My mom has had stage 4 cancer for 6 six years now, the doctors had given her 2 years to live, some of her days are not best but that does not deter her will to live , so never give up, stay positive.

It was melanoma that was caught too late and spread to my brain .Been almost 3 years but I am getting weaker everyday . I am a guitarist but not near as good as Kiko and my heart broke when my thumb had to be amputated . At first I thought all those years gone .Some nights I work up the strength like tonight . For QnA’s. Is it hard for you to record the music, how much time do you usually need to record one particular song? And more exact into solos, do you believe, that every single note in solo must be absolutely perfectly recorded? Hi Kiko, guitarist question here: How do you approach which licks are easier/harder, depending on the key you are in. Eg. The "Chuck Berry lick", quite easy around the middle of the neck: keys B to E, but elsewhere the frets get wider or smaller and the string tension is higher. Also the tone changes, I like that lick in G but it works better with a twangy tone à la Deep Purple. I suppose you don't often hear a rock song in F#, but do you feel like some licks are to be avoided in some keys and that not all keys are equal on the guitar ?

Nobody cares. Such a freeing statement in one way. I think when people are young they would prefer people care about what they are doing, etc. I've mainly worked on guitar for the sounds I'm interested in over the years, and that has been such a joy. I've spent very little time hoping other people would "care." That's been helpful in having more fun with guitar too.

I've to say the lack of spontaneity and flexibility at shows when bands like Megadeth become big is quite a turn off. The unpredictability and volatility of early Megadeth made the band wild and more fun to listen to.
Hey kiko I don’t know if you’ll see this but Me and my brother in law were actually at your concert with ffdp at the Syracuse lake view amphitheater and actually had the q/a experience with you guys which was actually awesome and you guys put on an amazing performance my first time seeing the band but unfortunately had to leave after you had played angry again I think because we got the message that my mother wasn’t gonna make it and she unfortunately died that night and just wanted to say When Dave explained the meaning to that song soldier on it really stuck with me.
Have you listened to Los Jaivas? In my opinion they're one of the coolest latin american band ever. A lot of things they did 50 years ago still sound fresh and are top notch prog. Cheers from Chile!

Kiko is it true true in Brasil when you were 15 you dueled a motorcycle gang that came into the store,you were in line buying a guitar world magazine, they drove into the store with sharp coconuts and were about to hurt the store manager and his son..you took out the guitar and hypnotized them to put down their coconuts..then the leader played too he took the store owners guitar and almost beat you but you played the sonata fugue and make him cry..is this true my uncle say this story drunk at the party.
