Great video. The energy buidling up at a marathon like this is amazing. I was running the Hong Kong Half Marathon this year and from start to finish you have all those runners around and ppl cheering. This is really giving a boost. Gonna run the Full Hong Kong Marathon in Feb2020. Training is on!!! (Following your plan btw 😀)
Hey! Thanks so much and yes you’re right. The energy got me round. I loved every second of it. And good luck with the marathon! Let me know how it goes 👍🏻
Discovered this channel very recently. Really great stuff. Ben you're very strong on camera which is not so common. Keep up the awesome work. Regards, Harry
Fantastic video and amazing time! Love how consistent the km splits are, and how you're tracking ahead of target all the time. Even more incredible after your injury! Well done!
Crazy that now you're on the brink of attaining sub 2.40! And that you ran a sub 3 in Boston while still so sick you had to walk a bit. Really amazing the differences that time and consistency brings!
Congratulations Ben. I run for the Knowsley Harriers and managed to get a place for the VLM this year through our club ballot after only applying for two years, so I was absolutely over the moon. My time wasn’t anywhere near as brilliant as yours but I managed to finished in 5:04:12, gutted I didn’t get under 5 hours but I did well for my first ever marathon. I was doing great till I got to 19 miles and then hit the wall, thought I was going to have to pull out but as you already know the support from the people of London was absolutely overwhelming and that’s what got me to the finish line. I did say NEVER AGAIN at the finish line but I’ve managed to get a place on the Salvation Army for next year, got to beat 5 hours. Congratulations again mate on your amazing achievement, hope your hips doing well.
That’s awesome, John! Good luck to you for next year. Maybe I’ll see you there!! Am hoping I’ll qualify as good for age and then hopefully run it as many times as I can qualify. Totally in love with it. Really hope you get a sub 5! Thanks for commenting 😊
This Messy Happy Fingers crossed for you Ben that would be absolutely amazing being able to run it every year. Good luck mate and keep the videos coming 👍🏻
Running it in two months after a 3 year wait due to covid. You are part of my inspiration. Motivation has bee hard to maintain, but it has returned just in time. Your walking seemed like me after New York. Congrats on your great time!
What an unreal video, the race does look amazing! I've got my name down in the ballet for next year so hoping to get a place, done a few half before and in training now for one next month but never a full one! Its videos like this want makes you want to go out and run! 👍

This Messy Happy Hi Ben, training is going well thanks mate. My son and I are running the Vitality half this Sunday, looking forward to it as every little helps.
Really awesome video. The first few mins of it was so good, with the selection of the music and your face, haha. My pulse really did go up by the excitement you built up so well. What a awesome result! Congrats on a job well done! :)
