This channel is amazing. Real life experiences and solution from an actual owner ! I just got mine today. After assembling and test driving it for about 12Km I love it already but at the same time I notice that my lights and horn button don't seem to do anything. Front light gives the outer big led circle upon battery power on and rear light does nothing. No buttons or functions change that all except for the rear light only lighting up whenever I break (=break light) but as soon as I let go it's off again. As such I have no idea how to make the lights work in the dark (yet) :)
Hi Andy, apologies for not getting back sooner. How did you get on with the horn and lights as it sounds like you’ve got ‘dodgy’ switches on your handle bars. Mine failed a few weeks ago and I had to get a replacement. Do you resolve this in the interim?
@@RayHenry100@RayHenry100 yeah it was resolved shortly after contacting support. Apparently internally 1 of the front handle wires that are wrapped up in a curled plastic had arrived in a disconnected state. After connectkng that all worked fine

Hi I’m biased and would go for the higher spec’d Z8 over the J1 eg 500/750 watt hub for the extra torque and speed and battery 15/20Ah size. I’d get it for the battery alone as I suffer ‘incurable range anxiety’ and you never can have too much range😀 i
i’ve had this bike 8 months or so. Just hit a bump and stopped receiving power. I got an error code E-001 on my little screen. Ever happen to you? Or do you have any knowledge on this?
You have the same display as me when I put display on light comes on then switch for headlight is there a way when turn display on the light stops of then work light from switch
After you change the settings hold power button till it goes to normal screen, then hold to power off the bike. Wait 5-10 seconds turn bike back on. Check settings to see if it saved.
@@codwawWolfMan everything is saved it just goes up to 40km/h even though the speed is set to 60km/h (I changed it from 100 to 60) I double checked aswell it still said 60 but it just went up to 40 km/h
fyi: The reason it doesn't work is because this speed limit option in the P3 sub-menu is designed to only affect Pedal Assisted Speed, not throttle-driven speed. There is no way to increase or restrict throttle-driven speed. The best thing you could do is up the max current setting (P6 sub-menu) to maximum but even that won't make much of a difference.
I accidentally went into password mode does anyone know how to get out of it? I think I might have set one by accident if so how do I guess a password like what specific buttons to enter it
P 3 on mine 750wat goes to 100 fir some reason bike is slower I've got same bike I put thumb throttle on motor is very noisy bought from amazon I've heighten bars made seat higher 4in still can't peddle I'm 5ft 7ins these bikes are made for teenagers 5ft 2ins they can peddle. Buy the way 750wat is kega on road as long you peddle so that makes it a ward for me sitting yes throttle that's when you can picked up police arnt really bothers they have more important things to do
@@jasonmurray1812 That don’t make the bike faster? I changed my tiers to black cats and changed the wheel size from 20 to 23 to get a more accurate reading. It’s roughly 0.2 - 0.3 out from a GPS reading.
Hey mate sry only getting back to yea now.after watchen ur video I managed to get it up from 22 mp to 25 miles ph 😂 I'm doing something wrong but hey it's Abit faster lol😂
Your not doing anything wrong. To be fair I only weigh 7ish stone so I go a bit faster. 25mph is fast enough plus your battery don’t go flat as quick. 👍
@@codwawWolfMan I lift the back of the bike and pull throttle back so there's no weight on it and it hits 25 ......I like the red spokes on urs did u do that urself
@@dublife9913 every thing that’s red I put on, put shorter handlebar’s on it., got 2 bottle cages on, a barrel bag, and a little bag on the battery cover,and a digital mirror. All I need is road tiers and it done.

Red to green. The lights on the battery indicate how much power is in it.

Sorry to hear that. It’s never happened to me. I’ll see what I can find out.
Error code E-001 is motor failure so that means something happened to your motor

I’m not sure. My daylight lights comes on when I turn the bike on. Then a switch to turn on/off full beam.

Apologies for not getting back sooner. Not sure what you mean? To make it ‘throttle only’ for example set it to PAS level 2. Hope this helps

That’s the password you put in before you can start the bike. You can put any 4 digit number in .
It does not work for me, when it came it was set to 100km/h but it did not change anything.

Did you change the code at any time? If you haven’t then it should be 0000. Go to P8 and select N and then hold power.
