I agree Tim. Ali is talking all the what we as Christians should be looking at value, community, mind set. Thank you Ali Saadiq thank you Tim. This was highly enlighten. Thank you for bringing him to our community because the seed is still being dropped. I love it. Keep him in prayer everyone that Christ will shine and be revealed in his life. Thank you for this❤❤❤❤

Hey. I don't know if Basement crew gon see dis but i must say: This was BY FAR unintentionally the most teachable podcast for us Christians. A lot of Christians dont know how to do life (or maintain a regular conversation) with another human being thats not from the same faith.😢 Love ya'll!
That’s crazy to say because we definitely do it EVERY SINGLE DAY. And idk what your definition of “doing life with” is, but it’s arguable that we’re actually not supposed to be doing life with those who aren’t believers. Having conversations is one thing, doing life with is another, in my opinion.
Hands down this is one of the best podcast episodes on the internet in 2024. This was not an interview, this felt like two old friends catching up on life.
This is the podcast Ali needs. I’ve watched so many podcasts and interviews and when he gets emotional people act like they aren’t here for it. They just want to laugh. This was beautiful. His emotions were met with compassion and they were appreciated!!!! I love Ali
Podcast episodes like this is beautiful orchestrated randomness. Ali starts with a point, gets going on a story, a memory, an example or two, have some laughs… But then he always comes back to a point. And he was funny as always. Not many can do this, but Tim being a great listener and Ali being a great storyteller, definitely a must listen
My absolute favourite comedian since Bernie Mac. I'm looking forward to this conversation. Go Tim! Go Ali!🎉🎉🎉🎉 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ from all the way in Canada!!!
The vulnerability, honesty, genuineness mutual respect, and understanding these two have exchanged in this podcast was “Chefs kiss”!! Much gratitude and appreciation. Ali is one of the best to do it. So many gems of wisdom in this episode. ❤️🙌🏾
Great father good example for the listens , my son is 3 a few weeks ago I looked and him picked him up told him I loved him and starting crying happy tears for no reason
This brother knows how to go through an emotional memory and then bring the comedy back into it to make you laugh when your teared up....just good convo between two real masculine grown men who are not ashamed to show emotions
Damn, my momma passed 01/31 although they say 02/01/24. Diagnosed w/pancreatic cancer TG of 22’. I watched “loss” and had never laugh/cried so hard n my life. Thank you both for sharing the stories of your fathers. ❤ My daddy went hm 10/03/2010 suddenly. Worst pain I’ve ever felt. Best man I ever knew. ❤🙏🏾
OMG! Ali is the real deal. My daughter & I went to Charlesto SC to his show a couple of months ago. Thank you Bruh Tim Ross for this interview. I’ve been sharing with others 20 minutes into the recording & will watch it again today. I Love my Brothers!! ❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
This is my first time ever hearing about Ali Siddiq (don’t judge me 😊) This was an amazing podcast. Some gems were dropped, tears shed and belly laughs. 💜
This is the BEST INTERVIEW THIS YEAR. I LAUGHED AND CRIED AND WAS SO SAD I DIDNT HAVE THIS KIND OF FATHER AND MY SONS DIDNT HAVE THIS KIND EITHER. BUT I WANT THEM TO WATCH THIS SO THEY CAN BECOME ONE FOR THEIR KIDS. THANK YOU. BEST THANKSGIVING GIFT.
Ali Siddiq is the type of person that you interview but don't have to interview. Ali Siddiq is a natural born communicator & one of the best storytellers ever. I appreciated the fact that T.Ross just allowed the interview to flow and blossom naturally. I was engaged this entire time - laughing at times, crying at times. Full of jewels and life lessons. It may be one of the best yet!
Good interview right here..I really felt that part about arrange marriage..I told my wife that my son's future interested should be the little girl around the corner from us..I work with her dad, we know her mom..They in the same class together..I just feel comfortable because, I know the family and their structure..It sounds crazy in America to think like that..But, I just want the best situation for my son in a Black Healthy Marriage and Relationship.
I've been a huge fan or Ali for years now and when I tell you this man is not your average comedian! He is hilarious but also a beautiful storyteller!! I've never cried and laughed while watching a comedy special, I mean real tears and then tears from laughing so hard in one setting. He deserves his flowers and I'm excited to watch this interview and for him to possibly be introduced to a new audience.
