Yu-Gi-Oh! Official japanese opening themes playlist: Exists Yusako: Hey, one of my openings is missing Yuya: One ? Several of mine are missing Yusei: You guys have openings ?
For those who've listened to the full version, who else gets that sense of timelessness listening to this song? It's like one of those songs that you'll just think about randomly years later, listen to, and just think about the adventures you've had in your life. Or that song that you listen to after getting home on the last day of school, and just cry to.
That's kind of how I feel about Yugioh in general. I've been following the series since the beginning, so it takes me back to a certain point in my life :)
Yuma keeps it real, and to have rice instead of toast can be considered more editable. Therefore, he's doing something ethically different and having a healthy breakfast.
I don't get why people didn't like yuma at first. He was literally a character that got to grow and get better at dueling instead of being an insta badass. I think that makes him more relatable than the other protags. I always hated how they just won every duel and it was some sort of awful tragedy when they didn't win. It was really dumb.
Because he doesn't really change much as a character, he might have gotten some sort of character building moments, but they don't really matter much after they ran their course because the lesson or what he learns from those moments are thanks and voided. He goes back to being the same block-headed kid he always was (the development he does get for example is when he realizes that his feel fear is kind of cool and all, but it's kind of retarded when he's risking losing a duel just to protect them). Is being block-headed bad: no. But not going anyway past that or still being that while growing as a person doesn't qualify as good character building. Personally, I care if a Protag wins a duel that can determine their characterization; i.e. Judai vs Edo, Judai gets his ass handed to him because that duel had ties to the characters as a whole, for Edo and Judai. And obviously Judai loses and then goes through a depression state because he can't see his cards. I'd say more but that's time I don't want to spend. So overall: Yuma has one-half of his character development, but the other half is kind glossed over.
Because the greater number of fans want a confident protagonist. Despite really never competing in a duel no one hated Yugi. He knew wtf he was doing if and when he was forced to actually duel. No one wants to take a journey with a guy who is inherently bad at thing he's going to be doing for the next 100+ episodes. Dueling takes up a large percentage of a character's growth since well...dueling takes up like 98% of every YGO series. HOWEVER. Becoming a stronger card game player should NEVER and I mean never be a goal of any YGO protagonist. This isn't Cardfight Vanguard. Maybe people find that endearing but I don't.
I think zexal is the great for the reason that the main character doesn't start of as the best duelist in the anime and he actually grows to the best, the characters like shark and kaito are amazing rivals that actually beat the main character, and the numbers add more fun to the anime not to forget zexal 2 gets this dark vibe and plays out great
At the same time, he's unbelievably bad at the beginning. He's been playing the game for years now, yet he doesn't understand the most basic mechanics. Even someone who's bad at the game would have a basic grasp of it.
@@Yusei797 Nope, at least we do talk about yugi muto clearly if he has a development of skills but in the case of yusei the same series clarifies that he has already had a lot of experience in many duels and only at the beginning his development is shown, and then only based on evolving the stardust also Yusei is the same at the beginning as at the end his only change is to become a scientist, Wow
+Aram Allo I love the Japanese version, however the American Voices and edits make me hate the american version. It's Kind of like Jack Atlas, Best thing in Japan, worst thing in America.

Lol, not really. I'm watching this series and I'm at the beginning right now and I'm honestly not liking it, but you can't say that someone doesn't like one thing because they are fanboys of another since that's not necessarily the case, it's just an opinion. I'm on episode 7 and I'm literally forcing myself to sit down and watch it. The main character is completely aggravating, and the side characters that they throw in are utter garbage, then again, that's just classic Yu-Gi-Oh! on that one. I didn't necessarily like Duel Monsters, only liked GX during mid 3rd season and all of 4th season, and I liked 5Ds the most, but I didn't completely fanboy over it. I have seen some of the scenes from later episodes of ZeXal and my disappointment for some of what I've seen has gone through the roof. They throw in idiotic-like characters and give them some of the most asinine reasons for doing what they do, and then leave you questioning what exactly happened, like the guy using Terabyte, he did all of what he did because he wanted to put a monster in the sky, but that didn't really solve the question of him completely overriding the electrical system and even erasing some data from the town. Before I watched it, I thought it was gonna be garbage, and at this moment in time of me writing this comment (Beginning of Ep 7) I still think it's trash.

