The P100S is definitely worth the price. The quality is unmatched. Those ninebot max scooters are built to last forever with little to no maintenance and are very cheap to maintain. This is basically a fun and fast version of that scooter. Wish more scooter companies had the budget and engineering skills to make scooters like Segway from the ground up not just a rebranded slightly customized scooter from China

When I was looking for a great commuting scooter I debated between this scooter and the GT2. The only reason I went with the GT2 is because I have some big and long hills in my commute and thought only a dual motor scooter would be able to conquer them. Now watching the reviews for the P100 it looks like I made the right call.

Great Review! Just got mine and it's a big improvement over my beloved MaxG30!
Finally they enter the right category - Kaabo/Vsett/Dualtron/etc segment. World was waiting for some Max model with more than couple of hundred watts AND with suspension. GT2 was some heavy monster I instantly ignored, but this looks great. Still bit heavy, i thought it'd be nice to squeeze weight into 25kg "limit" like Vsett9+ can.
The battery is the most expensive part. Lighter will equal less range.
This is perfect bang for the buck.

What users are the p100s and gt1 made for, and personally for you, what is the best purchase option?
This 100S looks better suited for the city compared to the Carla Eagle One Pro which is more off Road friendly. Whats your thoughts?
The P100S so far is insane. I'm used to the MAX so it's a big move up. Heavier but worth it for the stability. Hoping the suspension breaks in and makes it a bit more cushy though. Awesome power and speed (30mph is enough for me or I'd probably end up dead), great battery life. A bit concerned with the tall skinny handbar though. Feels like if I pull back on it too much it could snap. I dunno. Anyhow, loving it.
You don't want to have the suspension more cushy. If it's any softer, it starts slamming the limiter super hard when going over small bumps, because it doesnt have much travel.
Hows your riding been? Did it ever snap?
Is the scooter secure if you put a u lock on the handle bar stem?

Recently moved near Lake Michigan in Chicago, and I’ve caught myself using my car less and less. I’m thinking of getting either an e-bike or e-scooter. Anyone recommend any good bikes/scooters in the price range of the P100S? Thank you.
is the p100s mostly plastic it looks like the entire shell is plastic thats sortof a dealbreaker for me, is the red plastic?
Some parts are plastic, and some parts are metal like T stem and foot deck.

I'm impressed with the P100s features but the only problem is the range, it should reach up to 100km in eco mode but in sports mode somewhere between 50‐60km range. Kudos to Segway for upgrading their fleet for this year and beyond! 😃
Just so you're aware, there should be no "problem with the range," as Segway has disclosed both the ECO and Sport numbers per their own real-world benchmarks as follows:
"The P100S offers a max range of up to 62 miles* (100 km). The P65 offers a max range of up to 40 miles* (65 km)
*Max range: Tested while riding with a full battery, 75 kg (165 lbs) payload, 25°C (77°F), at the speed of 12.4 mph (20km/h)."
"With the sport mode and a 75kg (165lb) load, we evaluated a range of 50.6km while riding with a fully charged battery."

Its the same her in Denmark and in Germany. I allways say in my country that they should make it the same laws as scooters with is 30km/h.

If you had the GT2 then you will be impressed with the range in 2WD mode, and that includes 1WD too! Perhaps Segway can fix the range with the GT3 version or a Hyper-scooter?
Gt2 does not have that much range in fast mode.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace Its decent but 30Ah/1512Wh battery sounds very large on paper but in reality the dual motors will drain it quickly! Only if it had x1 Regen brakes then perhaps it can last longer?? Or bump up the range up to 100km?
@@gtone339 you can't have speed/power and range yet. Maybe in the next 5 to 10 years we get battery tech that will allow that.

I really want GT1 (GT2 is just out of my reach) or p100s. But them both are quite heavy for everyday usage. So i sticked with f40. Hope they release lite version. Because the only things these two hool me is dual suspension. Ride f40 for years and couldn’t enjoy the ride. Alway have to lowering speed to avoid gaps on road. Not fun at all, and if you had a long ride you definitely want suspensions. Or your knees gonna hurt and turn to hate your scooter.

Did you find it? Its in the settings. Thats how you unlock the red sport mode

Can't wait to get mine!!! Let me ask, is the size and weight of the P100s ideal to carry down the stairs into the NYC subway? I sometimes take the number trains and you know how narrow those trains are. I was thinking about keeping my Ninebot Max if it is.
it depends how much you can lift. For me 30 kg is not that heavy and I can manage easily.
seems way to heavy to carry up NYC subway stairs. You have to be careful not to injure yourelf.
@@ratchfordgeorge 30 kg weight is light for some people and the opposite for others. For the features and range packed it is ok.
I'll be using the p100s with the subway as well. It seems to be on the heavier side. As a backup make note of the closest stations with elevators so you can hop off there and just cruise the rest of the way.
You need two hands. 72.5 lbs. is not lightweight. It is a hefty machine. Not even so much the weight but the fairly big size will not make the NYC subway commuters too happy. Besides, this machine is meant to be ridden. Meant to take you to your destination and back without having to use mass transit.

