After my wisdom teeth operation, I started drinking chocolate milk and watched DM sub (because it hurt to smile and laugh and DM had mostly a serious storyline). Now every time I watch this theme, I have a craving for chocolate milk.
Okui Masami's killer vocals and that edgy guitar solo omg. I was obsessed with this song. Loved being a teen in the early 2000s having the means to watch older anime and discover all these great songs.
Gonna pay my respects to the series that helped shape my childhood. Rip Takahashi-sensei, you created something so special even if I can't properly show it.

I remember showing YGO to my brother like 10 years ago. I loved it when I was a kid (I'm 31 now), my brother loved it as a kid (he's 19 now) and our best memories from the show is this very season with this great opening. Yami Marik and Bakura were top notch villains.

Pretty stupid they removed this song from the US version, especially because the song was recorded in the US and featured american musicians, including bassist and guitarist from Mr. Big.
Japanese intros are definitely better than 4KIDS's, still this is the best intro for me, the parT when Joey draw a card with her sister in background is awesome.
I mean it's kinda the same with other anime , I'm pretty sure this version was broadcasted in Japan but most anime broadcasted in the West is limited to dubs, subs are pretty rare.
Season 2: we have some rules now.
There are still shenanigans that occur. However the duels are still much easier to follow than Duelist Kindom.
