I would love to see more videos like this. I do a lot of grip work and have to come up with weird ways to rig lights and bounces. And I love seeing what others do.
I kid you not I have the EXACT SAME setup! Except I’m using a Manfrotto Autopole to hang my lights. It’s like a little mini grid. Literally just uploaded a video about this tonight except it’s scheduled to post in the morning. 😂 Great minds think alike.
I'm planning to install a similar system using horizontal Manfrotto AutoPoles. I'd like to get some lights and cameras a couple feet down from the pole and ceiling, can't seem to find a ready made down pole to attach to a super clamp on one end, then the camera or light on the other. Any ideas anyone? TIA.
Impact 59" Varipole Extension (Silver) i use these and put stuff above the talent i use two of them with two super clamps and U-Hook Cross Bar holders for super claps.
Awesome , I hope you make another tutorial you show us how you are using it I mean the bts while using it , another demand may you take it to the second level by showing how to bulid a rig system for video studio , so you can bulid studio with inexpensive way , I could not find any training series for building video studio instead there are ton of tutorial for building a photography studio
I use a similar system. Except I use these: www.homedepot.ca/product/task-quick-support-rod-160-290-cm-5-ft-3-in-9-ft-5-in-/1000151401 They are for holding dry wall up to the ceiling. I can do them horizontal to help hold a light. and sometimes, i use two vertically and use hose clamps to connect a metal pole horizontally between the two. It takes me 10 minutes to setup by myself.
fine for lighting yourself ... but anytime you put rigging above talent or crew that's an accident waiting to happen. Someone will come along and add a skrim ... then a microphone then a hair light ... and before you know it bruises.
