I made this remix back in 2010 and is probably the first real videogame remix I created. The title "Beat-ing Zanac" has a double meaning in that the remix has an overall strong "beat" to it and is also a tribute to the first time beating the game. I played Zanac a lot when I was younger but never completed it. I decided to complete it at least once before starting on the remix to get a feel of the songs in context of the game. I feel that I can appreciate videogame music better when I hear it in-game as well as out of it.

Zanac was a game where the music was the main reward in its positive feedback loop. I wanted to keep hearing the music, I wanted to hear what the next level sounded like. Only Capcom at their best can compete.

I never used power 2!!! I used 3 or 7 throughout the game... With power 2 the number of enemy ships is too unbearable... So cool to see someone else using another tactic for this game!

First time i`ve played on pirate cartrige, there was a cheat: 15 lives from start. But still was tough. My favorite weapon (exept 7) is 0 (start ball) on max it shreds even bullets, and unlimited.
