The sound effect at 7:44 (which you labeled “Bonus”) occurs when you’ve beaten the highest score achieved since turning the system power on (the default value is 10,000 points.) The sequel Gun-Nac, released a few years later, also has a “new high score” sound effect.
In my humble opinion, contains some of the best soundtracks ever. Absolutely love the Intro ( _Title_ _Screen_ ) & Area 1 music. An all~encompassing capture of retro~gaming nostalgia for me when hearing these sounds, even though I've never played this particular game.
2:56 If you listen to the _Area 2 & 4_ tracks, you'll notice that the time signature or the repeat count of the triangle channel arpeggio was miscalculated. It clearly plays at half the tempo it's supposed to or one too many times.
Oh god, the masochism that is this game. >.< To this day, still one of the hardest games I've ever played. Beat it one single time, and I have no idea how.
It's not exactly hard. It's because it's one of the first games with a dynamic difficulty that shows that it's adjusting to how you play. Avoid projectiles too much? Prepare for bullet hell. Shoot nonstop? expect harder or INDESTRUCTIBLE enemies.
Omg after I found your other stuff, I was going to tell you that if you do Zanac, I'd love you forever, and then I found that you already have! So I guess I love you forever now. :D
Unbelievable! I remember hearing this a long, long time ago. Its been almost 30 years. My God! My Childhood videogame memories. I was so addicted to this game. I think I played until I passed out or my mother stole my NES controllers. I can't remember which. Probably both happened most likely.
TheDAN529 You need to be versed in the NES assembly language to do that, but fortunately someone has already done it *for* you. You can find almost any NES OST on Zophar.
Loved the creepiness

I like that old school arcade zanac1985 and nes game zanac 1985 and nes soundtrack 1987 and nes soundtrack 1989
In my opinion this was one of the best shooters on the NES, plus a very
cool, memorable soundtrack, thanks for the upload.

For me, there was nothing like the rush of playing this game first-thing in the morning when my senses were heightened.
Best NES soundtrack, even better than Mario and Zelda. Love it!!
This is great driving music. It takes the boredom out of boring envoirments on long trips. Thanks for posting!

Try Silver Surfer.

right on, more shmups!!! This is a good one. The sequel on PS1 is pretty cool too
I think I might have had this game for my NES when I was kid, the cover art looks so familiar.
Area 1 music is EPIC... oh my so many memories...
This is a good one, similar style as gun-nac and guardian legend.
Same creator
Are 7:51 and 7:57 switched in the video description by accident? I noticed that the 7:57 comes before 7:51 there, so that's why I'm asking.
This was the hardest game i finished in the nes, more that ghost and goblins and ninja gaiden
4:57, 10:39 Best Theme! :D
The original bullet hell game.
ARER 1
Awesome thanks!
P.S.
The Guardian Legend is even more obscured tho it's better than Zanac and Gun-Nac together.
Dear Wii, where did you get "Start" theme? In game no "Start" theme!
An extracted NSF (_Nintendo Sound Format_) may sometimes contain tracks not heard/used in the game.
So, let's extract all tracks in NSF-file ;)

It's actually the music used when a level mini-boss (ground, not flying) is defeated.
BAD FUCKING ASS!
2022!!!! Nintendo forever
Ещё спасибо!!!
