LoL and WoW were the glory days of the online gaming "community". Today's LoL has lost the fun mindset of the old, WoW and OW are dead, developers control the signal... I don't know where to go, but I hope the answer isn't "Fortnite".

Well you are started to play so it should be interesting to you since its new. But back than the scene was much smaller and lol felt more special, meta and game felt better. Type in Talon and Swain spotlight. The game back than had some magic to it. Thats just my opinon

Back then you could give your ally or yourself mana with e. I still remember a few games where it really did take w, heal, and ult to get my whole team out of some fights alove. Good times.
So, like I commented on another Plenta Kill song, it's sad that so few people probably even remember Yi use to be able to be built AP and now Soraka even lost her Starcall in all but name. No one will remember why this duo would be so destructive.
Soraka is potentially broken on every role, and mediocre as a Support. Why? Sustained damage and sustain = win lane. No cost zoning damage with silence and low cost Q to never miss a minion or kill... It also reduces armour and MR on stack. As a support? Sustain is fairly common and E doesn't zone an AA ADC without stacking AP. The fact that people used to consider trash tier is just... Mind blowing. She was always strong, and the best thing is... She can't get nerfed without a rework. ;) Nerfing her sustain or damage kills her ability to support, and she's a champion designed to support. So: She provides mass amounts of utility, complements any team of champions and she has a strong lane phase. She also can't be nerfed without a rework and fits in every role. When the current FOTM champions are nerfed, I will not be surprised if Soraka is jumped on by people looking for a bandwagon.
***** ^^ I'm playing Soraka Top and I haven't lost a game yet, and I've played her for 22 games. 100% Win rate in Plat 1. Just build AP Bruiser and your ultimate and W makes you the beast tank. You can just AFK in lane and spam Q with tear knowing that no melee is going to get near you without some heavy punishment.

In the olden days, Soraka was useless, little did those peasants realize that soon Soraka would rise again with a rework, to because the most op character in League of Legends for a while.
Because LoL's fanbase isn't pushed for at all, we love the game, the champions and a lot of the fan art that comes from it. I cosplayed as a LoL champ last year and had some of the most fun in my entire life along with about 25 other LoL players. We keep it positive and we try to keep people smiling, laughing or in awe of various things about the game. You just can't force people to be like that :)
I loved the old weird builds. I remember playing with my brother 3v3 with AP Xin Zhao and AD Malzahar. It didn't matter who the 3rd player was, everyone on the other team would buy the wrong items assuming we'd go with a classic build which was often enough to get an easy win. We'd laugh soooo hard when we'd read midgame "OMFG! WHAT A NOOB! WHY WOULD YOU BUY AD ON MAL". Well, for the R + AD minion one-hit kill of the guy who spent all his money on MDef, of course.
Gotta get my fix every morning by listening to this song. I main Raka so I know how it feels whenever I use her with random people at the bot when my clan mates aren't online
I remember this combo, Soraka didn't have to aim her stars, they did magic damage and shredded magic resist, then AP Yi whose Q would also do magic damage at the time and had insane scaling, with no aiming also, would melt enemies, and reset with his ult, plus he'd never die coz of his meditate.
