- In this art tutorial, Partnership Editions artist, Rose Electra Harris, will guide you through a series of exercises based on drawing Tulips.
Rose Electra Harris is a London based artist and print-maker based in Peckham. Growing up with an antique dealing father, Rose has always been surrounded and intrigued by antiques and textiles. Decorative objects such as vases, chandeliers and free-standing baths are common motifs in her work.

What you'll need: Pencil, sheets of paper, marker and oil pastels (can be substituted with crayons or coloured pencils).

I loved this so much. its so easy to get bogged down and focus too much on what the outcome will be but this video has really inspired me to just go crazy with colour and mark making. Then as a secondary benefit to being loose with my approach I also love the outcome. Big love xo

the reason why these drawings "work" is that eventhough it not picture like, you have a firm grasp on composition , space color etc, so in that way it is perfect for the style your working with.

Nice! I found Rose Electra Harris very inspiring and freeing. I have been working on an oil painting of chitting potatoes in an egg carton , and this has given me an idea to make lots of drawings of the still before I have to plant them later this week! Fun!
