Humans are social creatures. Some of my best memories are with strangers just having fun.
Although I did choose to leave away from people but still within city limits and a 15 minute drive to the epicenter of my city. Best of both worlds

Do you work in construction? Have you ever been around engineers looking at a overly designed building?
Architechs just build whatever they draw and not think of the small details, engineers have to think of heinous ways to make everything fit because the architect won't change plans because " they don't want it to look bad"!
Then construction workers have to "literally" bend backwards and hang over edges to put all the drawing and plans into action.
But yes tell me how I'm wrong. Tell me what I've seen and been around isn't true.

Multiple issues
1:murder would be hard to solve since all the floors and hallways
2:fires are easy to spread thus a potentially fatal fire for 1 or more floors
3:how would people learn buy things or even get education it would take hours or even days trying to find the exit
4: what if someone needs to go to the doctor then what? They die because its hard to navigate the building
4:in a event of a possible war what if someone drops a bomb on the building that’s a good chunk of humanity being killed
(Last reason):how are we going to prevent kidnappings and robbery? With hundreds or thounds of police impossible the person can literally hide at the top right corner of the building and not be found for a couple of hours giving them time to move around

I think there would be a hierarchy for the floors. The lowest floors and outer part of all floors with windows would be considered the most luxurious.
Lowest because they are closer to the gates so they will have the control over the food and supplies.
Outer part of all floors will have sunlight and fresh air, for which people will pay anything.
While the inner parts of all floors will be for the poor. No sunlight or fresh air, no say or control over the supplies.

@admiralaokiji7889 Even if the intention was not to be dystopian (even though it's very much alluding to that fact), how practical will this building be? First off, will there be proper functional drainage systems in that building? What about other amenities like elevators( which is something this behemoth of a structure will terribly need, especially for those on the top floors)? What about electricity? Will the building have enough electricity, especially for those elevators which would be in high demand 24/7? And about the skyscraper itself, wouldn't it be vulnerable to air related incidents (let's say a helicopter crash), as well as thunderstorms. Also, about the living spaces, will they be adequate for the sheer amounts of people set to live in this kilometre high building. This brings me to my other and final point. If the intention of the building was to serve as peoples living spaces, why dont you just build typical units? What's wrong with those. They may appear outdated to you guys, but they'll do the trick. Plus, the people would also love to live comfortably, not just living. Even billionares (the people who this skyscraper was built for, hence it's dystopian vibe) well, they also have a thing for comfortability where they don't have to scramble for oxygen in a place where having a big ass fan is already a necessity. Just a thought.
