Well, that's how versioning works. 1.0 can come after 0.9 just as well as after 0.2 or 0.6234. The point is not a decimal point, it is simply a way to increase the minor version of something.
At the same time I'd say that the game is about at 'released' as Minecraft is (in that it's already functional, just regularly added to) and that 1.0 would be their way of saying they're finally happy with it and ready to start something new. Hell, the game approaching a decade already.
Love what beam NG is becoming. Love the new trailers, love the added configurations. Still hope to see a crane or something similar. Can't wait to see what they do with it in the next 5 years.
If beamng released some DLC tommorow I would not even care, instant purchase almost regardless of content because i simply want to support this model of development.

Beamng devs have confirmed that they are working on tire thermals. An early version of them was supposed to be released in 2023, but it proved to be harder than anticipated to implement.
I´ve thought about it recently quite a bit as well, and the more I think about it the more I realize BeamNG is the only game where I´m not obsessed with EA/full release. I´m just excited to experience every update, try out new things but overall, BeamNG is the sandbox game, with players creativity being the limit. which IMO is a huge factor that drives BeamNG forward.

Tyre wear and thermals I am very hopeful for, because it would make total sense in a game based on simulating car physics and it would boost the game to be next level IMO And tbh I don't want multiplayer, or rather I don't want it to be something they think about any time soon, it would be cool as hell but we already have a mod (which will continue to be improved afaik) and it would take away from resources put towards the game itself

The Miramar skin featured in the video, was released in the latest update. It didn’t work, and was removed in the first hotfix - I guess it wasn’t meant to be released.
My computer is pretty old and doesn't have a graphics card, but it runs beamng just fine with vulkan turned on. I've only crashed it out once, and that was because I switched between four different cars in as many minutes.
the game has a good amount of car content. the only thing i am missing are: career mode, improved tire model, improved force feedback (cant play the game without demolishing my desk...) and better UI (maybe something that doesnt lag all the time)

This is a common misunderstanding, so think of it this way: the devs could take a year to release 0.34 in 2025 and have it come with career mode beta, then 3 months later declare the game "1.0". If they decided to call the next update "0.0.9", that wouldn't mean the game would be only 9% complete.
I have more of a feeling that BeamNG will go down the factorio route keep working on it, adding features, fixing bugs, reworking old/outdated systems/mechanics and improving modding support. and after doing this for how long they feel is necessary, one day call it complete and finished, but... not working on their baby they spend so long working would hurt them so feel like they would keep working on it but with less of a mindset of what to focus on to call it complete and more work on it what they feel would be a cool extra that's just my opinion
I hope they will add in a dynamic weather system, where, for example, you can customize the weather by hour, kinda like in Assetto corsa. And add in an option to make it match to the real life weather of said map (for example Italy, well Italian weather). And also add a realistic time, so one in game hour = one real hour, also adding the option to synchronize it with the real life time of the country the map is based in.

After seeing that a mod was able to pull it off somewhat successfully, I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with, at a minimum, multiplayer when using a LAN connection.
i was playing BeamNG back in 2015 on my old ass laptop with 3th-gen core I5 4Gb of ram and integrated GPU playing it with 60 fps on normal settings, now after 3000h playing it on I5 12th-gen 32Gb of ram and RX 5700 XT getting 100fps on normal-high settings is crazy, still its awesome game and i hope that BeamNG dev team will not end with the game.
