I just bought the Cloudsurfer but will return them for the cloudmonster as I heard most cloudsurfer owners complained about a horrendous squeaking sound after some time

Heard the same thing. Going for the Cloudmonster as well.

I have both and my perception is that the monster feels slightly rockered compared to the surfers, I have to think it's due to the plate on the monsters and the surfers are quite flexible which in my perception diminishes that rocker feel. The surfers are indeed softer, where you feel the "squish" on each step compared to the monsters. My only nitpick is for the surfers to have more stack in the forefoot, and maybe get the drop to 8mm. But needless to say, I also think both shoes or any running shoe, can be utilized for any workout, it's just a matter of preference. Kudos to your channel!

Hi, I had to go up 0.5 size in monsters, is it the same for surfers? Thanks

Having run for about 250k with the Cloudsurfer it has become my most liked easy day trainer. I can't see any kind of wear at the outsole, but I never seem to run off the outsole of my shoes.

I don't run at all but I walk about 15 miles a day at work in a warehouse on concrete. Would you recommend these shoes for me as well?

@@kentuckymonkeys I like wearing them at work as well. But I don't do that distance everyday. At this moment my Cloudsurfers have 700k with running and walking. If you don't mind the thick upper they are really comfy.

Absolutely love my Cloud Surfers, but they started to squeak pretty loudly after about a month of walking in them miles each day. Any tips on how to stop ON shoes from this dreaded squeak? lol

put baby powder in the "cloud" sole and solved the problem

The surfer is the best recovery or super easy shoe. I am not sure why a shoe has to be judged to do everything.

which is softer on foot for someone who stands 13 hours a day

I tested today and found a surfer is a bit wobbly under the heel. It has a less snappy feel on the ground when walking. And the monster I feel more gripped or snappy feel on the ground while walking which makes me more controlled and comfortable with confidence.

@alexFilitti which one do you advise for nurses? 12 hour shifts?

My main problem with the ON shoes was the stones in the outsole and the hard plate under the insole that killed my metatarsal. I think the Cloudsurfer is a winner. Nice to hear it is not good at pace above 4.30. That's OK. It's my maximum running speed for any considerable distance 🎉

the Cloudsurfer can also collect stones, it is such a nice easyday trauier for just running along

Alex, if you had to get one of these for walking, what would be you choice? And how about the cloudstratus, is it comparable?

    • @AlexFilitti
      @AlexFilitti  Год назад +1

hi Félix! I would probably go for the Monster for walking and that's purely because the upper of the Surfer is too hot for my feet. Cloudstratus is much firmer and less comfy ;-)

I dont know if these 2 shoes should be compared really, they serve different purposes.
The surfer also does not have a speedboard anymore they removed it on this last verison, i think its one of the big reasons i enjoy it so much.
Its just a really comfortable good looking recovery shoe now.
The Monster is an all rounder, can do a bit of everything... except recovery runs imo.