what are you tlking about, Kotori is the main character of yugioh zexal, she even taught yuma everything she knows about dueling and met spiderman and she's tristan's daughter making her even more important cos we all know tristan was important af also we all know when a character speedwagons it's totally not annoying with the only exception of speedwagon cos he's ma waifu, and she switched bodies with yuma in the first episode but they never told us also meaning yuma has gotten a handjob b4
lmaoo this song is such a legend. i love how extremely fast parts are. gives me summer season at school with the homies vibes (mainly because id watch zexal during the summer)
@@DCUnderdog3000 sadly that is true. But for a fact GX subbed it god tier compared to GX dubbed sadly. also Yugioh Duel monsters HAD a great dub not disrespect to sub I'm going to watch all the yugioh series in sub and one day make a channel about it.
When ZeXaL Started, I thought it was a bad idea, Throwing away all the advancement from DM to GX to 5Ds where the characters grew up from 15 year old Yugi, to 15-18 year old Judai, to 18-29 year old Yusei, only to go back to Middle School Yuma, It seemed like it was targeting a lower age group and casting aside the past, But I gave it a chance, and it actually was pretty good, Even the dub had good parts to it. Yuma saying to Heartland "Its a matter of life and, and, and me without my heart piece" got me thinking "Will they say death?! CAN they say death?!" Also the ep where Astral says "Observation 13 A: Yuma is also my friend" was kinda moving and had real heart. Yuma's final battle with Shark was quite good seeing him staying true to himself being the thing that saved him when all logic says "thats the wrong move!" The side characters like Anna had some good cards and the Number cards were all chosen with a lot of meaning in their name and number. Had I seen all of 5D's 1st I may have felt different, but I actually thought ZeXal was a pretty good one. Its got more lite moments but some pretty good darkness like characters getting actually killed instead of sealed away or something. Yuma going from the worst to outplaying Astral is a good touch and the music and art was nice. I'm glad i gave it a chance as it gets pretty good.
Being fair, Shadow Realm stuff worked for the original Yugioh, ESPECIALLY since death was never entirely taken off the table. It showed up rarely but it WAS there (In particular, the duel with possessed Joey where either Yami Yugi won and sent Joey to drown, lost and drowned himself, or tried some third option and got Tea crushed, with it taking Kaiba (and in the anime, Joey's sister) to get out of the situation with no one dying, and the final duel, which had Atem (Yami Yugi) finally passing on once Yugi beat him, effectively gone for good (DSoD's temporary case not withstanding)). It made it so that when death WAS on the cards, there were no takebacks.
I first hated zexal when I first came out because I first saw the dub and let's out admit it the dubs pretty bad took me like another 2 years to finally watch it in subs. but was it worth it. it was so much more better on subs Yuma's voice didn't make want to stop watching like the dub did. same goes for the intros way better than the dub
So happy you guys are getti getting the japanese versions out on crunchyroll and puting the opening and endings on youtube but now we just gotta put it all on Dvd
This was a dam nice song. Not too hyped, not too cute or hysterical, just nice and cool. Perfect for the kiddy style season. I immediately remembered why I liked it so much.
0:47 onward is unironically extremely good. if YuGiOh was about like, wizards fighting instead of card games, this would be seen as one of the best shows ever made

I feel the same. I don't know if it's nostalgia talking for me, but watching ZEXAL makes me so happy. It's something about ZEXAL I can't explain. It just reconnects me back to my childhood. I miss this show alot.
I wish I could find a streaming website that plays the whole series in Japanese. Every streaming site that has it legally only has the English dub. I refuse to watch the English dub first.
For those complaining about the beginning lyrics Whether it's Stormy, Windy, Misty, or Hot Always be strong, and show me what you got You were kind but strict, at first I became irritated We're different, yet this is the wonder heavens have created The thing is before we met I was really lonely I felt better off like this, but always thought "If only..." Everything I liked and loved, for others it didn't make any sense You're the only one who understood me without any pretence whether we're sad or Happy....(What we understand, What we feel) Different, but in Harmony....(It is all real). No one is exactly the same We must be proud to be different from the others Sometimes there is dissonance, this may result in a strife Don't give up on the strength that will get you through Towards the truth in the blue sky we glide At this Final moment we'll be right at each other's side Whether it's Stormy, Windy, Misty, or Hot Always be strong, and show me what you got You were kind but strict, at first I became irritated We're different, yet this is the wonder heavens have created

