Silhouette racers of the late 80s and 90s were incredibly iconic. Especially the BTC/DTM ones. After the loss of Group B they were the bastions of the incredible raw racing, I think. Brilliant as always, dude.
Really good build. Old racing cars are great. Maybe you should do "what if" group B race car.... just pick any late 70's - early 80's non-rally car brand and turn it group B monster with period-correct livery.
Thank you very much..... We're definately thing along the same themes as I was planning new cars with there old counterparts liveries. Now though, I prefer your thought. Thanks for the inspiration😁👍🏎🚙🚕🚓🚗
Hi, absolutely fantastic work on this Alfa. I remember the times of the german DTM / ITC. Matchbox also produced the DTM Mercedes in yellow but never did the third car, the Opel Calibra. I never found it at toy shops. I got all the DTM race cars in 1/18 scale. But at no one you could see the engine. Only doors can be opened. So your model is way more detailed than my big ones. For your outstanding work I give you ten stars !⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Greetings and best wishes!
beautifull as Always, thats going to be a really nice collection, guess i just should have sprayed it red, sticking to my skills and how i remember them. great job
Another stunningly beautiful result. My family never owned any Italian cars, especially Alfas. I remember my late father being particularly unimpressed with how er, soluble they used to be. My brother kept up that tradition. He works on them, and has told me that they are not fun to do even basic tasks on. Lovely job, there, though. I hope that you and yours are well, and keeping safe. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks as always for watching and commetning Brian..... Its a brand that has eluded me over the years. I came close twice to having one but left it after advice from others. I still think they can't be 'that bad' but all that have owned them tell the same story, your brother has just affirmed that now LOL! They look good though 😁👍🏎🚙🚕🚓🚗
The thing that impresses me the most is when you took all the bodywork off at the end. Would look best displayed in a tiny clear model box, like that with the body off. Goes to show the amount of detail you've worked on. Brilliant.
The english dictionary doesn't have enough adjectives anymore to describe this beautiful custom job. This is by far your best work. Thank you for listening to my suggestions. Next suggestion, a Ferrari F40 LM.

G’day from Down Under. Now that I’m into my retirement, I’ve become very interested in having a crack at customising these little cars. Having seen quite a few videos of other’s efforts, I really enjoy your personal techniques and especially your presentation. While I am unfortunately not able to seek advice from you personally, I will have to be content with following your enjoyably informative videos. Keep up the great work....Thanks...Bob
Thank you so much for watching Bob I really appreciate it. I'll always try and help so if theres anything I can help with please just ask or drop me a message at sk75works@gmail.com and I'll answer as quick as I can 👍🏻
That "bent up" piece on the dash/interior moulding is called a "live hinge". It's an old moulding trick to allow tricky undercuts and otherwise impossible overhangs on parts like this that cannot be moulded as intended. A live hinge saves tooling and assembly costs hugely and often found on things like shampoo bottle tops and lunch boxes. Also "Tampo" is referring to the stamped graphics. A UV cure ink (normally) is added to a soft rubber pad from a template and pressed onto the vehicle then cured. Again very cheap and very effective. Tampo is the firm that makes the machines. Just thought you'd like to know from a engineering designer that's dealt with both most of my 25 odd year career.
Thank you very much for that I appreciate it. I knew it would be to aid manufacture in the moulding process but didn't know the name 'live hinge' so thank you. I always thought the term 'Tampo' was US for waterslide decals, as again, it's only in the US I've heard this term so again thank you for sharing the info, to me at least, on how this is done. All teh best 🏎🚙🚕🚓🚗😁👍
I was just watching a documentary on lancia, sad how the went down hill so quickly. If you ever do a complete custom maybe do a modern martini delta s4. Another one with the engine, you are killing it at the moment, keep up the work, and stay safe.
Thank you very much as always.... Its a shame with the Lancias they were right at the top of their game in Motorsport and virtually disappeared over night. Sad. Appreciate the comment as always😁👍🏎🚙🚕🚓🚗
My Fav Alfa of all time, first time I fell in love with it wasn't watching it in DTM though, my Local Cinema had a Sega Touring Car Championship twin Cabnet and it came screaming onto the Screen in full Martini Livery and I was hooked.
Amazing as always! As with the classic Alitalia livery, I unconsciously associate the Martini dress with the original '80s Transformers, because they were based on a Japanese toy line that used real racing liveries. I can't remember for sure, 35 years later, but I think Hasbro might have omitted the brand names from the decals when they re-issued the toys in the US as the first-generation Autobots--but the color schemes are unmistakable. :)
Amazing stuff it really made me think of the Alfa Romeo 164 Procar hopefully maybe you'll do one of those one day if a casting of a 164 even exists, Showed my girlfriend this and she was blown away, I told her the guy was a wizard.

Its only really this 1mm and 1.5mm rod, the thicker stuff you can watch it start to go and catch it in time theres no real science to it other than be quick LOL!
great work! ^^ the engine bay looks very convincing, and yes, one gotta stop somewhere. as a kid I did all the handles inside a 1:160 scale omnibus, and painted the seats, and you just can't see it... XD your struggle with the wheels makes it look like Matchbox botched up with the scale of the model, so it's a tiny bit too big for the wheels. SIKU sometimes did the same, especially when they switched to their "superfast" wheels, and cut out wheel wells to allow for the big wide wheels. aw, those poor castings...
Many thanks Lothar...... As long as you know it's there thats what I keep telling myself LOL...... sometimes I do wonder 'what am I doing, you can't see this!'🏎🚙🚕🚓🚗😁👍
