Appreciate the videos. I just ordered levers for mine and I’m confident I can do this myself and not need to have someone help or take it anywhere and pay someone else to do it. Thank you bro, ride safe!
I was looking everywhere for some trustworthy levers that came together. I didn't find any until I found your video. Thank you for this and for providing a link
@@glovrrfilms5886 M4 slip on exhaust, integrated tail light with fender eliminator, black windscreen, red levers, added some grip tape, tank pad, and quick shift kit that i haven't installed yet.
@@adamhoward450 Damn sounds like she looks good! Im still in the process of considering a couple other mods. Very curious about the quick shifter and how much of a difference it makes. Def let me know when you install it i have questions lol
I don't need those levers so don't pick me, but I'll gladly check out and send a thumbs up to a new motovlogger! Peace and love from the FZ8 group on FB! ✌️👌
Bike looks good man. Quick tip from experience, make sure you tighten down the jam nut to the clutch perch so you don’t strip the threads! That would make for a bad day!
@@daricwulf1967 I'm gonna do a Toce slip-on. And as far as other mods I think I'm gonna keep it simple with cosmetic mods for right now: exhaust, fender kit, levers, and windscreen. Do you have any recommendations for if I change my mind? Lol
Make sure you have enough free play on the clutch. Here is an old school trick If you can slide the thickness of a nickel in at the pivot point you should be OK on the adjustment with enough slack.
@@glovrrfilms5886 Your bike’s clutch needs to have a little freeplay in the adjustment so that you’re not riding the clutch even when the lever is fully out. If your clutch is adjusted too tight, this will happen, which will not only wear out your clutch plates quicker and make your clutch fade sooner, but all that extra clutch friction creates more heat for the engine. A ‘standard’ cable clutch that requires a wrench to loosen the lock nut. A lot of modern bikes have quick-adjust clutch wheels at the perch so you can tighten up your clutch without any tools, even during a race. If you are a rider who adjusts the clutch on-the-fly, you especially need to be sure to check that you still have the proper freeplay once the bike has cooled down. And that’s the key here, check this freeplay with the engine cool, not after it’s warmed up. To gauge how much is the right about, use a nickel; you should be able to pull the lever away from the perch ‘freely’ for about a nickel’s worth of movement where the lever separates from the perch before you feel the cable beginning to disengage the clutch
Have you found the fault in those cheap levers yet? 70 bucks for a set of levers = cheap Chinese levers. Avs or crg...out side of that stick with factory.

By pivot point do you mean the dial that you have to twist?