Hi, it really looks like there is a button for cruise control? Could that be, finally??? Like with cars? I'd be so happy! Most cruise control take 5 seconds at same speed to engage, and in my neigborhood, the roads are bad, so it's frustrating trying to get 5 seconds of same speed. Please can you tell me a bit more about the cruise control on that scooter? Thanks

Is weight really 36.8kg? It stated on Kickstarter page so. But in other materials it stated that the weight is 30.5kg.
For 36.8 it way too heavy for the specs
it is a mistake it weights 32kg.

Good question but a but irrelevant since for me 100 ponds it's not heavy and I like to go fast for a fried of mine that it around 150 lbs he is unable to move the gt1 around so P100S is the better choice. I like both scooters but they are build for different purpose. For commuters p100S is a the best option.

Hopefully that computer console is crash proof seeing that has to be on in order for it to work. I'd suggest anyone getting either of these to put a protective bumper around the display. Like a huge phone case. Drop that once or twice I guarantee you that display will start twitching.
Yup! Just know that the Segway-Ninebot Super scooter GT2 2022 model has a protective cover since the display uses a transparent PMOLED display rather than a digital led display.
Sure hope they fix the speed. 25 vs 30 mph is significantly less than advertised for top speed.

@@ElectricVehicleSpace There's supposed to be 4 drive modes and you only mention 3. Also missed the mark with the 25 mph comment and the range test was really low. Please do a new review with everything updated. There's no way a scooter advertised for 62 miles can only do 28 miles. The previous ninebot Max G30P could do 28 miles so it doesn't make any sense.
you're supposed to ride 3 miles before you're unable to unlock the max speed setting in S mode. the OP really damaged the reputation of this scooter by uploading this video with bad info.

When I asked segway. They hinted that it will first be in 2023 there is some laws in the EU they have to follow on it the get it rdy here.

Segway Official is quoting out to October, likely not willing to speculate late-August or September because they can't ensure that international and domestic supply chain will allow for it. Point is: Don't read in to the August time frame because that's just the first, basic milestone of US sea container arrival.

thanks for the video but why compare the P100S so the GT series scooter? they aren't even in the same class. the GT series are the powerful "beast" scooters and the P65 and P100S are commuter/recreational scooters. you should compare the P65 and P100S imo.

나인봇 맥스g30디자인에서 내장 충전킷을 빼버리고, 발판을 배터리 1~2개 정도의 폭을 넓혀서라도 회생제동 포함 100km 정도는 가게 해주길 바랬는데.. 확보된 공간에 배터리 추가하면 가능한데..
(실제 이정도는 돼야 몸무게가 좀 더 무거운 사람이 좀 더 빠르게 타면 55~70km는 가는데.. 아쉽다.
아무리 충전시 선 하나만 가지고 다니는 편리함이 존재한다 하더라도 누가 도중에 타면서 충전까지 생각하고 선을 가지도 다니는 사람이 몇이나 될까?)
킥보드 핸들 목이 접히는건 당연한거고.. 핸들 손잡이가 다시 접히는 2중 접이식이여서 휴대성이 대폭 향상 됐음 했는데..
최고속도는 진짜 욕심 안내고 25~35km 정도면 되는데.. 그 이상을 원한다면 다들 기함급으로 넘어가니..
배터리는 좀 더 고급 리튬이온 배터리를 사용해서 가뿐히 100km 정도는 회생제동 포함 갈 수 있는 제품을 원했는데..
(그로인해 오르는 가격대야 뭐 어차피 소비자 몫이니..)

개인적으로 나인봇 맥스 G30을 개조해서.. 내장 충전킷과 기본 배터리를 빼버리고 그곳에 26650이나 32350배터리를 넣어서 적산거리 100kg 사람 기준 80~100km는 회생제동 포함 갈 수 있게 만들어서 타고 싶어진다..
나인봇 맥스 g30도 손잡이가 별도로 접히는 구조로 만들면 휴대시 너무 좋을 듯.. 흠..

I need help. After watching your review I purchased a new P100s. I have been unsuccessful in obtaining the Segway handlebar extender, phone bracket and side view mirror as illustrated in the kickstarter promo.
Segway customer service is useless. Bad English and don’t have any clue as to what I’m talking about. All they say is watch the Segway store. How they can get away with this when customers have spent over $2K for there product including taxes I don’t have the faintest idea.

Small wheels as compared to a regular bike, narrower physics make scooters a scary investment for many.

I got a scooter last year cause I had no idea they were dangerous, after 6 months of light riding, I had an awful accident when I hit a rock straight on that I didn’t see (it changed from sun to shade) and I went flying and landed super hard on my side. I got a terrible concussion! After that, I bought two e-bikes! I don’t understand why they don’t make scooters with bigger tires!

You have to have that extra weight if you incorporate all of the functionality and the sturdy frame unless you use TI or carbon but then you will complain on the price.

To EVS and all others seeing this regarding the anti-theft alarm, I just got official word from the Segway Team via the Kickstarter backer updates page. See below:
"Hi Artem, thanks for your support and feedback. As for the anti-theft system, the original setting was: that the alarm would start beeping when someone tried to move the scooter via the sensor for vibration.
