you know, it's one thing when a rock star is on stage, and they have that energy radiating from them when they shred through an impossible solo.
to see the same thing executed cold in a small rehearsal with no crowd energy almost makes it even more jaw dropping because you can here how damn precise kiko is with everything

So... at 55 seconds in it says you were in Portland, Maine. If I'm not mistaken you were in Portland Oregon. I saw you at the Rv style inn ampetheatre in Ridgefield Washington, lol. Just saying... keep rocking! I love watching your videos and how you appreciate everyone that makes your shows happen every night. Alot of bands think its all about themselves but your not like that. You should make a practice video of Celebutaunte. Those riffs are insane...

One of my small joys in life is watching Kiko rip through one of the greatest solos ever written. And no matter how many times he does it, you can still see him sink himself into it. That solo has a soul, and he has managed to merge with it.
But he did change the ending this time. Kinda cop out since that last part is blazing speed

There is a lot of chemistry between Kiko, Dirk, and James. I hope this line-up stays solid enough for all to contribute on the next album, that could be some real magic.

Honestly seems like he's took over as Dave's number two for a while. I don't think he's had anyone ever have this position where Kiko is like the Megadeth rep since Dave's probably too busy.

Kiko, just saw you play an hour ago in phoenix. I am so glad you are in megadeth. You bring so much proficiency and joy to the the show. The band has not been this good since Marty left. I love watching you three in a tiny room with an electronic kit and small amps. You can see, hear and feel the tightness and vibe coming through loud and clear...and how well that will translate to a big room with the big PA. Something very satisfying about hearing the e-drums unplugged. I can hear the sound superimposed in my head. Thank you for sharing, so cool!
Kiko as always a blessing. But i love that quick rehersal at toom level . You can see how good and tight they are . Everyone 100% on their game . Straigh and accurately done no need for flash gear . Bedrooms level so that everyone can see and perfectly hear what each other are doing . Thats how you make sure there is no mistakes. You catch a mistake and you fix it . Massive kiko massive!!!!

The gig is, by comparison, just such a small part of your daily routine, but that's usually all the audience gets to see, so this is really enlightening 🙏😎

Hey Kiko, I'm curious. When you join a band like Megadeth, are you expected to know exactly how to play the songs? I'm sure for you, you learned by ear how to play most everything, but does Dave sit and show you how to really play certain riffs if you're not playing them exactly 100% correctly?

In a recent interview, Kiko said, that he learned by ear, and watching live footage, then Dave corrected some finger positions (I Guess the same notes, diferent place on the fretboard)
Kiko learned and studied Chris Poland's solos by listening to his insolated guitar tracks

Thank you guys! I must've missed that interview, but that's what I figured happened. I know Dave would probably be all about fixing finger positions and everything so the riffs would be perfect. Especially things like Wake Up Dead with the spider chord progression

Dirk's passion for a rehearsal for a song that he most probably played minimum 5000 times is amazing. I envy the people have such passion for the work they are doing.

Dear Kiko, I have a question, how do you deal with consecutive fast inside picking or outside picking? thank you very much :)
Check out (Troy Grady) on RUclips. he has a lot of great close up picking technique videos. Alternate, inside, outside, pick angles and string hopping. A thicker pick helped me. Use at least a 1mm. Malmsteen uses 1.5mm. You want a thick pick that does not flex.

I am so happy I want to cry. Tornado of souls is my favorite song of the band, it seems obvious but all my friends don't even understand Megadeth. I just ordered the last vinyl yesterday because I felt the album would remind me of rust in peace. I looks like that's what they revive ! I only listened two tracks to be sure and will hear the rest as soon as it arrives !
Why is Megadeth not headlining this tour? Seems like a horrible crime against humanity.
Awesome Kiko!! I asked the question at the Mountain View show…did Marshall or Artists design those cabinets and Dave’s answer was No and No. I designed them. They look great!!

@@AndresPerdomoc Same here, It could be proposed or offered, assingned. Management has a full team of techs for everything but maybe Kiko and Dave choose their guitar techs. I kind of laughed at "imposed" as it furthers the impression that Dave is a dictator hahah, He's the boss yes, but for what I've seen he only cares about competent and professioal people.

That Megadeth train never slows down or jumps tracks. Full steam ahead since 1983 when I was a JR in high school. I have ridden this train since....and I'm not gettin off til the END. Peace metal family!
