What do Judges, prosecutors and parole officers think about your company? Thanks.

My heart aches at the horrible choice Mr. Santos made to initially go into the drug trade.
His brilliance was wasted so much in an illegal choice. I’m sure that he regrets it more than anyone.
Did he counsel younger men against this terrible choice? I assume he did and still does.

His brilliance creates content that influences more than a million people a year in prisons and jails. Every CA prison and every BOP prison uses his coursework, Preparing For Success After Prison. He’s been teaching since he went to prison in 1987. His journey has not been wasted.

Michael has never wasted a day. That’s one of his most remarkable qualities. Most of us would have looked at a 40-year sentence and asked, what’s the point? Why spend the time and energy to get an education, write, exercise, help others, etc. Wasting it would have been watching TV and playing cards all day. Instead he deliberately invested each day into creating a life that’s helped and inspired countless others. It’s the millions of great decisions he made following a few poor ones that hold the most meaning.
