I have been a fan of King Crimson since 1969. They opened the door to so much music for me. Robert Fripp remains my favourite guitarist of all time. It is the unwillingness to compromise and the constant pushing of boundaries that has retained my attention. Not always successful at times, but always, always worth listening to.
This video brought me back to all of the emotion each track gave me in high school. It hadn't been feeling the same recently. You're right, each song has the ability to give you a shot of emotion distinct from all of their other songs
2:05 The three Lizard fans when they meet each other. jk, I love Lizard. As much as it sucked to have the band dissolve and reunite with new members again and again, the musical journey that followed with their constant change in members really is something else, and I do believe that they don't have a single bad album. Islands is amazing for autumn days, staying at home drinking some tea, ConstruKction of Light is so damn industrial with the use of the electric drum kit which made the album really claustrophobic in a good way. Lizard is a brilliant journey through a medieval story that is told excellently with alot of interpretation, a prog classic. In the Wake of Poseidon is similar to their debut, but that doesn't make it bad, it has alot of great stuff too. One can only love 70s and 80 King Crimson, and what they did in the 90s is just even more intense and apocalyptic. And the last few years where they palyed all the songs live with Jakko was a great final to a long career. Thank you for everything King Crimson!
@@johncope9008 I don't really think they have a bad album. But I do believe that Lizard aged better than their debut And the parts of the lizard synphony they played live a few years ago, were so awesome to hear.
