    Hi Tim, great coverage of your ride. I have been picking off rides in Scotland and was planning on this one next, but just seen that the ferry from Ardrossen to Campbelltown stops at the end of September. Could you say what month you did this ride please?. Thanks and good luck on the next one, Mike.

      Hi Michael. Glad you enjoyed it. The ride is amazing .. very remote and unspoiled. We did it in September when the ferry was running … but on the day it was cancelled and we had to get a ferry to Arran and ride across Arron. Then ferry from other side of Arran to kintyre. Does leave a 25 mile ride to Campbeltown, which was why we arrived in the dark. All a good adventure!

      @@TimKyn Thanks Tim for your prompt reply. I think I will leave it until next April. I did the 78 this April and was very lucky with the weather and the midge were still asleep !. Again, many thanks. Mike
