Me? I think that a new version of cubing would be: you don't get the 15 sec planning period and instead your time starts the moment you first see the cube and off you go!
But well done Michelle K! I solved the cube way back in 1980 and have been doing it on and off ever since then. In 1981 I actually did a 32 sec time (lucky solve) and by 1982 I was always under 60 secs... problem is I still only average about 60 secs!! So well done you.
I have now been Jperm subbed for about 2 years... well since UK's first lockdown... so am improving fast now. My old finger simply don't move fast enough any more and I so often seem just not to see the colours during F2L... ho hum...

This and Michelle's video are two of the coolest videos I've seen in a while. So well done. It reminded me of a year ago when I was starting out with beginners method, sitting on the couch hammering away at the basic algs and steps, feeling the excitement and the frustration. Now at 20s, I still feel that but it's different. I'm also feeling the inspiration watching her in the process to learn full f2l and go for sub 15 this year. Inspirational video! I'm doing a 1 month challenge myself to see how low I can get. 1 year ago I learned to solve the Rubik's Cube with the beginner's method, my best (few) solves were about 1 minute and on average i had like 1:45, but stopped practicing after that. 12 days ago I started cubing again. The first 3 days I just focussed on 'learning' intuitive F2L, on the fourth day I started looking at the 2 look OLL and PLL (all from your videos). After getting a new single PB 2 days ago, about 49 seconds, I managed to hit a 42 and a 35 sec solve yesterday and a Ao5 of about 48 seconds. Thanks for the very well explained videos JPerm!

Got a 58 once and an average of 1:34 in 7 days using the beginner method. lucky random f2l cases randomly popping into place without deliberate construction also helped and solving the middle layer is fun when all the pieces needed to make the second layer whole, are already there but in the wrong spot is a joy to work at because I can look at the piece coming out and instantly realize which color it corresponded to. Using a Bluetooth cube like the i2,i3 really helped me understand cube notations and made it easier to learn algorithms by glancing at motion lines and reading cube notations

I just barely learned how to solve a cube like a week ago, got my best time to one minute with the beginner method, and I just barely finished learning beginner cfop with your videos, literally not even thirty minutes ago I finished memorizing the last two-look pll algorithm.
Anyways, point is, your videos are awesome!

man, I wish i had j perm as a teacher instead of my brother teaching me a way where u need to do the first two layers with the cross on top and slice moves to solve the second layer. But it’s fine. a couple years later i discovered jperm and then i learned the right way. I used to average about a minute a few months ago and now I average around 17 seconds :)

I just started on my own cubing journey at the beginning of this year. I currently have J Perm's RS3M on order. It should hopefully be showing up in the next week or two. I'm currently learning on a cheap Rubik's brand one.
I've been watching J Perm's videos like crazy. I've got the beginners method down to 3:30 average. Once I get my "real" speedcube in, I look forward to practicing on it and learning the CFOP method.

Using only JPerm's beginner video and advanced beginner video I managed to solve in under a minute in 12 days. Dedicating a few hours per day I'm quite pleased with that. Most of that was using a Rubik's brand cube with a cheap speed cube on the final day. 2 days later I'm now at 48.9sec best with an average of 1:10ish. Next I need to watch the finger tricks as I know my movements are inefficient with a lot of wrist turns. Thanks Dylan! You've helped another person enter this fun hobby! :)