Me:**smirks in class**
Teacher:And what exactly is so funny?
My Brain:
This opening makes Tori seem so important.
SPOILER
She's not.
Ahahah
She even doesn’t duel, only when she’s controlled by rank-up Magic barian force tori duel.
At least she is the Yuma’s girlfriend, so it’s normal
I mean thats how it is with most female leads in yugioh exept Akiza from 5ds. Remember how the original series kept shoving Tea up our throats?
@@mysteryman9488 Blue Angel/Girl/Maiden duels too. The GX girl too sometimes.
what are you tlking about, Kotori is the main character of yugioh zexal, she even taught yuma everything she knows about dueling and met spiderman and she's tristan's daughter making her even more important cos we all know tristan was important af also we all know when a character speedwagons it's totally not annoying with the only exception of speedwagon cos he's ma waifu, and she switched bodies with yuma in the first episode but they never told us also meaning yuma has gotten a handjob b4
That animation is at the top of it's game.
lmaoo this song is such a legend. i love how extremely fast parts are. gives me summer season at school with the homies vibes (mainly because id watch zexal during the summer)
Plz don’t kill me buuuut...
What if I said....
You can like *both* the Sub and Dub
🙌!
From a bilingual dub > sub
Subs can be very inaccurate in translation.
@@DCUnderdog3000 sadly that is true.
But for a fact GX subbed it god tier compared to GX dubbed sadly.
also Yugioh Duel monsters HAD a great dub
not disrespect to sub I'm going to watch all the yugioh series in sub and one day make a channel about it.
I started Zexal just today and i already love it!
El mejor Yugioh sin duda alguna
The dub intros were still amazing though
I want to cry... Bring me this back again ❤️🥺🥺🥺🥺😭 in the Original Japanese version 🥺❤️
This anime got me through high school and got me back into Yugioh
So happy you guys are getti getting the japanese versions out on crunchyroll and puting the opening and endings on youtube but now we just gotta put it all on Dvd

You wont believe how much this opening/song has grown on me.
Such a good Opening song! The best one from the series.
I loved this series all the way through, while gx season 1 was the most entertaining in the series.
Oh the memory are slipping in brings back memories just to this op and other yugioh series
holy crap this is good
Never forget: tori is 13. And just looking her up on google pics and scrolling down a bit could get you into jail
Yu-Gi-Oh Japanese rap?

You should check out Miyachi.
Duel Links is Unleashing ZEXAL on the 29th of September and this is my jam thinking about it
This was a dam nice song. Not too hyped, not too cute or hysterical, just nice and cool. Perfect for the kiddy style season. I immediately remembered why I liked it so much.

Zexal world in duel links! Let’s go!!!!
0:47 onward is unironically extremely good. if YuGiOh was about like, wizards fighting instead of card games, this would be seen as one of the best shows ever made

I wish I could find a streaming website that plays the whole series in Japanese. Every streaming site that has it legally only has the English dub. I refuse to watch the English dub first.

For those complaining about the beginning lyrics
Whether it's Stormy, Windy, Misty, or Hot
Always be strong, and show me what you got
You were kind but strict, at first I became irritated
We're different, yet this is the wonder heavens have created
The thing is before we met I was really lonely
I felt better off like this, but always thought "If only..."
Everything I liked and loved, for others it didn't make any sense
You're the only one who understood me without any pretence
whether we're sad or Happy....(What we understand, What we feel)
Different, but in Harmony....(It is all real).
No one is exactly the same
We must be proud to be different from the others
Sometimes there is dissonance, this may result in a strife
Don't give up on the strength that will get you through
Towards the truth in the blue sky we glide
At this Final moment we'll be right at each other's side
Whether it's Stormy, Windy, Misty, or Hot
Always be strong, and show me what you got
You were kind but strict, at first I became irritated
We're different, yet this is the wonder heavens have created
