- I love to bake! This easy pound cake is a family favorite!! Just add a few ingredients to the box cake mix and this pound cake will taste homemade! The recipe is included in this short video. *** Generally I don't put frosting on my pound cake. I only had a tablespoon of confection sugar to make a glaze over the pound cake . That little bit was not enough, so I wanted to try something different. It was amazing! Rich, moist and delicious!

I used fresh blueberries, lemon zest in the sugar, and juice of a lemon. Also drizzle I added zest and lemon juice from one. Outstanding moist and delicious cake. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Can't wait to try this recipe.. I saw a video where they made a Sundrop Pound Cake. It's all I can think about. Using your recipe I can make it tomorrow. P.S. I love the crunchy top of the pound cake. Reminds me of my Nana's pound cake. Thanks again❤
For those of u who feel the need to be rude, she states the recipe is at the end of the video. I just paused it & wrote it down. Here it is: 1 box butter recipe cake mix, 4 eggs, 3 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup flour, 8 ounces sour cream 3/4 cup oil. Bake @ 350F in a Bundt pan for 38 minutes.
The ingredient list is at the end of the video (2:16). The video ends at 2:43.

My Husband and i were laying in bed when i got the urge for something sweet. I thought, "I have a DH Butter Golden cake mix in there, that'll be quick to put together." Well, as usual 🙄 i start thinking... if ima make a box cake, why not make it a pound cake!? That's when i found your handy dandy video -- THANK YOU 🎉 ... then, if it calls for vanilla flavoring, why not add vanilla, butter and a tinch of almond flavoring 🌺 ... then if it calls for oil, why not make it butter ⚘️ ... and if its going to be butter, why not make it browned butter ✨️ ... and it called for 4 eggs, why not add 1 more egg yolk 💜 ... and oh yeah there's that vanilla flavored custard powder from the UK 🇬🇧, may as well add a couple of TBSPs of that!! 🎡 It's gon' be a party up in here 🎉❤ Thank you again 🎊🎁 P.S., my cake may have to bake a wee bit longer than 38 minutes!?❤❤😊❤❤

PS can I add simple syrup to the cake? I was just wondering.
You can add many different ingredients to a pound cake. I’ve never tried any type of syrup before. Try it, using a portion of the cake. If you like it, add it to the remainder of your cake. Best of luck to ya!

I don't use tasteless vegetable oil....instead I use butter, or olive or coconut oil. Something with more flavor. It works so much better.

Of course!!! Added extras are always a plus! Just keep in mind, it will have a different taste.

Can't understand why ppl use a box cake mix , but add flour.. just make it homemade it's not that difficult only 5 ingredients... Plus whatever flavor extract/s you wanna use! I promise you Butter taste wayyyyyy better than cooking oil... Once you try it you'll never use another box cake mix again

@@SunshinesSoapbox Box cake is a great base and adding sugar and flour is still less work than making it from scratch which I do if I don't have a box mix handy. I use both oil and butter in both. The flavor is more prominent with the butter but the texture of the cake in my humble opinion tends to be a little more lush with some oil added. It's great we all have our way of doing things. The beauty of being home chefs :-) We cook to please our homes. Happy Holidays! I love the simplicity of your style Sunshine!
