Starless is the song I used to listen to on the walk to school cause it lasted about how long it took and was a great song in the first place. Good times.
@@PossiblyTheRealSirSqualo Honestly it was a great mood setter for the day. Even when I was exhausted it put me in the mindset to work hard towards academic success. I’ve started listening to it again in the mornings when I feel like I need a boost
I love both songs, but there's something about Starless that makes me cry every time I hear it. It's one of the best, if not the best music I've ever heard.
Starless is really special. That section with complex rhythms is like being forced to work out a mental puzzle after being emotionally drained. It feels like being too tired to sleep, working through a problem that's so close to being solved you can't put it down, even though your brain is getting exhausted and numbed. After that, the saxophone returning with the main melody is an emotional climax unlike any other song I've heard. (not to say Epitaph isn't amazing as well)
i knew about king crimson for a long time but wasn't aware of any of their music other than off the court album. this year i gave their 80's trio of albums (discipline, beat, three of a perfect pair) a shot and was astounded. now i listen to like all of their works all the time and they're by far my favorite band.
For the record: Young Dabo has not the slightest idea about King Crimson, does he? Anyway. Recommendation : 1) The brief discography of _Giles, Giles and Fripp._ 2) Search for "lance corporal boiled egg". (Wait for the curious dance.)
when I finished the video, I noticed that only Lizard was missing in it and I decided to add at least this. I know it's out of place, but at that time this album evoked only these emotions in me. of course, I'm exaggerating. by the way, I still have not been able to really understand this album, it does not touch me
@@babrlgar That sucks. I really liked it. For a more accuratte depiction, I'd say lady of the dancing water is really calming and beautiful so it would've been funny to put the boy crying in sorrow or something.

This is so true. Epitaph and Starless make me feel so sad.

I think I have watched this video at least a dozen times. Huge Crimson fan and I really enjoy how much you seem to get into their incredible music.
Как же будет зол Фрипп,когда узнает, что его музыку используют)
было бы прикольно получить страйк от Фриппа
