Thank you Sir, I found your channel to understand Symbolic Lines. Your long videos are very helpful to fully grasp topics in easier-to-digest explanations, and a couple of jokes on the side lightens the mood!😄😄😄
Hey Mike kudos to you, you are a great explainer at micro and macro level, also full of energy and humor, like your videos thanks for posting it for free :-)
Hi sir...how r u..i want to ask one thing what is the importance of dynamo in revit...it is mandatory to learn Dynamo who want to work in Bim industry....thanku sir .... ..
I learned Dynamo for Revit and it is very useful for "repetitive tasks." E.g. Interior design, 3D Model design and Architecture design. As a Civil Engineer, it is less important. This would be too easy for programmers to understand. However, it is essential to learn this AFTER having a basic and advance Revit Trainning, since the Dynamo for Revit is "easier" to understand knowing eg. Families, Types, Parameters and etc.
SHOP DRAWINGS are drawings that different sub contractors submit to the Architect for review of what they plan to supply on site to build their part of the building. AS BUILT DRAWINGS are the submitted Construction Documents that also have been updated during construction to reflect the actual way it was built.
I think the quickest way to get survey points into Revit topography is with an AutoCAD file. If the points are truly 3D.. like from civil3D. I can make a video!!!
@@miketaylor8211 Also touch on the best way to cut the topography around all of your concrete work like foundations and what not. That would be amazing. Thanks for the great work.
Will the sheets in a linked consultant model be manageable in the primary model's Project Browser?, and will Revit create Sheet List(s) from linked consultant models?
no and yes. No to the ability to manage the sheets in the linked file from the primary model's Project Browser. You can't even see their sheets. Yes to making a schedule that will 'mine' the data from the linked file. You can pull all the information you need from the linked file (sheet number, sheet name, etc.).
@@garagedancer122 Yes... there is a little checkbox on the schedule creation dialog for 'including linked files'. This brings any data with the same parameter from the link into your schedule!
Fisher this guy is the absolute best to learn from. Comment when you get here.

Thanks. Some people who only want the quick short answer to a question don’t like my videos. But it’s my style. They can keep looking!! :)

Dynamo is worth learning (as 123rockstar2010 says) after you have a great grasp on Revit. It’s mostly for repetitive tasks.
Wow again- thanx
Hi can we sub categories like Floor Plan , RCP, and Roof plan into architecture discipline??
Maybe some cut and fill.... topography point stuff? Thanks brother!!
I second that! I also want to learn how to convert survey points to Revit Topography. Do we used Excel, AutoCAD or just Text programs?
Oooo cut/fill!! Great topic! I’ll make a video for that!
