To your point at the end, DJI requires too many dongles now to keep up with the competition. This is how they stop innovating and “micro transaction” their users. Better options out there at this price point.
Yep! That’s why I would like to see a “hub” that has all of the functionality of all the dongles built into it that connects via the SDC cable. That way I just have one hub that lets me plug whatever I want in. They could still sell all the dongles separately…but for power users like you and I, it would be great to buy a small add on box and be able to max out the solar, expansion batteries, car charging, etc.
Yes, once you add one MPPT solar charger along with the app dongle, you have run out of ports to add anything else. I realize the car charger plug in is temporary while in the car. But to add another MPPT box, you'll need to remove the app dongle, which defeats having it. The Jackery and Ecoflow have everything except the car charger built in for the price. I have all three, and the Ecoflow delta 2 comes out on top. Then the Jackery. The DJI would be #1 if it was all built-in.
Seems super powerful but they missed the boat on solar recharging. I understand no one has higher inputs and shorter recharge time, but without solar and requiring all the extra dongles, it doesnt make it as useful for the general public. That car charger is amazing but at $300, its crazy expensive.
I watched another reviewer, he said as long as there is an unused SDC port on the Expansion Battery 2000 that i could plug in 1 of DJI's MPPT adapter module (for solar charging), do you agree? And, have you had any conversations with DJI about plugging in 1 MPPT adapter to the SDC port instead of the 1000 dc fast charger? Also, because you plugged in an external charging unit (the 1000w dc charger) to the unused SDC port, would it make sense that the DJI MPPT adapter module could then be plugged into the same port? David
Yes, any spare SDC port on either the main power station unit or the extra battery can be used with any of the SDC accessories. But if I want to use the app dongle and my extra battery… I’m only left with one SDC port which halves the total solar input I can put in… And it will take forever to recharge the power station and the extra battery. We’ve seen from the fast DC charger that the SDC ports can handle up to 1000 W without issue. So I would love to have a hub that I could plug in to my one spare SDC port and then be able to max the solar out up to 1000 W. Then we could actually get the battery and power station charged in somewhat of a decent timeframe. Thanks for watching!
@theresatrickforthat Thank you. I recently purchased the 2000 Battery, Dongle for App, and mounting kit, but even though I will have the app Dongle, I decided I would rather have the 800W solar input than watch the app during charging, though I have found it helpful not to constantly go outside to monitor my charging progress. I appreciate your feedback.

I’d be happy with the hand truck back up, this is some power plant status ❤
It is awesome! Thanks for watching!

@@theresatrickforthator better yet build the control systems into the battery like their competitors, 🤷🏾

BTW, the external solar charger does have a bit more power than the competition
@KaitoMori456 it does, but they could have included at least one solar dongle as the competition does. And sell the second if the consumer wants it.
They need a SDC fast charge cable for the Avata2
That would be great! Thanks for watching!
I have to say that the avata itself charges quickly, and it's practical to charge the new drones with the power 1000.

I agree. I hope that is their next area of innovation. Improving solar charging capabilities! Thanks for watching!
It can take in 800w of solar with two mppt’s
As for useful… speak for yourself. I find it very suited to my needs
@@billb7033so it can be recharged with the solar panel plugged on the DJI 1000 or not?

Do your research, this DJI is just not as good many other power stations
I’m always open to hearing new ideas and information, so thanks for sharing and for watching!
Maybe for your needs… but suits us DJI drone flyers just fine
