Thanks to Leigh for the fixes and most of the info on the pianomate! Remember to check out his channel too and I'll see you for at least one more vid before the year is out :) Let me know what you thought in the comments!
18 mins!!! And not a minute too long. This is easily the most detailed overview of the Pianomate EVER! Awesome job Mari! P.S Thanks for the shout out. 😊
Back in the mid 1970's me and my mates formed our very first 'proper' band, and we did it all on a budget. The keyboard player built his own electric piano out of a kit from Maplins (took him ages), using an old guitar case as the body. It didn't sound all that good, but then one day he turned up at a rehearsal with a Pianomate he'd bought somewhere. We'd never heard of such a thing, but when he set it up and put it together with the sound of the piano it sounded ten times better! Eeh lass, they was simple times, back then...
@@MariDangerfield Yes! I got a call from Leigh that he needed one and I had it spare, glad its been used to get a pianomate back on the road. My dad used to have a pianomate many years ago, I don't know what happened to it, it's not the most 'convenient' of machines.
I scored a NOS Dubreq Pianomate with the manual for 10 dollars 9 years ago at our Columbus, Ohio, USA's Durthaler Organ store's 90+ year going out of business sale. I got so much great stuff for pennies on the dollar.

Thank you Leigh. You know how much you helped with this one, so I must give credit where it’s due. 😊

Amazing that your dad had one! It isn’t but it is a lovely-sounding instrument 😊
@@MariDangerfield it's got that lovely organ like vibrato that reminds me of the Farfisa sound.
I’d love to hear the record when you have time. Thanks for the detailed description. Great video.
I think someone uploaded it as a youtube video actually ☺️ you should be able to find it! Glad you liked the video 😁
So cool
Thanks for checking it out :)
Would love to hear the demo record.
I think it's out there on RUclips already somewhere :)

That's really cool! Have fun :)
This seems more fiddley than it needs to be. it may have been cool at the time but I would prefer to use a modular.
Fair enough. I like fiddley things as you might have noticed ;)
