@@fanasonyc most problems with air conditioner are installation issues, incorrect size, incorrectly installed and the end user blames the manufacturer. When more often than not it’s the people who installed it that have caused the problems.

Anyone know what voltage I should be getting at the controller? It's labeled as 12v on the back of the controller, but I'm getting 24v. Having problems with all the controllers I've tried and wondering if voltage is the reason. ODU: LG Multi V S. IDU: ARNU363NJA4.

I cannot get the fan to turn off when the cooling isn't happening - I changed the "continuous fan setting" to clear, but it still blows air 24/7 - help?

Setting 35-01 will set the fan to cycle with the t-stat, only running when cooling, not possible to be set on 3hp units.

I am having issues with the overheating. The heating always shuts off 2 degrees past the setpoint. It starts with 1 degree below the setpoint. I have overhearing at step3.
    Any insight?

    • @FullyAirconditioned

With the LG units they have a different heating / cooling control strategy on the t-stat compared to most other brands. Most other brand have the set-point as the off point (stops heating or cooling) and the on point is in heating is about 1-2k below this. In cooling the on point is 1-2k above the set point.
LG’s spin on this is different, the set point is the on point (starts heating or cooling) the off point is 1-2k above for heating or below for cooling. If you set the over heating, over cooling to steps 3 it reduces the proportional band to its lowest amount, should be 1-2k. Also if you set the mode to auto it will act differently again and give a slight different control strategy. Make sure it’s set to sensor active from the wall controller (remo) and not the (indoor) or (2-th). Make sure wall controller is in a good location for measuring the room temp or at least the return air path to give the best average temp.

Possibly connected to a VRF system and your controller is not the master. What Thor of system is it.

Which one do you prefer this or the premt premium touch screen?
Fyi - over heat and overcool step 0 is 0.5c deadband control on ducted units. (Over in UK anyway) so tighter control than 1c on step 3.

      Hi Jasmine,
Sorry I don’t know, haven’t seen that on a controller before, what type of unit is it (ducted, split, VRF, multi split) if its a VRF and you in an apartment or office building it maybe under centralised control. Do you know who put it in, is there a local LG repairer in the area. Have you tried the trusty reset, turn the power off at the switch board for the air conditioning system for 5 minutes and restart.
      Kind Regards
      Craig hewitt

    Hello,
In the lab, we have two LG air conditioners, one of which is smart and the other is not. We are wondering if we could use the LG PREMTB100 Wired Remote Control to connect both air conditioners to it (smart wirelessly and the other one through a wire, for example) and at the same time be able to adjust the air parameters on both air conditioners?
If not that, is there any device that would solve that problem? The most important thing for us is the reading of air humidity and temperature.
    Thanks in advance.

One controller can run two units and but it will set each to the same set point and fan speed, you could just install two controllers, one on each system ??
