A 1944 soap would be interesting, especially the scent. Can't wait for Rex 1977.

I'm guessing 1977 will be a spicy, musky scent. Almost like a Brut as that is the scent I associate with the 70's.

I truly enjoy these videos! Keep’em comin Matt! The 1955 & 1966 are hands down my favorite products. I use the soap, balm & splash o both. My wife really loves the scents. I can’t wait for 1977! I can’t wait to see what the scent will be.

Maybe for 1977 it could smell like the lubricant a droid would use or Harrison Ford’s favorite cologne since that was the year of some movie that did ok that year.

Hi Matt. Thanks for the video.
I got hold of a pack of the Bolzano blades you mentioned in one of your recent videos. I really like them, paired with my T2 (on 3) or R89. Very good shaves, not quite as smooth as BIC blades but very nice. Cheers!
Edit: 3rd shave with this blade + R89, two passes and smooth as a baby’s. Zero nicks and I can go back to using after shave instead of balm after years of sore skin. 👍👍

Hi Matt, maybe I have a silly question you already have answered before. But I would like to know the following: everything you do deals with safety razors, mainly Vintage Gillettes plus new self-designed Rex safety razors. But always safety razors. Your Razor Emporium logo on the other side shows a straight razor. And only a straight razor, not a set of straight and safety razors or even a safety razor alone. What has been the reason for that when you designed your logo? Thanks Matt for all what you do! Greetings from Germany to you and your whole team!

We sell tons of straight razors and have made lots of videos with them too! A straight razor is more iconic and worked better in a logo. Will be sure to make more videos featuring them in 2024 :)

I must have gotten a counterfeit box of the Personna Lab blades. I have tried 3 of them and it was the roughest most uncomfortable shave ever. I also purchased the Med Preps and those blades are wonderful. Sharp and smooth. It was a very surprising and comfortable shave. Really bummed about the Lab Blues which came in white wrappers.

Those are incorrectly labeled. Those are comfort blades and I agree not comfortable

I think a 1977 scent would be a spice/musk smell. I imagine it like Brut. I'm not sure why, but I associate the 70's with the smell of Brut

I've never seen or heard of blade dispensers at a pharmacy or grocery stores.
What are they? What do they look like? Where would I find one? How do they work? Is it a program or something?

Is Proraso ( I just got mine from you) the same as Noxzema? It sure looks and feels the same. A little different scent (and price) but that's probably easy to change.

Love the Friday videos Matt. And 1966 is a great scent. Looking forward to the 1977. Dark and musky would be awesome. The 70s were all about dark wood paneling, deep shagg carpet and tobacco smoke. 77 is going to be epic!