My Dad had a truck that he bought new it was handed down to me after his passing when I sit in it I can still smell him like he's sitting by me.its my mission to restore it man thank you for everything in this episode Ali is my favorite comedian
This was a real, grown, enlightening conversation. I need stuff like this and every time I see ali, I click because it's like sitting and listening to an uncle or something. In a world full of engineered stuff , it's good to hear someone who speaks from a real, organic space that's both comical but also does not shy away from this thing called life. REAL LIFE CONVERSATION. Ali , I thank you so so much.
The Creator is great! I am a big Ali fan and am touched by his story and spirit. His comedy is the best I heard and love his turnaround from the streets. When I listened to his standup, I was thinking that’s God speaking through this man! He don’t need no special on Netflix this man is already doing it big. I thought to myself when is this man going to sit down and speak about the Lord..then this collab happens! Tim, the Basement, and Ali thank you! Just a random thought, Tim gave his life to the Lord on January 14, that’s my birthday! Crazy how things speak to you in a way only God can, especially when we don’t got father figures to guide us! This year been the hardest year of my life, I had a lot of losses. But if I hadn’t been vulnerable, I wouldn’t have found the best version of myself and got closer to God. Then I came across this pod that is all about vulnerability…wow words can’t explain how the shift of momentum/change is. My soul is smiling knowing I’m not alone.
I listened to the end! I Love Ali! I love to see two people with different religions sit down and have great conversation! It’s always been possible! And there’s always something to learn ❤
This brought so much clarity . He is such a honorable person and he encouraged me to continue to respect integrity. Thank you for presenting him to me and I will be going to see his stand up!
Y'all, I absolutely enjoyed the heck out of this ep. Two grown men talking about life; this was high frequency vibes. AAAAHHHH! I am utterly refreshed! This was the greatest thing I could have watched on today (11.27) as I count the 4th year of my mother's death. The funniest thing of it all was the cells in my body that recognized adults saying goodbye (too many times) while simultaneously continuing the conversation 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. The little one in me was triggered, but the adult me was loving the conversation, so it is what it is. Ugh, excellent ep! 💛💚❤️
This hit home for me on so many levels. I laughed and cried. I was so fortunate to have met him after a show a real good brother. Truly The Best Thank you Basement & Shukron Ali ❤
Lemme telll you something, I’ve watched damn near every Ali interview and this was THE BEST one. So grateful y’all created a fantastic space for him to share all of this wisdom 🙏🏽✨
I am not sure why this interview was on my algorithm. I have passed it up so many times. In my mind this is a man's conversation. So much was opened up for me and to me. Fathers are important, and I am finally making amends with mind. God bless them all wherever you all are blessing. ❤ this was alot.
This is hands-down the best podcast, if not interview, I have ever seen! The beauty of truth, vulnerability, and brotherhood was amazingly moving! Thank you for sharing!
Like a great poet once said “I used to pray for times like this” This was the interview I’ve wanted to see bad. Thank you to everyone who made this happen
This is more than just a podcast... Ali talks about "Life" on so many avenues... integrity, influences, fear, faith, what tv show depicts you, growing up when hip hop went big, not having much of a father in our life, being dope, negativity, struggle, mental stability, picking a mate and being a young adult in prison. He really touches on so much in this talk with Tim Ross. I love it and he's so funny. He is seriously got to be a professor on life and should be called 'Professor Ali." He is so funny and genuinely an all-around up standing guy who you are going to want to listen to. I hope to meet Ali, one day. I encourage everyone to listen to this podcast as well as all his comedy. Caution- if you don't want to laugh then keep it moving!
If I could press like several times, I would! God Bless you Tim Ross and God Bless Ali Saddiq. I always stop what I am doing and watch Ali when I notice anything new. I realize that he discussed new information whenever I stop to watch.
Just finished watching the podcast. Amazing is an understatement. I love the conversation, so many nuggets & a wealth of wisdom shared. Excellently done. It was an absolute blessing.
Man…that spit about being on vacay and meeting similar minded kats is 💯💯💯. Me and wifey met a kat from Memphis way in Cartagena CO a few months ago, we still keep in touch!
Absolutely amazing in every aspect of existence! So many layers of deep knowledge and understanding with great perspective and cognitive relative awareness! Sooo sooo sooo great ! Wow truly special !

I love this conversation. So genuine and real life situations and circumstances to explain life’s journey.
