Imagine if the spindle wasn't broken, we have all learned so much about these turntables and how to scour the internet for information. I know you would rather it wasn't broken but half glass full and all that. Also a wonderful community who pitched in to help. Great series so far Vern 👍🙂

All those little differences on a similar looking record changer is for one reason. Nobody wanted to get sued by RCA Victor.
Copy catting was allowed as long as parts were differently shaped, longer, shorter or located differently.

I've got a couple Admiral models and an RCA that use versions of that 78 changer. As far the changer shown in the picture, it's a VM and I think the 402 was 78-only, the 402D and 405 were 33 and 78, and the 406 was 33, 45, and 78. As far as that center spindle, I'm not making any promises, but I'll look and see if I have one and if I do, it's yours.

It seems they were sold under several names crescent c200 another was Sonora and the admiral RC 150 RC160 and RC160A all seem to share the same spindle.

Most of the record player mechanisms used in American equipment of this era were manufactured by Voice of Music. The one in the advertisement looks to be line of 400's models.

I have been directed to the V-M web page, but no parts listed for mine. Not giving up. 😁
