The weight of the electric motor is not what's holding back BEV's it's the weight, 'energy' density, charging speed and lifespan of the batteries.

Hey now, and every pound matters, an not to mention the extra performance. What is not to love. Also you have hybrids that will love this.
There is supposedly an 800bhp 52 pound motor by EHelix. That is wild!
Maybe we will see larger ones for hybrid aircraft. Or for drones.

When we fully tested them motors for repeated demand on power and constant speed over time they failed. So yes those motors are good but not for cars, boats, trucks or planes. Only for light duty short bursts duty . I think nothing compare with Tesla motors to date for power to weight technology

motorcycle don't need that much torque with gear reduction.this would be useful for hub motor and improving efficiency/reducing battery weight but then you re still stuck with heavy battery and now you also hane a heavy rear wheel...
the only way with current tech for e motorcycles at highway speeds is very fast charging and big breakthrough in drag reduction.
for commuter motorcycles, tech is already ok, all you need is lower cost

Axial flux motors have a heat dissipation problem due to the location of the windings. Stacking them exacerbates that issue.
Currently, they are only capable of being used in low power applications. It's going to be a long time before these can even be considered for use in high torque applications.
Radial flux motors produce a lot more torque, and without heat dissipation issues.

I have a hard time believing it. I have been hearing about how amazing it is for a long time but I don't get to see it in action. 3 years, maybe 4?
I understand that in a perfect world nobody would be responsible for getting overly excited about ficticious technology.
A presenter being overly excited about scientifically impossible inventions in the past can color a person's view of their future content.
There comes a point where that presenters work becomes detrimental to any technology they support or advancements they highlight.
It's damaging to have some people "on your side."
