This is not my typical style of video, so forgive me for how it looks. I learned my lesson about lighting a long time ago but when you don't have the equipment to work with you just make what you can. I really need to get a second light to cast a hue on the background, or maybe even have a hairlight. No matter how the look of this video comes off though I hope that my message comes across loud and clear. The Fallout show is good, great in fact! Actually it probably helps that lots of people don't bother watching these types of videos, so the way people treat "content" will be a boon to me here.
I've actually got an idea for another vlog about how I don't like what we call "content" these days. It's the general idea that lots of stuff we use for entertainment is so throwaway that we don't even pay attention to it in the moment when we "watch" it. I use quotations there because so often no one actually watches the video element. So frequently a video is mostly put on as a podcast meant only to be glanced at once in a while as you're busy doing something else. That entire idea just bothers me, especially since so much of the videos I've made over my life have been particularly slaved over to make sure most if not every frame is put to maximum use. And that's all gone to waste when people put it on as simple background noise.
Whoops, I think I just gave away the idea for my next vlog, assuming a reasonable number of people actually watch this video and encourage me to do another anyway.

Having just finished episode 8 myself, I really enjoyed it!
It was a real damn shame what Fallouts 4 and 76 did for your channel's content, but fingers crossed the show brings newfound attention to 3 and NV, and with it increased traffic to your old guides which are S-tier for sure.
I mean have you not seen the steam charts, ALL of the games are getting more players. And getting new blood is always good for a franchise.

without getting into spoilers: as both a fan of the series and a filmmaker, i really loved the production details of the show. all the little bits and pieces sucked me in - the crew did an excellent job and you can tell they cared about getting things right.
as for the lore… that’s a story for a different day 😅

Having started watching the show yesterday and finishing it today, this show is awesome and I'm hopeful to see if it gets a 2nd season. The ending had my jaw on the floor just cause of the potential it showed.

I binged all 8 episodes from 8 last night to 4 am this morning. I was hooked, I loved it.
People are grasping at straws for reasons to hate it, making up retcons that don't exist and getting mad at people raised in hellish post apocalyptic situations acting weird/awkward.
Golly gee look at that handsome face! Love your perspective on the show, especially because you're one of our favorite Fallout/Skyrim creators!
My biggest problem with the show is the massive plothole of the Triennial meeting between Vaults 31, 32, and 33.
I think it's very good but there are a few major unnecessary lore inconsistencies, mainly involving the NCR, I think they were done pretty dirty.

Did you unalive the enclave president? Did you unalive Mr. House? well, the show would have to confront those question, which is maybe why the are not vibing?
heck, I didn't finish FO4 since I couldn't make a plot choice at 75% of the main quest.
Sorry I guess I forgot how crucial NCR is to the FNV plot, I don't remember them as the brotherhood

I call bullshit that it is written well. The fact they nuked NCR and Shady Sands to factory reset the West for the BoS and Enclave to be the main superpowers is pathetic and lazy. They pissed all over the well-written characters and stories of FNV.
You remember Fallout New Vegas right? The only recently well-written new age Fallout game that wasn't done by Bethesda.
My brother in Christ, the game you can't stop sucking off set up the NCR to fall. It is repeatedly portrayed as a failing empire, filled with corruption and incompetence, pissing off every new individual brought under their "protection."

What makes this plot nonsensical? Lucy needing to find her dad? Linus from lost having the secret to cold fusion in his neck? It's all pretty grounded.

I watched a little of the first episode and hated the humor and main character. Fallout is only funny in game form. Ill wait for the hype to die down and try to finish it but its mid.
