Exactly, I had my programming internship supervisor get mad and talk with the CEO about firing me because I went out take a call in the parking lot. I mean as a web developer you can take multiple jobs and work as a independant. In my case I have a personal company on the side where I can sell my services. As a intern Im not getting any mentoring at all, dude himself sells services on the side, drives a mustang daily to work and thinks Ill be kissing his ass and making him coffee. dafuq

Im an engineering tech making 28/hr + OT and bonuses and I work at the whole foods bc things cost a lot of money. I have a kid a wife (whos old job paid lees than crap daycare would cost) a mortgage a car payment etc etc. Thats how much life costs and these privileged assholes want to laugh at the guy. Youll never know someone elses situation. The best thing to do is mind your business if you arent willing to help someone out.

I’d always get pissed because they see my paychecks 😂 they know why I have to do it, rent for a studio is 1500 fuckin dollars lol

We should all make enough money to afford necessities AND have money to be able to live a little. Why does it matter if someone wants to have enough money to eat better food, or not have to shop at a thrift store? Where do people like you get off telling other people they shouldn’t be allowed to experience life to its fullest as a bare minimum?
Been in a similar situation and that’s definitely what it is.
Pizza job probably gave him a lot of cash to play with. He likely paid no tax on the cash he got. So he would live off his cash job and save 100% of his white collar job.
The fact that company owners can own multiple businesses, but we can't have multiple jobs is hypocritical!

working a full time job and a part-time job, isn't against any rule. how else would they know if you didn't tell them? and you're not obligated to disclose that information.
They can if there's a conflict of interest. Say you would have the opportunity to use secrets at one company and bring them to your other job. However I don't think a remote position and a pizza delivery place have much conflict of interest.@@thorkildhammersth2564

We are a remote company. We have all meetings on zoom. He had his zoom in his car.
Pizza place probably wasnt paying alot but it was probably accomodating to his current job schedule wise. I dunno if i would share this story, it shows a lack of empathy to peoples situations.

I can't stand that jobs always want to tell you that you can't have another and try to put pressure on you because you don't dedicate your timer just one, if you are paying enough I could afford to stay with you and you only but that's not the case or else the guy would stay. At the supervisor is a real supervisor they would see that he clearly has a Drive.

Any business that prevents you from having the option of getting a side hustle or 2nd job is a giant red flag. I can understand a do not compete agreement where your not doing the same job at another company or making your own, but to straight up say no you can't have another job at all when you work remote then your a shit company. Its that simple, pay your employee enough and they won't need another job. Make it like you actually care about your employees and you will grow loyalty take care of them and they will take care of you. Use them and they will use you.

Who cares if he works a second job. That is his life and business. Yes taking meetings in between while at another job I can understand an issue, but whatever he does after being on the clock for you is his business
Work
Keep it simple. Pick a job you can see yourself doing from looking at job activities, learn the skills needed for the job, and if you can learn this without needing to go to university then do this as you can learn everything online. But some require uni like med school.
Pick something high in demand in your area of residence, learn the skills, choose 2 jobs related to skills be great at these specific jobs. Rather then 10 jobs you can be ok and make it harder for you to get a job because you're not being in depth.
