It’s cool to see how everyone is working around the limitations. Once you really dive deep into it, it has many features and quirks for $300. Dope beats, hope to see more KO vids.
@@eddieleonard6925 Yea, could be cool as an idea starter or sample "texturizer" before transferring to a preferred sampler. Imo, the limitations on the KO II seem a bit too handcuffing to use as a main sampler, but i've bever used one so maybe I'm wrong haha.
@@eddieleonard6925 Also, with the price point of a fancy guitar pedal, it could make for a cool studio tool. I'm suddenly more intrigued with the KO II hehe
Great video thank you! I just got mine, and you made a great point about it's similarity to vintage devices and I think having some limitations helps with creativity. I also find it interesting that some have criticized the EP-133 as being a toy or limited when it's specs are similar to the SP12, SP1200 and MPC60 devices which formed the foundation for hip hop/rap music.
100% true. It's limitations are actually a blessing. Not everybody likes to work this way, but if you're intentional, it's possible to make really quality music with this thing. It's also a very capable and fast sampler.
So it's safe to call it "a Broke Man's ASR x" with the great vintage sound (Quirks included). LOL I may get one eventually but right now I'm working on the couple of MPC's I got real cheap. Have to replace some button switches ect. Thanks for showing us your frequency extravaganza.
As always, thanks for listening. Your feedback is always appreciated. This thing got me out of a creative funk. At this price, it's a great sampler to add to the repertoire.
@@eddieleonard6925 This thing looks good on you. The MPC is king, but the new tech w old school work flow is just what you needed. Dope. A new realm of creativity on the horizon. KIM!
Cool as always! 😊 Ive already sold mine EP. Nothing make sense anymore since Ive got Digitakt. Its sooo deep device . Im really wondering what would be if u put your hands on one . Eddie , will U ? :D
@@eddieleonard6925 it’s not hard to learn , but its deep so its definitely hard to master :) . When i first get it i was able to make some loops without using manual or tutorials:) . Yeah , you can make 1 bar loop and make it sound like 8 with parameter locks etc. It’s really cool sampler, build quality its decent and it feels like an actually Instrument.
These are the coolest beats I've heard from the KO II. Very warm and old school sounding.
Appreciate that! Even though the build quality is cheap, it's a very inspiring device and is true to the old school workflow
Go check out RMXCHVLET

Yea I'm really drawn to it. I like how it challenges me. And I've only had it 2 weeks.
Im a maschine user but this device with it 64mb space makes you focus like back in the day...
I heard a guy recently say he never
heard anything cool from one of these.
You just proved him wrong ~ 💜🔥👍
These things can be finicky, but they're capable if you work within the limitations.
@@eddieleonard6925 👍🌠
That looks like a big ass Texas Instruments calculator, dope beats though Eddie, really liked the 2nd one.
Ha! I remember those Texas Instrument calculators. Definitely a design inspo for this device if I had to guess
It’s fun though
4:43 was sooooo cold, my head is never not boppin during these videos, so clean
Glad you dig it! I'll make sure to save that part before I clear it's memory.
3:45 smooth vibes right here, love the video thank u as always.
Mmm...I like that part, too.
Smooth action, all the way. Head nodding all around
It's a fun device. Worth the hype. Thanks for vibing
I've always seen the KO II as a toy, but it really got some dirt to it. You did your thing on it for sure!
It's built like a toy. But the time-stretching capabilities and workflow are heavily inspired by old school samplers.

@@mgyb8269 That's a really smart way to approach a device like this. Resampling, effects, altering samples, then sequencing elsewhere.

Choice, organic feel. Thank you, Mr. Eddie. 👑

KOOL FACTOR 10 FOR SURE. And the price is a KNOCKOUT.
I feel the same way.

A Broke Man's ASR is a good way to put it.
Those are some nice beats man!! Looks really fun to use too. I don’t really need it now, but will look into this in a while. Keep em coming 🔥
It's fun to change it up. This thing gets me out of my comfort zone.
I'm glad you picked this up. EL 2.0! Love the flavors. Watching on set 🎥

Eddie i Ran out of sample time too. Dumped everything in to the MK2 and started fresh again. Nice vibes 💯
Thanks for the tip. I wish I could track individually by group. :(

What are the knobs you put on there?
Lego pieces #3941. They help with data wheels. cheap and effective solution

Awesome
Glad u dig the sounds brother.
wonderfull, as usual
appreciate you listening! fun to change up the process every now and then
Nice groove
Appreciate that. The KOs are fun.
Beats are mad smooooooth. Can you share where you got the stand? I’m looking for a low profile one just like that
I got it off ebay. super chill..about $20 bucks. if you type in ep 133 stand it should come up.
Did you run this through any mastering plugins or external boxes? Sounding so warm my guy
Yes, these went through my mastering chain. So they hit an SSL bus compressor and a vari-mu compressor. But some of that warmth is the samples.
@@eddieleonard6925 ty for letting me know! Also super glad you are uploading again through these tough times! Keep making that heat.
getting Busy 🔥
Changing it up.
super tight
Thanks for vibing.
I was wondering if I should pick one of these up. You think it's worth the money? Not just a toy?
