thought after your color analysis video, that the result makes totally sense, I'm not yet entirely convinced here after the first watch. Even the recommendations (f.ex. flowing fabrics, not too thick turtleneck are more for Romantics than Gamines). Still, I recognize that I'm not a trained bodyshape analyst and that the woman who did the analysis has surely more expertise than me. I'm glad you were able to find out more about your style as a result, that's all that matters. I'm a soft natural by the way - I figured it out myself. 😉. Interesting video!, thanks 👍

I also thought I was probably a romantic !! Yet a lot of the gamine features make sense, and for example with the fluid fabrics even if the fabrics are similar to a romantic body type I should go towards different cuts. So fluid fabric, but more "straight" cuts, like no ruffles, A-shape skirts, and so on - these would be for romantics. This being said, I still love a lot of the romantic pieces, and will keep wearing them because I feel good in them, and that's what matters the most at the end ! I might just style them differently, and look at bringing more "gamine" pieces in my wardrobe 😊
It's so much fun learning about all this 🥰😍😍

I called it!! I am gamine as well. I find that I look best in higher necklines, more fitting and less oversized outfits, knee length skirts, and color blocking. The stylist is correct that you should avoid big prints, but my advice is also to avoid too flowy garments as gamines need more structure in their garments. My favorite gamine celebrities are Audrey Hepburn, Audrey Tatou, and Reese Witherspoon. Look at photos of them and what they look best in for inspiration. Mariana Zelenjuk is another RUclipsr that I believe is gamine and has great style.

      Yeeeeah 🥳
Same here, although I have to be careful with color blocking because my color season is dark autumn 😅
Yes, fluidity but not too flowy, apparently flowy is more for romantic types ? I am super biased there, because as I said in the video I actually like a lot of romantic dressing features 😅 I will keep some of it, but will try to be more careful in the future too 😊
Thank you for the inspiration recommendations ❤️❤️

@@delphinthecity same- so put darker colors on top (dark browns, teal, greens, corals, rust, aubergine) and lighter colors on bottom (tans, beige bottoms) or cream/ecru or teal on top and darker colors on bottom. Also, search for clothes that are cropped- the best hack for petites and gamines! Typically they have the best proportions!

Oh gosh! Indeed Gamine makes so much sense for you Delphine even though I was also originally thinking about Romantique for you. So, very interesting outcome 😊 which confirms it's best to call an expert

I'm not really an expert, but from the session I had with the professionals I can say that your body type goes beyond just these measurements 😊 They looked at the size of your head, the ration with the bust and the legs, the overall bone and flesh structure, facial features, and so on... So I cannot really answer based on just these elements 😊
There are some online tests you can do, that will guide you through the steps, or if you have the option the best is to find a professional and have an in-person session ❤️
      All the best !
